Disclaimer: I am only on day 3 of my stay. I will update if anything changes. I wanted to highlight the great experience I have had with this resort because it needs to be said looking at these reviews. Booking: I called and booked at the beginning of this whole covid mess at a time when people were canceling. I cancelled a trip to Mexico and decided to go somewhere that I could drive. I called and spoke to Cheryl. She was so very polite. She expressed how appreciative she was of me making the booking. They altered their policy for covid and allowed late cancellations with full refunds because it was so new at that time. This was a great move by the company to provide top notch customer service. If I am ever looking to stay in Orlando again or am asked I will definitely refer this company. The place: The resort is beautiful (Windsor Hills) and not far from Disney. The house we stayed in is just as beautiful. See pictures. It was easy to check in also. We called on our second day to have heat turned on in the pool and have them look at sliding glass door. It was extremely hard to open and close. Someone was at the house within 30 minutes. They needed to replace the door which couldn't be done until the next day but it only took like 30 minutes. Not a bother at all it works perfectly. Everyone that I have talked to have been so nice and I wanted to recognize that. Again if I am ever looking to stay in Orlando these are who I would use. Fantastic stay in Punta Gorda, FL. The house had absolutely everything we needed and more. Plenty of towels, all the kitchen supplies and even pantry items. My suggestion is to arrive and see what's available before you go to the store. Most likely will not need items like salt, pepper, spices. The home was immaculate and beds/furniture were all very comfortable. We had technical and plumbing issues during our stay and Global was very fast to respond and resolve. It did not affect our vacation at all. Do not hesitate to book with Global if they have a house you are interested in. read more

Stayed at 8976 Amelia Trail ( Solara) in Kissimmee recently and was very unhappy to find mold in the downstairs bedroom and closet along with the air vents coming from the ceiling! The smell in the bedroom made it completely unusable and since the air conditioner blew through the ceiling vent we were constantly breathing this in! We paid extra for the pool to be heated and that gets shut off at 8 p.m each night and not turned back on until 8 a.m therfore the pool gets cold. Do not recommend and would not use again! To high priced to have to deal with the issues that come with the house! read more

Really nice, clean, and quiet neighborhood. The price was well worth the stay. The screen was down over the pool but the service man came and fix it. The air conditioning on 72° or above was murder for 23 people, didn't like that. Love the pool. But the stay was wonderful. read more

I've stayed at Global Resorts (Story Lake) year after year because it's my favorite. The homes I've stayed in were very nice, clean and close to everything I needed. The customer service is very good and if there is any minor problem they always send someone quickly to resolve it. If I have any down side it's that they don't rent houses past 6 bedrooms. PICK A DIFFERENT VACATION HOME - STAY AWAY FROM GLOBAL RESORTS. Take it from someone who has worked in the Travel Industry for 30+ years. You do not want to make the same mistake that we did and use Global Resort Homes. Here are just a few of the issues that we encountered. Please understand that their staff (Tatiana who stated that she is the boss of everything) is rude, defensive, will basically call you a liar and asks for time stamped photographs as she refused to believe any of the concerns that we had. They were substantiated issues and Tatiana basically could care less. · Refrigerator was not working upon arrival. We had to pull out the refrigerator and clean the vent that was loaded with dirt & dust to salvage over 700.00 in food. Global Resorts brought us a cooler and bags of ice in leu of fixing the refrigerator. They were more concerned that there was food in the fridge and took photos of the food vs. repairing the issue. Refrigerator was at 60 degrees and Freezer at 38. · Floors were filthy and we had to have them re-cleaned. · Toilets were filthy with pee and feces. · Pool was dirty with water bottles at the bottom of the pool with dirt at bottom of pool and hot tub. · Cigarette butts all in front of the property and Tatiana basically blamed us (we do not smoke) saying that they were too neatly arranged in the mulch. · Air Conditioner was literally pouring water from one of the vents all over the foyer floor and also soaking the carpet next to the unit upstairs. We were told that is normal due to condensation. We had to use a bucket to avoid flooding. · Tatiana wanted time stamped photos. Here are the photos that we provided and as photos are worth a thousand words, use your own discretion. · Advised we would be called back to address the issues and never received any return call or follow-up. I hope that someone from Global Resort Homes in an Executive level reads this post and so many other negative posts about the properties and specifically Tatiana who needs to learn what customer service is. Take this advice, look for another Vacation Home Rental to save yourself the aggravation. They advertise that their homes are extra clean due to the Pandemic; not even close, they are disgusting and they simply do not care about their customers. read more

