The service was great, our server Vincenzo was attentive and made sure everything was taken care of without us having to ask. Wanted to try Prospers Gloria's, and I was a bit disappointed. My husband's chicken and steak fajitas were top tier. I ordered the blacken red snapper and it was super bland. No amount of salsa helped it. The red pepper sauce should've been flavorful and spicy, but tasted watery and thrown together. Now, or server was really nice and attentive and this locations vibe was honestly better than the Allen location. I'll go back but will order something else. read more

The drink menu has changed. Gone are the creative margaritas that used to be a delight--now it feels more basic and fruit-forward. I used to love this place. The Ceviche Tostada Salad has always been my go-to, along with the Presidente Margarita. Unfortunately, the bar now stocks fewer liqueurs, so the options feel limited. Happy Hour is still a good deal, and brunch offers half-price bottles of sparkling wine--a nice perk. But they no longer honor the half-price wine during the week, which was always a favorite (sorry!). Still a nice spot, but I can't help but miss the old menu. Take me back! read more

Came here on a Sunday when I was expecting it to be crowded. It surely was and so I sat at the bar. I ordered my food and a drink. Another couple sat at a table near me, were waited on, got their food and left before I made a fuss about my food. I ordered Quesadillas with cheese and spinach. I finally asked if I could just pay for the drink I had and never mind about the food. They said they wanted to bag up the food to go and wouldn't charge me. We decided to try this place hoping it would be a quick dinner while our three month took a catnap in his car seat. Inside is really loud so we moved to the patio and they were really accommodating! Our waiter made sure our orders were moved to the correct table since we moved after placing our order and I appreciated how they made us feel at ease. I was not a fan of their salsa, but the black bean dip was really good flavor). Poblano pepper chicken was delicious! And so filling! The chicken enchilada that came with it was heavy on the sour cream sauce but it was good. Kendry is the man! As for him as your waiter, really friendly and know s the menu well. Food was amazing I had the shrimp Tacos and my wife had the beef chile relleno. Both were delicious but it's funny the thing we both thought was the best was the plain cheese enchilada that comes with the chile relleno and that thing was bomb.will definitely be back to this location and hope we get Kendry as our waiter. This was my first dine-in experience at Gloria's Latin Cuisine. My family was hungry and we were nearby. We were greet right away and promptly seated. The atmosphere was iswarm and inviting. The service was excellent. The fresh tortilla chips with bean dip and salsa were AWESOME! The chips and dips were deliciously fresh and appetizing. It's hard to remember, oh yeah I ordered a main course! I ordered the Steak Chimichanga, which comes with rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and chile con queso. Here's the part where it gets tricky . I was eating this warmly packed roll of goodness stuffed with chicken, and then I remembered, uh-oh! I didn't order chicken, I ordered steak. I shrugged my shoulders and continued to feast on this delicious dish. It was an amazing mistake and I didn't care. It was incredibly delicious. Everyone apologized, and offered to fix it, but it was too late. I was halfway through my Chicken Chimichanga, and I couldn't bring myself to put my fork down. I'm so happy! A delicious mistake turned into the best meal of the day, at a great place for friends and families. read more

