I was craving sushi for the longest time, and I decided to get mg fix by having hand rolls at home. I ordered 1 pound of salmon, and a 1/2 pound of hamachi. You can text your order ahead of time, but I went around 3:00 today. There was no in line, and I was able to order fast. The person helped and sliced up the fish super fast. It looked like there was less salmon even though I ordered twice as much salmon. There ended up being some salmon belly in my order which was so fatty and delicious. I asked for wasabi, but they ran out. I did get the pickled ginger for my boyfriend which was a big portion for $1.50. The sign said they charge 75cents for less than $40 order. My total came out to $37, and I was not charged anything extra. Maybe because it was close enough. All in all, this place is great. A short and to the point review, for a short and to the point establishment. Ocean plus is in a small non descript storefront and they pretty much only sell sashimi to go. I've been wanting to come here for a while based on a recommendation. I live about 50 miles from here but it was worth the drive. I had a small birthday party recently and thought it was the perfect time to try it. I got a roughly 5 lb mixed sashimi tray. They cut the fish fresh and arrange it perfectly on their to go trays. They have all the regular sashimi you want and can pretty much get you anything. They do recommend and advise calling in ahead. Calling ahead serves two purposes: One, you get the fish you want, and second, the are usually busy and booked up. I didnt know this, and just happened to get lucky that it was end of year and they weren't busy so they took care of me while I waited. Great spot to come for cheaper sashimi. I think it's honestly cheaper than big chain supermarkets. It's definitely a no frills spot and you do get what you pay for. You can call ahead and place an order if you have a huge order, I've heard people also message them on instagram. If you are feeding a huge party I would prefer to order from here because of the price point. If you want it for taste, I would recommend the other sashimi place near by known for the Cali rolls. Haven't ordered from here for awhile. The ordering process is fairly easy. I called in 3 days in advance to place an order. 2 pounds of salmon and 1 pound of tuna which came out to be about $80. It has been a few years since I last ordered from this seafood market and I finally came back recently for an order of 3 dozen oysters for my at home seafood party! We called two days in advance to place our order and we asked if they could shuck the oysters for us. Once we picked up our order, it was nicely packaged and super fresh!