We stayed at Windsor Hills this past week and the home we were in was fantastic. It was spacious, clean, and had our private pool. It was also walking distance to the main pool along with other resort amenities. The area was very safe and the house itself had lots of locks and gates to help with water safety. The area was also close to Disney, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Having two small children, we loved the stay and will definitely look at using Global Vacation Rentals in the future. The only reason that I did not give it a 5 out of 5 was we paid extra for pool heat, and I am not sure that the pool was actually heated; however, we really did not need it as the weather was so hot anyways. read more

My family and I have been renting with Global Resort Home for many years and we love it. Very affordable, beautifully decorated homes for small to large groups most in gated communities with security, so you feel safe. There are many resorts to choose from in the Disney area and most of them have great amenities to keep everyone entertained. We love getting a private pool/jacuzzi. The only downside is you have to pay extra to heat the hot tub and BBQ grill, which would be great if it was included in all the homes. The upside is if you are a returning guest they might give you complimentary pool heat upon request. Check them out! You won't be disappointed. My favorite resort is Champion Gate read more

Our stay was very nice. We had a spacious home in South Cove on one of the canals. The home was just as it was in the pictures. Clean and comfortable. We were close to Boca Grande which has a beautiful beachs with tons of shells to take home. During our stay the beaches had sea turtle egg nests protected which was very cool for our teenager to experience. Our home was in the middle of all the areas to experience. A little bit of a drive to see everything but worth it. Really great places to eat at in the area. The only complaint was I wish the house had a grill. Great vacation. read more

Terrible management company if you encounter any difficulty! I stayed at one of their properties and had some human's disguised as animal's staying above us in one of their units. They were drunk, obnoxious and extremely foul mouthed. I contacted Aileen who never demonstrated any empathy nor inclination to contact the tenants they rented to above us. I ended up calling the police because they were up all hours of the night and making so much noise that my kids couldn't sleep. I am a property owner and used Global Resort Homes for just under one year. They are dishonest and can not be trusted. We discontinued our contract with them on November 1 2022. It is now December 19 and they owe us 2500K and will not release the funds to us. They require owners to keep a 2000K reserve fund, they gave us 1000K of the reserve fund after we ended the contract, we are now asking them to give the rest of the funds to us to no avail. They also owe us rental income for a guest check out on November 1st and will not give it to us. I have more to say about how horrible this company is as a property manager, but I will end it here. There were no directions on how to check in. I had to call the owner, who gave me the number to the rental company. She was very rude and gave me a code to get in. The alarm went off and she told me it would stop on its own. It did not. The police came. She had to give me the alarm code. The house was in horrible shape. I understand there will be wear and tear with rentals. But I at LEAST expect them to maintain them. There was an OBVIOUSLY broken headboard. Another bed had broken supports underneath. The hot tub would not heat (one of the main reasons we rented this house was the hot tub). The plumbing for the hot tub pump was leaking. When the maintenance supervisor came he said it was supposed to be fixed weeks ago. It was never fixed during our stay. Several of the lightbulbs were burnt out. A couple were actually missing. The light fixture in an upstairs bathroom was faulty and was actually burning when in use. The entire bathroom smelled like it was on fire. The maintenance man cut the power to that fixture, but it was not replaced. The lamps were crooked and looked like they had been smacked around. The house was so dirty upon arrival. All the walls look gross. The beds didn't look professionally made. The vents appeared to be growing things. The coffee maker had dirt in it. There was trash out in the front lawn. The pool had dirt and hair bands in it. The tables and surfaces weren't clean either. The fans were very dusty. There was fake fruit on the table with teeth marks all over them. The paint was rubbed off the walls in multiple places. I immediately called and complained to both the owner and the rental company. Nothing was done about it. I was told by the rental company that they would not send anyone out and that it didn't match the pictures because they don't take pictures between people. Apparently they don't even take pictures every year. I was told the pool people would be there the next morning. They normally clean on mondays or Tuesdays regardless of when people check in or what's in the pool. They came Tuesday. I had checked in Sunday. The manager called and said she would email me how to check in and out so I didn't have to drive to the office. I never received an email. She also told me that she was talking to the owner about compensation and they would contact me back. I never heard from them. I tried to call on Saturday when I left but could only get voicemail. I rented this house for my friends and family who travelled from different states to come to my destination wedding. It was a complete disappointment and really dampened the whole trip. When Florida Sun Vacation Homes sold their business to Global resort Homes there was an incentive (no initial set up fee) to go with Global which we did. Frankie Magliocchetti, the Director of Owner Relations was nice enough when we met to discuss the transfer and setting up but once we were set up it was impossible to talk to or anyone in the office. I left multiple messages that went unanswered both voice mail and text. I found the organization to be overpriced (management fee, maintenance, cleaning, everything) compared to other management companies and on top of the higher cost their owner response time was extremely slow (this was long before COVID). We stuck with them for a year and half but finally had to change to a new management company. They were just too difficult to work with. We switched to Palm Tree Vacation Homes and so far they have been extremely responsive and their management fee, cleaning fee and maintenance fees are very reasonable. I do not generally write negative reviews but because of my long standing frustration I thought I would write a review to hopefully help others from making the same mistake that I did. read more

