My school in 8th grade went there. In TMES, we had a reservation. AC wasn't working. Bed okay, the food was so old it gave almost half the class food poisoning, some parts of the food were expired and undercooked. read more

We took our students ministry to Glorieta a couple of weekends ago, and the place was absolutely top notch. Great hosting experience, the food was fantastic, and we felt incredibly well cared for by the staff. There were enough activities for everybody to experience what they wanted! From zip lines to rappelling to creative things like drift trikes, we had a blast. read more

Glorieta Adventure Camps is amazing! It was my first time ever going to a Summer Camp with my church youth group in 2023 and I loved it! A few things though... the bathrooms need a bit of maintenance. The curtains in the shared bathrooms do not provide enough privacy. And the water was pretty cold, it was hard to take showers most of the time I was there. There are also a lot of bugs dead and alive in the bathrooms as well. I don't expect it to be a luxurious bathroom but it would be great if these things could be improved. I would also recommend putting screens on the windows in the girls high school dorms as lots of big bugs were getting in the room when we opened the window when it was hot. My brothers, who was in the middle school and high school boys dorms, said there are no locks on the doors. I also noticed that there were no locks in the middle school girls dorms as well. Which is a little concerning as there were locks on the high school girls dorms. After all, my experience at Glorieta Adventure Camp was one I'll never forget! Thank you for making it beautiful. My church experience was fun and the people and staff were extremely nice but the accommodations were like roughing it camping. We stayed in a building called chaparral. First of all let me start by saying my guest was 74 and it was a Holy Spirit Retreat and thank God I didn't have to stay more than 24 hours; if the retreat had been two days I would have gone home early. I am not spoiled or fancy, I have no issue staying in a Super 8 if it's clean and has what I need. That being said; there was No mini fridge, and no coffee pot in your room. I guess the plan is to force you to use their coffee shop. But...I take medicine that requires hot water there wasn't ANY hot water either and I wasted water letting it run for 30 minutes. (My friend 74 was cold after walking to fire pits and had no hot water to warm her bones.) I asked if the fire pits were far and was told no right up the way; while I am walking a 74 yr old; I had to leave her sitting and go get my car to drive her. Let's discuss that "coffee shop"...it is the worst hot chocolate (brown water that smells like coco) and coffee ever!!! It was so sad! Also no number or any contact info was given to us for emergency contacts in case this stuff happened so we were just stuck all night in a room with no hot water. Let discuss the water...if you go bring your own water, it comes out of the faucet brown. Even the toilet water is brown. OH and bring ice because their ice machines don't work or just don't have ice. The bed mattresses were clearly over 8 years old and the pillows were small overused and wrapped in plastic under the pillow case. So honestly if you are going to go I suggest you pack like your going to be glamping. Take everything you might need and don't assume your accommodations will have ANYTHING YOU NEED. It won't. I assure you. You eat in a huge dining hall where you share food family style and the food to me was subpar and I ate snacks I brought from home mostly. God is good I learned a lot but also had to be in a huge place of humility and gratitude to make it just 24 hours. Not recommended for even the spry elderly without planning to drive them around. The actual outdoor camp grounds look and are beautiful and summer time looks fun here as well (for kids). I do not recommend this place for their accommodations but I did have a beautiful experience with the Lord besides the living in survival mode with an elderly woman. I hope they will realize and update and upgrade because for $180 a night I didn't feel they held up their end of the deal at all. They fall way short of "motel" standards and I wouldn't even call their buildings "hotels" at all so don't expect it going here. It's old, out dated, and needs a ton of help to even hang with a super 8 motel. This could have been a much greater experience if I had not felt like I was needing to survive the experience. Oh and the rooms don't have TV's either but I read so I didn't care about that. There actually was decent internet. Again I wouldn't recommend this place purely on the rooms, food, and coffee. read more

Glorieta was amazing! we went with our church in June from the 2-6 for the "CY MIX 2024!" She made lifelong bonds and made great memories! They're is a few things that I would change though. My daughter and her friends stayed in the Pinon dorms, and there were quite a lot of issues. The first one being it was a bit dirty. The showers were rusty and muddy, so I recommend wearing shower shoes, and there were bugs on the ceilings in the bathrooms. The next thing is that there was no bathrooms in the dorms. I would have at least expected a mirror but half of the rooms didn't have a mirror or a restroom. They're was a bathroom a little ways down the hall, but I just think it was a little unreasonable that all the girls and leaders in that dorm had to share the same bathroom and showers. The last thing is there was a bump in the concrete where we walked into our dorms, and many people tripped over it! :( But over all, it was a great experience and I definitely will be coming back in 2025! read more

The grounds in this place are beautiful!!! Tucked in the mountains at elevation makes it a little cooler than a lot of places during the summer. Surrounded by the lush green trees gives you access to some amazing hiking, biking and incredible views. The youth and adults that come in always seem to have a great time, their faces smiling with all of the different activities and events the camp puts on. Definitely, worth checking in and visiting. read more

The camp is good: numerous activities, caring staff, and diverse food. Still, my primary destination was the lake, and here there is a problem. You cannot swim in the lake without guards on duty and guards are only available about two hours during the day. Each day a different time: from 11 till 12:30 or from 1 till 3 or from 3 till 6. This kinda defeated the whole purpose of this trip to me. I suggest that they either hire more guards to make them available throughtout the day or simply allow people to swim wihout them. Also, you cannot swim without a vest on. This sucks, too. read more

Glorieta Family Camp is the best family camp we have ever done! They had so many different activities for everyone of all ages to enjoy. We didn't even have time to do everything that was offered. Our family has six kids and they were able to accommodate everyone's different needs. We also have a gluten allergy in the family and they happily made sure there was food for everyone to enjoy. We can't wait to go back! read more
