I was trying to get an auto mobile key fob and an iPad in my wallet. Return from a family member and the Netherlands, who is struggling with the new baby. I had a lot of runaround and difficulty from FedEx and DHL who couldn't do a directly even though FedEx was at least pleasant about it. DHL told me to fly to the Netherlands and get the items myself. Went to ship a package via DHL during business hours. My package has a large value. I knocked, no answer. Rang the Ring doorbell and a message said to leave package outside. Yeah, no thank you. I can not even give one star to this fraud and unreliable company that takes advantages of the political situation of iran and sanction, and overcharge customers because Iranians are stuck in politics. They are uneducated and they have no idea what the customer service and business and trust mean. They charged me $551.00 + 750 million toman just for sending a laptop to iran from LA and finally with no protection, they delivered a broken laptop with delay. I wish there was an option for 0 star here, that would have done more justice. Facts: - Due to their monopoly power (for IRAN shippings) their charges are extremely high. ($ 550 for a 3lbs package using their fast shipping service, which anyways did not get delivered at the time it was supposed to!) - DO NOT expect professional handling of your shipment information from them...They have not put the complete contact information of the destination which was given to them! (Which caused my package not to be delivered when my parents needed it) - They would NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES. And will politely cycle you through their 3 branches (2 LA and 1 Tehran). - I personally could not track my package using their so-called tracking number! Shows "no results found"...apparently they are the only ones that can see what actually has happened to your package! And...... ABOVE ALL: THEY CAN LIE TO YOU QUITE EASILY AND BLUNTLY! - I have heard 3 DIFFERENT STORIES from their 3 branches about WHEN my package got to Tehran , WHAT HAPPENED to it and WHAT WENT WRONG! .... Mind you, my package was being sent to a HOSPITAL, containing medical equipment for my HOSPITALIZED FATHER for which I paid a ridiculous amount of $ to make sure it reaches when needed! I was in rush and they just ripped me off with twice as the normal price, however even their normal price is way more expensive than the other places, The guy who was working there he added another 30$ just because I was going to send my box to a different city and he even didnt mention about being more expensive ! After 4 hours I asked for cancelation their manager told me its already shipped !!!! And when I was checking my tracking number even at night still nothing was there, he also told me cancelation fee gonna be more than the shipping fee itself !!!! I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for Iranian-owned companies, but I would not feel comfortable if I didn't let people know about my experience with Tony, especially if you're sending serious resources like medications to family, etc. I had spoken to Tony several times on the phone about my package & specified dimension, destination (originally Tehran and I later specified it would actually be in Mazandaran), duration (21 days since it was the cheapest) and all other relevant details and was given a quote, so I booked an appointment. Upon getting there, Tony immediately asked if I want to pay the customs fee. I said he never mentioned that over the phone, and he said it's okay your friend can pay for it in Iran. Of course I said no and that I'd pay. Then he said the destination city is considered "remote" and therefore can only be sent in 14 days or 7 days. I asked why several times & Tony's explanations didn't really make sense, which led me to believe I was potentially being scammed. I asked if I could have an appointment a different day so I have time to assess if I can even pay this additional fee (a difference of $80) and Tony became visibly annoyed and ready to end our appointment, saying "you're undecided and I can't deal with it, sorry." At that point I budged and paid since I wanted to get this over with (the original $250 I was told ended up being $330). I was willing to forget about this, but I ended up hearing from my friend in Iran that the package arrived (in less than 7 days, I guess I didn't actually pay the 14-day fee Tony claimed he was charging me for) and they're demanding my friend in Iran to pay the customs fee, even after showing my receipt that I paid for it. After I rightfully got in contact with Globex and raised hell, they refunded my friend. But the fact that I needed to send my friend my receipt so he can show them I paid the customs fee, when this was a gift, really irked me after an already unpleasant experience with Globex. My friend ultimately needed to be inconvenienced and go someplace to pick up his *gift*, when it should've been brought to his home. The extra star is because the package thankfully arrived safely. I would avoid this company, especially if you need to ship necessary supplies. I hate to say it but they will take advantage of you. It was a very ugly experience & the Iranian community deserves better :( read more

I needed to ship a package to a friend in Cambodia, and I knew I had to use a DHL shipping service for his specific location. I tried figuring how to do the international airbill myself online, and I failed miserably, so I found Globex in my neighborhood to help. The place is a bit difficult to find - it's on the second floor ABOVE Petit Soleil - and you enter on Wilkins Ave, not Westwood. But beyond the confusing locale, the service couldn't have been better. The man set me up, handled all the shipping info, and all I had to do was pay for the services. I got a tracking number, and within six days, my friend received his box in Cambodia, undamaged in perfect condition. Very pleasant and professional service, but way off on delivery time. I sent one small envelop on Friday August 2 and was told it will be delivered on Monday August 4 or Tuesday August 5. Today is Saturday August 10 and package got to Tehran August 8th but they are holing delivery because August 11th is a holiday. At this point I will just be happy if it gets delivered and will reuse the service as long as I am not in a rush since delivery promises are not guaranteed. read more

I needed to ship a 7 lb package to Ukraine, DHL accoring to their website estimated $60. I looked up the USPS and their service to ship was $80. So I called globex confirmed they had DHL to ship. I gave them the specifications for my package they quoted me $300! I will never be using this rip off of a business to ship anything ever! I had shipped with them in the past. However this time when I wanted to ship 2 I phones to Iran I was instructed to ship it in 2 different shipments to the same address. I was charged 2 separate shipping charges. Which I paid for. I was told due to the customs in Iran it needs to be done this way. I found out after I shipped with Globe X that this was not true and that it was an attempt to collect more money on the shipping fees from me. I did not mention anything to them. I received a Survey from Globe X and I filled it out honestly expressing my concerns. It did not take more than 2 hours that I started to be harassed by the team of Globe X, of why I expressed my opinions in the way I did. I mentioned to them via email that if you don't like to hear any negative comments about your company then its better that you don't send out surveys. Constructive criticism never hurt anyone, but I guess it hurt their feelings. I kept getting harassing emails from them non stop all night long. Definitely not professional. I had to expeditiously send documents to Iran, and am glad that Globex is there to do so. Unfortunately, they are not open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, so I had to wait three days before I was able to talk to someone at Globex. But, once I reached a Globex rep, he was very professional and provided step-by-step information on the process. I received updates on the status of my package and my documents arrived Tehran in less than 7 days. So, they provide professional customer service and are efficient, but there is a price to pay, so I deduct a star because of the high shipping rates! read more
