I was looking for Jong, which is sweet rice wrapped in tea leaf and mixed with pork belly thousand year egg and beans. Dim Sum restaurants have it untied, but I like to steam my own. This store had a variety of these rice tamales and almost anything from Asia can be found here, especially tofu. The wrapping of the Jong was not with cotton twine or string, but an elastic looking cloth that reminded me of a strap. I'm not sure how it's going to steam, but will likely take the elastic string off and replace with cotton, in case there are chemicals in the material. Service was fast, but I had a hard time understanding the cashier say $19.50 for three...

I almost want to gate keep this spot. V K Foods sell a variety of fresh daily made soy products and their prices are beyond reasonable. Their fried tofu is extremely popular and their fresh soy tofu pudding with the ginger syrup sells out quickly in the morning, so you have to act fast to score that. I come here to grab the one gallon fresh soymilk which is only $5! You'll pay the same amount at a big box Asian grocery store for a half gallon of mass-produced pasteurized stuff that doesn't compare to the quality, value and taste that V K Foods provides. This is a small business that you won't regret supporting!

I'm so happy I found this place on Yelp that opened early. I wanted to get cold tofu pudding, but the tofu place in Monterey Park closed on Tuesday. This V K Food Products is located on Valley Blvd. inside of a strip plaza in Rosemead. I like they have many tofu selections and Vietnamese desserts. I bought the cold tofu pudding and a BBQ meatloaf plate. However, the cold tofu pudding wasn't smooth enough. The meatloaf plate tasted okay but the meat quantity was tiny and they were cut into very thin slices. The price was reasonable. They accept credit cards and debit cards but they will add a 5% extra charge on each transaction.

I guess it's more popular than boba shops or fancy purses. I have to wait in line outside just to get in LOL. Wanted to try their famous tofu It comes in small box with 12 pieces of warm fried non crispy tofu for $2. Mushroom tofu same- 10 pieces It's actually very very tasty tofu. Good to use toward ah-sone-thote or salad mix. Or soups. Or just snacking

Wow, didn't realize how popular tofu pudding was! Came here around 3pm and there weren't anymore left except for Pandan tofu. It was my first time trying it and it was pretty good! Not as silky as the one I go to but this place will do for me. Great price and lots of goodies too!

This spot serves fresh soy products such as tofu, tofu pudding, and soy milk as well as other vietnamese togo food items. My mom used to take me here as a kid and their soy milk was always the best. This time i went back to try their other foods. I ordered the pandan tofu pudding, which came with a syrup. It tasted freshly made and smooth. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth without being overly sweet or heavy. I also ordered their coconut jelly which was also refreshing and light. I also tried their shredded pork skin spring rolls and fermented pork rolls. The spring roll came in three and it was filling. The pork roll was tasty and i liked how there were no big pepper corn pieces. Parking was in a small lot and there were some customers coming in and out. The items were relatively cheap, many probably less than $10. It's definitely a great spot if you need to pick up a quick lunch.

Went back. No tofu pudding at 6:30am, but the older lady was there. Love her so much! Best customer service!

*** 5% Extra Charge on Credit Card & Debit Card Transaction *** I am still a bit traumatized by their bánh mì from almost three years ago, but this place has slowly become my go-to spot for fresh unsweetened soy milk. It is interesting that the cashiers always remind me, 'This is unsweetened and not sweetened soy milk,' every time I purchase it. [Parking]: Small free parking lot and parking shouldn't be an issue. [Amenities]: It is take-out only and customers will need to eat in their cars, This shop doesn't have any indoor seating. [Products]: 1/2 gallon unsweetened soy milk ($3) are located near the front entrance. Customers will need to ask the cashier if they want a gallon of unsweetened soy milk ($5 - located behind the counter). Their signature fried mushroom tofu is priced at $2 for 10 pieces and the fried tofu is $2 for 12 pieces. They also offer a variety of Vietnamese grab-and-go food at the counter. [Conclusion]: I am slowly coming around and becoming a fan of this mom-and-pop shop as long as I steer clear of their bánh mì sandwiches. Try to stop by right after their 8 AM opening for the freshest soy milk.

A friend recommended this little store that sells a lot of tasty treats, not just tofu products. They had a lot of desserts from puddings, flan, rice cakes, sweet drinks and more. They also offered pre-made dishes with their tofu and meat loaf products including fresh spring rolls. There are also freshly fried egg rolls (cha gio) and bananas. Of course they also offered fresh & fried tofu, fresh soy milk and hot tofu dessert (tofu fa). The prices were not too expensive and service was good. They had 2-3 staff helping the steady flow of customers when I visited at noon on Friday. I ended up buying unsweetened soy milk, cold tofu pudding, hot tofu fa, and a vegetarian tofu stir fry with mushrooms and pickled mustard. All were good quality and tasty. I will have to go back so I can try some of their other products.

$5 mixed mushrooms and regular fried tofu
    Christine T.

It has been a long while that I came back to this store since my last bad experience with hot tofu pudding. I decide to try again so I came on Sat morning and they had a promo buy $5 get $1 for regular fried tofu. They can get very busy so there was line but it moved quickly. Service was not really friendly. I also bought the che troi nuoc on the counter and ate right after I got home and found out it's spoiled . The mung bean filling tasted sour. The che troi nuoc is all broken on the bottom of the cup. Was so disappointed.

5 pieces of perfectly fried tofu with mushroom for $2. It's so good by itself or a little sauce.

I'm not sure if we just ordered the wrong thing, but the milk shaved ice tasted sooo bland. The portions were huge but we felt like we were just eating ice with condensed milk :'). Which I know is essentially what it is, but it tasted less flavorful compared to other places? The small is definitely filling though and big enough to share. The biggest disappointment, though, was the crepe. It was incredibly chewy, hard to slice, and I guess rubbery? I think it was either overcooked or something went wrong with it. I'm not sure if my friend and I just got unlucky, but it was not an enjoyable experience. Place looked really busy though, despite it being 10pm on a Friday! Service was decent, it is what you'd expect from a dessert place where you're ordering from a kiosk. The workers did seem confused though when we asked questions about how strongly caffeinated the thai tea flavor was/what was the most popular. Seating was difficult to find because it was extremely busy! Overall, it's not a complete 1* yet, because I'm not sure if it was just a one off thing for the crepe and the shaved ice. Maybe will try again.

The coconut milk is blended with other things I think because it's not jarring like coconut milk straight out of the can. It's sweet but not too sweet. A perfect canto dessert!!