I stayed at Windsor Hills in unit 7652 otterspool, very clean all new appliances, stove microwave dishwasher and refrigerator that makes round ice the kids loved, new living room couch with recliners, new dining table,new ceiling fans, clean bathrooms, bedrooms new comforters on beds. We stayed at 2781 Almaton Loop #103. When we first entered the condo the lanai was very dirty and congealed food on the screens. Also the floors were filthy and I made them bring me a bucket and mop and after five buckets of black filthy water they were cleaner. They said they would send someone over to clean but I thought that it should have been done to begin with and masks would have had to be used. Carpets so filthy had to empty full sweeper three times. I cleaned carpet stains. I had to have them clean under beds because i couldn't reach and there were YEARS of dust and grime under them. Everything was grimey and I spent 2 days cleaning and no mention from them after complaining that I got a refund. Windows were filthy. We rented a home that global resort homes manages. When we arrived the home was not cleaned properly. There were spots of food all over the walls and cupboards. Stuff on the walls of the bathrooms. We had to sweep the floor as the floor was also dirty. The pool was absolutely disgusting. There was globs of hair all over around and in the pool. Garbage and clothing items around the pool. Broken glass. The pool was green and cloudy. I emailed to ask them to clean it the night we checked in. They didn't come until 430 the next evening. She swept the area and agreed it was unacceptable. She said she would contact her supervisor and ask her to get the area cleaned immediately. The next day we left to go to the beach. I emailed again to clarify they would be out to clean they said they would. Came home it was still disgusting. Called the next morning, someone finally came out about 11am to clean the pool and told us we couldn't use it until the following day, which was Wednesday. We checked out Thursday. Contacted them again, they stated they were told 4 hours. And didn't seem to care that the one amenity we rented the home for was not usable 4 out of the 5 days we paid for. I'll never rent a home they manage again. We spent $1700 for 5 days and had to clean up the home and could only use the pool for 1 day, not to mention all the time I spent trying to get someone to remedy the situation. Will never go back there again! Our "heated" pool (which costs extra) does not work has not worked for 2 days. And if it did it is only heated from 8am to 8 pm. And then we return from a fun filled day at the parks only to learn we can only get in one of the two gates. So we drove around to the other gate and say for about 30 minutes with a line of 20+ cars waiting to get in. Because for some reason each car took like 5 minutes to get thru. Absolutely ridiculous, for the price the service should match and it clearly does not. read more