Our waitress was awesome. Even though it was busy she did what she could to make sure we were good. However the food came out cold. We asked her fix this for us. She brought over the mgr and he took our food and reheated it. Mind you this was fajitas so the onions came back burnt. Not the way I wanted to spend my money on a Friday evening with my wife and kids. I was seriously bummed out. I would have probably respected a discount on our bill or even a gift card to come back but that never happened. I will encourage my wife and children to avoid this place from now on. Wow! Step out of the Mexican Food Box and give this a try! Yum!! They bring drinks, chips, salsa, and a black bean dip to every table. I tried Nancy's favorite, and it came with a tamale and a cheese pupusas. The black beans and rice were great too. Mom tried the beef chili relleno. She said it was fantastic. We enjoyed the bar this evening, Horhea the bartender took great care of us as well all the others working behind the bar! Loved my Organic Tequila Margarita it was so delicious! We enjoyed the Grilled Shrimp so delicious! What we notice as we frequent your restaurant is that you need to accept reservations. We arrived at 4.40 pm ( a Saturday afternoon) By 5 pm it was mobbed with families awaiting tables with children, it takes away from your beautiful ambiance of the restaurant! Had people been able to make a reservation you wouldn't have people standing all over the bar area while people are trying to enjoy a meal at the tables! Poor service at the bar. Three bartenders and no one to take your order. We waited 15 minute before we raised our hand for them to take our order. But it does not stop there.. we waited another 30 minutes to get our order and it was wrong. I ordered chicken enchiladas and got cheese enchiladas. No sorry. Waited another 10 minutes. They had to call the manager to straighten out our bill. Manager did not even make eye contact with us. Another missed opportunity to say sorry. This area has many restaurants, so I definitely recommend coming over here. Staff - 5/5 - Friendly and courteous. Made sure we were full, with our glasses filled. Food - What we ordered: Lechon Asado - 4/5 - Very tender and came with rice, plantains and yuca. Carne Asada - 4/5 - Classic and definitely did not disappoint. Def recommend. Unfortunately, 40 minute wait on food and 28 minute wait on the rectification. I just got yelp and wanted to make my first review to Gloria's, yesterday my family and I went to dinner and we had the most amazing experience, despite the fact that it was a little busy, our server Raquel was incredible, from the moment she approached us we thought she was wonderful, caring and very attentive to our needs, she asked us if we had been there before, we said never, first time and she explained Gloria's background, and proceeded to offer us very delicious drinks and appetizers, she was simply amazing, not once we had to ask her for anything she was on top of it even tho she had other tables, She gave us amazing customer service and we just loved her persona. Came here for a casual night with my house boss. It was a nice evening, good atmosphere and service. The food was a mixed bag. The snapper was ok but the sauce that came with it was divine. I wish there was more. The chicken mexicana was really good. Prices were generally reasonable. I'd rate it 3.5 on the food and 4 overall for a nice evening out. Unfortunately we must've caught them at a busy time, 1:30pm Saturday. I finished two rounds of tortilla chips and the salsa/bean dip (tasty) before the food arrived. 3 tables around us were seated after and fed before us. We ordered the brunch menu sopes, and regular menu chile relleno. Personally, the food was good/okay, but perhaps it could've been better if I weren't filled with 2 bowls of tortilla chips. The manager checked up on us multiple times and gave us water refills. Our server (I assume) came by and took our orders, then we only saw him once more when he delivered the food, and then again when he gave us the check. Must've been a really busy day! I finally got to try the new Gloria's and Prosper tonight! I have been eagerly awaiting them opening. My friend and I went around 6:45 on a Thursday, we were quoted 25 minutes and ended up probably waiting around 45. I was really disappointed that this location is so bland. The Gloria's off of 380 and McKinney is also pretty bland but had more flavor than this location for sure. As a designer, it always hurts my heart when restaurants go so safe and neutral. Truly not visually appealing at all. There are so many things that they could have done in the bar area and throughout the restaurant to make it more interesting, they definitely failed the mark on design, sad to say. Even the few art pieces were boring. The lighting was very low, I appreciate the ambience but I can imagine that that is difficult for older clientele. We ordered a margarita, my friend asked for no salt and was given salt anyway. The drinks are very strong, you can definitely taste the tequila in them. I'm not a huge Margarita fan, but considering they did not have green beer for St Patrick's Day, I decided to give a margarita a go. They did a flavored rim on mine, that had a nice flavor. The bartenders were very friendly. It took a while for the server to stop by once we finally made it to our table, but he was friendly and had decent follow-up. They served the black bean dip and salsa with chips, great flavor. The restrooms were nicely done, I liked the sconces and doors, had a nice tailored touch. The pricing was reasonable. We ordered tamales for an appetizer. They were definitely unique. It was potato and chicken and was wrapped in a banana leaf. My friend really enjoyed them but I thought they were a bit mushy, I'm used to the masa being firmer. My friend ordered the flautas and I ordered the combination plate. We both really enjoyed our meals. The patio had a pop of color with the neon light, which I appreciated. They also had varying heights of light drums for some visual interest. In my mind I was critiquing and redoing the restaurant, which is never a good thing. One should be interested and the eyes should be visually stimulated. I'm a fan of Gloria's, though, and I will be back. But, please, for the next restaurant, MORE color!! read more

I've never been a fan of Gloria's besides their drinks, but my friend wanted to give it a try so we did. The complimentary chips, salsa, and black bean dip are great. It's usually their food that doesn't ever stand out. I tried the Salmon Chimichurri Salad and it was lackluster. The Salmon was cooked fine with minimal seasoning but the salad dressing was a pool of oil, not real Chimichurri. I basically ate all the salmon and left the crap salad. read more
