The flights are a bit pricey...see receipt...also, there is some strange math happening as well.

Mixed review here. Huge space! Lots of taps, including more than just craft beer...There are ciders and seltzers on tap as well. This would be a fun place for a big group or for you to enjoy time on the patio. Heads up: The Schaumburg location has food inside, this location does not. The tables inside were also a bit sticky; not sure if it was the type of table and finish it had or if it was because of the muggy feel inside. Lastly, the big stinger for me was the price. $18 for a flight is crazy. It does not even total two pints, yet you pay for more than what two beers would normally cost for the flight. That was a turn off to me. It does have five pours, but still. Overall, I like the Schaumburg location better, but if price is not an issue for you, you may like the ambiance of the St. Charles location.

    Off Stem cider.

I believe this location is temporarily closed for remodeling, but once it reopens, and food is available, I am sure it will be great! Similar to the Schaumburg location, very helpful and friendly servers, a wide selection of beer, cider and craft cocktails, in a relaxed atmosphere. We brought our dogs and saw dogs on the patio too. While there wasn't food available, we were able to order food through Uber Eats. If the food available after remodel is as fabulous at the Schaumburg location, it will make this place even better! I look forward to returning after the re-opening!

So beautiful as night sets in and the world is lite on fire with fun!

Incredible space to gather with friends whether inside or outside. The interior features an awesome collection of craft beers for choosing and don't hesitate to ask the bartenders as they know their stuff! Why get lost among 50 different varieties when you ask the professionals. Once you choose then maybe kick your legs up near the metal sculpture fire pit shaped as the world! I've popped in to have a drink as well as held an event here. Owners could not be more accommodating, extremely present during the entire event stepping into handle anything needed. Our guests enjoyed the pop up food which was delicious and the trivia entertainment. Definitely a place worth returning and nothing sweeter than a dog-friendly establishment that welcomes the whole family in!!!!

First off, I'm a huge HopHead. Right off the bat, this place presents you with a tough choice of which tap to pull from. The beer I had was fresh and the bartender was kind, unlike some beer-centric pubs that grow impatient with beer questions. They don't serve food here, but they have menus for local eateries for delivery or pick up to dine in the pub. With that, the added bonus is that DOGS ARE PERMITTED in the establishment according to the bartender. This will be an easy sell to bring my wife back with me next visit. I am extremely particular about my IPA. The beer choice and dog-friendly atmosphere will make me a regular here.

Great casual tap house to add to the area. With over forty rotating taps, bring your own food, and a passionate owner, this place is an undiscovered gem. They have multiple tv's, the NHL Sunday ticket, and there is always something new to try on tap. With over 40 rotating taps the Owner's passion in providing a variety of beers to his customers is very apparent. They also offer flights if you can't decide on just one brew. The global brew house is a great place for a low key afternoon hangout with friends. Also, it's dog friendly!

Rec room area complete with an Atari.

Entering the brewery on a Friday around 6pm it was busy but not overly crowded. Definitely had the feel of a community brewery that has local regulars there to support it. A lot of offerings to choose from but I went straight to a cask conditioned porter that was fantastic. You can't find cask conditioned ales in most places. Others in our group had great things to say about the lagers and IPA's. Thanks to Art History Brewing for hosting us. We will be back for a return visit next time we are in town. Has beers and games to play. There's lots of cheap specials. An interesting interior. It's located in a strip mall. They still manage to have a great atmosphere in spite of it though. Has quite a bit of games. It's about $7 a pint. Best one of these we had was the Good Night Bamberg. This is a Rauchbier which is rich and toasty. Get half off pints on Mondays. There's not much to eat except $2 bags of almonds and peanuts. Fun filled atmosphere. It's open every night unlike many others. There's a hipster nerdy kind of vibe, and they even have an acoustically controlled and quiet workspace, so it's a great place for both chilling and working.

There was a good size crowd there which added to the experience because everyone was enjoying their delicious beers and it was great meeting people. It felt like a community gathering place. A good amount of choices, whether it's light or a strong one that will kick ass. They also have a food menu, with basics such as pretzels and snacks. For the most part it's good. It's located in an old building downtown that has a couple levels. The upstairs is often used for private events like parties. If it's not available then it's hard to get a seat anywhere. The seats at the bar fill up, and there's only a few tables. It's about $7 a pint. There's a few of the more stronger ones that cost more though. Best one we had the last time was the 3 Amigos Imperial Stout. Full bodied and thick as a brick too. There's notes of ancho chilis, cacao nibs, cinnamon, and vanilla. Also got something to eat. It's $8 for the Bavarian Pretzel. Helps to absorb the alcohol. They also have chips and salsa among the food options. Got to add it to the list of breweries that seem to be everywhere in this city. It's located on Shumway Avenue in a historic old building full of history. This is a popular place to have private events or whatever.

Thankfully, we were able to sit outside while we waited and listen to the live band, which made the wait much more enjoyable. I am not sure how crowded it gets on a typical weekend, but during the fest, it was definitely packed. When we were finally seated, we were placed in our own small section of the restaurant with no other tables around us. That was interesting because we had waited so long for a table, yet no one else was seated in that area the entire time we were there. Staff picked up after we were seated, so it was frustrating to see empty tables while the wait continued. Our waiter, however, was very friendly and attentive, which helped balance out the experience. For lunch, I ordered the Truffalo Hot Chicken Sandwich ($18.99) with fries, and it was excellent. The chicken breast was huge, crispy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat, and the truffle buffalo flavor really stood out. My husband ordered the Alter Caesar Salad ($18.99), but he said it was nothing special and should not have been that expensive. There really isn't that much to the salad, and the chicken wasn't even seasoned or grilled. I tried it, and it tasted like the chicken in those grab-and-go grocery store pre-made salads. Very disappointing for the price. Overall, despite the long wait due to the fest crowds, the chicken sandwich and service made the visit worthwhile. I would definitely return, especially on a less busy day to get a better feel for the normal dining experience, but I do not recommend the Caesar salad.