Avoid at all costs. We got in for our stay at midnight. We were locked out. We called and no one answered . We had paid 2500 for the week but we had to find a hotel for night one. They called back at 9 am and let us in... finally. Day 4. They locked us out again with a note with a happy face on it saying we didn't check in. We had but the front desk lady forgot? Another night in a hotel. This place is horrible and will lock you out. Night call never answers the phone so after 5 if they accidentally decide to lock you out , you are in a hotel. Addendum: after this review went up they called us and called us liars. I think the saddest thing about this is that the home we stayed in was actually beautiful. We always stay in Paradise Palm and would love to stay in the house again. I feel bad for the owners who clearly put love into the property. The customer service here is just strangely awful. We also called to ask for the hot tub to be turned on and the lady told me that was too hard for them and suggested we use the club house hot tub. I had to fight with her and she finally agreed. The temperature in the home remained at 84. After complaining about that the guy said nothing was wrong with the AC. My favorite part of the experience was the smiley face they put on the note saying they locked us out. I would recommend the resort, Paradise Palm, but avoid Global Resorts. read more

Horrible experience! Do NOT rent from this company. We booked and paid for our trip to Disney in November 2019. Our trip was scheduled for the first week of April 2020. Due to the coronavirus our flight was canceled, Disney has been closed and the Government is recommending no unnecessary travel. This company refuses to give us a refund and has bullied us into rescheduling for next year. We spoke to many people at the company and each one was less helpful than the next. The last person we spoke to was Tatiana, the director of guest relations. She was rude, uncompassionate to our situation and belligerent. Her last email stated that this is the last time they will respond to our request and that she will be the last person that we will talk to at the company. This is no way for management to act in such unprecedented times. Airbnb and VRBO are all issuing refunds to customers that can't reschedule their trips. I will never rent a property from this company ever again And I hope you won't either. A company that uses the coronavirus to take advantage of consumers is not who you want to trust with your family vacation. What if something goes wrong on your vacation? What if the property or house is an as advertised? With a company like this take care of the problems and make it right. I don't think so based on my experience. There are many other places to rent vacation properties I would suggest that you look elsewhere. read more

I booked this home at 8136 sun palm drive in Windsor palms for reasons being equipped with rails to pool area. As I am traveling with a disabled sister. Upon arrival her trying to utilize the sidewalk to enter the home was impossible due to over growth hedges. Now we get inside to see soiled stained rugs, cabinet door handle comes right off, tv upstairs dont won't, microwave night light dont work, no dresser in the bedroom to put clothes away so we m living out of my suitcase. The pool cover is in such dissatisfaction and is constantly blowing into the pool. The children's play table out side is so rusted and sharp. The sewer smell is HORRIFIC HERE. And then there was a cockroach in the kitchen. (They did send pest control). There's 2 outside lights sitting on a table outside inoperable. The screen around the pool has several rips in it providing debri all day dropping into water. The hot tub have no seating in it at all and neither does the pool ( other then the steps down). I only wish I knew about all this prior to paying well over $2,258 for a week stay. Homeowners needs to keep a better watch on their investment properties. Holly Thrane read more

Tourists BEWARE! My family and I stayed on Kings Castle and could not have been more disgusted and dissatisfied. Our trip was rescheduled 3 times due to COVID so the excitement was an all time high once we got there. Upon arrival, the floors in the house were loaded with dirt, pool was filthy with Styrofoam and waters bottles in it, toilets had urine on them, the fridge was not working (we bought $800 worth our groceries for our 10 day stay), the ceiling by the front door was leaking, the upstairs bedroom floor was constantly wet and the room smelled like mildew. Mind you we paid the fee to have the home deep cleaned with their new COVID measures! We called multiple times - we had to continue to send pictures which was upsetting as the customer because they basically called you a liar. It took days for someone to clean the pool. We had to wait for someone to fix the fridge until after 1am for them to only bring ice and a cooler; we cleaned the fan on the back of the fridge out ourselves so it would work. This guy even took pictures of our food to show that we weren't lying about our grocery run. I mean how much lower can you go? Management had excuses for everything and refused to help. TATIANA - if you are reading this or your boss is...take some classes on proper professionalism and customer service. Your disrespectful behavior, tone and lack of people skills is absolutely disgusting. When we called, you continued to put blame on us for your property not being maintained and even screamed on the phone when trying to explain the issues. With multiple reviews stating the same about YOU, you should not be representing a company that caters to tourists. Inmates are treated with more respect than you treated us during our stay. And to top it off, Tatiana falsely advertises she is the boss that makes the calls for the entire resort. No one should have to experience this ever - and with this being my kids first vacation, first Disney trip - you should be ashamed you are a company operating for families that come specifically for Disney. read more

Vacationers beware! My husband and I, along with our 5-year-old daughter, 8-month-old son and my parents, were looking to rent a spacious home near Disney World for the week following Christmas in 2013. We found a home in the Windsor Hills subdivision that was being managed by Global Resort Homes. We were impressed by the pictures and were willing to pay the $3,500 total that it cost for a week's stay. Long story short - we were wrong and YOU SHOULD NOT STAY HERE (and, honestly, I would be hesitant to stay at any of the properties this company runs). For nearly $500 per night we expected the luxury experience we were sold. Instead we were treated to incompetence and indifference. The place was a dump and two of the things that we pre-paid for - a crib for our baby and the pool to be heated - took days to be provided. It nearly ruined our trip altogether but my family and I were able to grin and bear it and were just happy to be together. Again, for over $500 per night (and it was more when you factored in ancillary costs) you shouldn't have to "grin-and-bear-it". Here's a list of our major issues: 1. The place was filthy. They had one person cleaning the house when we arrived and it wasn't even close. The carpet was stained and had cigarette burns. There were areas that hadn't been dusted in months. The comforters on the beds were stained (we ended up going to the store and buying bedding), as were mats at the door and in the bathroom. There was mold in the showers. The entire place was filmy. We were told they would send a maid back over and that a manager would be by personally to inspect the place. No manager ever came over. We talked to them about switching homes and they said they would find us another place to stay. They didn't do that either. We just never heard back from them about it. 2. We paid to have a crib for my 8-month-old son to sleep in. There was no crib when we got to the house. We must've called 10 times, spoken to four different people, and they did absolutely nothing to get us a crib for that first night. People promised to "look into it and call us back" and never did. That night I had to put a mattress on the floor in one of the bedrooms and sleep on the ground next to my son because we didn't have anything to put him in. Needless to say, both of us got about two hours of sleep. It was not until my husband physically went over to the property manager's office TWICE the next day that we were finally able to track down a crib. It was nearly 3 p.m. the second day that it actually arrived. So we had to waste the better part of two days trying to solve the most basic, simple issue that a property manager could have. 3. We paid to have the pool heated, yet when we got there it was freezing cold. They sent someone out on the second day (after repeated calls by us), but it still took almost two days to warm up. So by the end of Day 4 of a seven-day trip we had the heated pool that we paid a couple hundred dollars for. 4. The website said "free shuttle to Disney!" and the woman who booked us over the phone also mentioned the shuttle service. But when we asked the property managers they denied it and said there was no shuttle and hadn't been for years. They denied that it mentioned anything about the shuttle on the website, but we physically showed them a screen shot of the site making that claim. They had nothing to say to that. 5. The upstairs and the downstairs thermostats did not work properly. My husband was able to jury-rig the system. But you couldn't just go over to it and turn the heat or air conditioning up and down like you would be able to in your home. 6. The pictures that were on the website were not of the house that we stayed in. The "game room" with a pool table and air hockey table on the website was, in reality, a garage rather than a room in the house (like the photos showed). That this issue is No. 6 on the list should tell you just how sketchy this whole experience was. 7. The home was not equipped with even basic household necessities, requiring us to go out and purchase things that we felt the home should have been equipped with. Garbage bags, coffee filters, dishwasher soap, salt and pepper, and a single sharp knife to cook with are just some of the things that we didn't have access to - at $500 per night. This place was ridiculous and we will not be staying there again. The location was good. But there are too many other options in the area to settle for this level of service, this shady of a dealing, and this low standard of what is acceptable at this price. Beware stay away! I have never written a totally negative review on YELP. However, this company needs to be exposed for what they are. When you pay $500 nightly for accommodations a certain standard is expected. You do not expect a house full of furniture purchased from big lots nor do you expect mold and shoddy workmanship throughout the home. The house was loaded with the cheapest appliances and furniture that money could buy. They actually had stickers on the master bedroom furniture saying do not use the drawers because they are broken. The carpeting throughout was stained and soiled to the point where they could not be cleaned, they should have been replaced sometime ago. This company will use housekeeping as an excuse but it's not a housekeeping issue it is simply maintenance. This is a (management) issue. On the bright side they did honor one of our five maintenance requests. We thought we saw a poisonous spider amongst the insect infestation they immediately came over. To our relief the exterminator explained it was just a common house spider. read more

We loved our home that we stayed in for 7 days. Spacious with great decor. When we checked in the reps were friendly and offered the kids a welcome packet! So nice. My only complaint is that they charge $50 to rent a grill - it's not included in the home! Cheaper to run to Walmart and purchase one. Also the drawer handles on our dresser were broken so it was a pain to open and close them. Really should be fixed. read more

We stayed at 2588 Archfeld Blvd, Windsor Hills Resort over Easter. This house is in need of a deep cleaning and much maintenance. Some issues we experienced were: kitchen table so beat up and wobbly we didn't dare sit at it, nor on some of the chairs. Carpets need to be cleaned and tile floors washed. Some of the lights in the kitchen burned out or didn't work, nor did the lights in the pool. Outdoor furnishings very poor condition some completely broken. Master bedroom mattress feels very used, should be replaced, same with family room furniture. Live Cockroach found in bathroom. Screening around pool broken in many places. A large grey squirrel got in while we were gone. We had to work to get it out through the door. Dust and cobwebs all over including outside. Stovetop worked, but looked awful. Pool and spa did seem clean although sometimes the timer for the spa would stick and it would get too hot. We stayed at high season, knew we were paying premium. However I really feel for this home we paid for the Ritz Carlton and got Motel 6! I did go into the Global office to inform them of the state of this house. Also I sent an email to our reservation contact person. I asked for a follow up, giving Global a chance to redeem themselves as a rental agency but did not receive any acknowledgement of my communication or concerns. There are things in this house that pose real safety hazards and health concerns. Don't be fooled by the pictures, they were taken years ago when it was new. Perhaps it's a case of an absent homeowner who doesn't know or doesn't care. If that's the case, Global needs to either get the homeowner to put money back into their investment or drop them as a client because it gives Global a bad name to rent a house in such poor condition. If Global didn't know how bad it is, shame in them for not checking their properties out better. The condition of this house did not happen overnight. High season, everything was booked in the area. The pool and spa worked so we put up with the state of this house. If there had been children with us we would have needed to move. This house was not appropriate for young children to be in. I'm sure not all Global properties are in this sad state. I had a terrible experience with this company this weekend. I rented an Airbnb and this company was the property management company for the property. My host at airbnb requested that I go to his property management company which is 45 mins away from the property. And unfortunately when I got their they were closed. I tried calling this company several times to tell them I was running late they called me after I wasted 45 min in traffic driving there and gave me the lockbox code. The next day they sent someone to put a notice on my door stating if I didn't come by the office to sign documents they would lock me out. I called the office immediately to tell them I had theme park tickets and did not have time to drive 45 min back to their office could they email me the documents. The rep emailed me a pdf file and told me to print it out and sign. Also requested my id and credit card. I sent the id and credit card but had no way of printing out the documents. I informed the company and went about my day. The people then sent someone to lock the door and my mother was locked out of the property. But we realized the back door was not locked so she was able to get in. Around 9pm that night they sent some big guy out to the property to scare us I guess and told my elderly mother he was calling the police on her because she was trespassing. My mother asked the man to call his supervisor in which he did. And the lady on the phone told him to just get my mother to sign. I couldn't sleep that night in fear that this man would come back and throw me my mother and my children out in the middle of the night. If you want to rent a house NEVER rent one where this company is the property manager or you take the chance of being locked out. read more

We stayed at the Oakwater Resort and had a wonderful time. Just got back ! Clean and beautiful, lovely pool and whirlpool. So close to Disney! The address was 2710 Oakwater Drive. Quiet and secure! Will definately do this again! 3 Bedroom and 2 bath for $750 for the week. read more

We rented a 9 bedroom house in Champions Gate. The house was gorgeous! The layout & decor was way nicer than we ever expected. Everything we needed was in the kitchen & the place was spotless. It had an amazing clubhouse & pool area close by to enjoy. We would highly recommend Global Resort Homes. read more
