Second time here. They have a wait most times but are very willing to work you in. I came today around 1:40 and told them I need to leave by 2:30. I waited about 15 min and was still out by 2:20. I'm very picky with my basic set I always get. Never tips on nails. Always a nexgen/dip color. Both times I've been here I've been very happy..I wish cuticle care was included in the price as the damage is caused by the filling but no nail salon includes that. Technician forgot top coat on the left foot and I didn't even notice under the lights there/ they were closing and didn't ask if I everything looked good just walked off. Kindof rude staff, I asked if they could stop massaging and using their cream because it was burning my skin (never had that happen before so no known allergy) but they ignored me. The color isn't even across the nail at all on the left foot either you could see the nail underneath the color. Disappointing overall. Came here with my now Husband for pre-wedding manicure and pedicures. People were nice and place was roomy. The bill came out to about $300 for a builder gel refill and 2 pedicures, which I justified for the occasion and hoping that the work would be quality. Very quickly I noticed what looked like a crack on 2 of my nails and within a few days I lost a chunk of the builder gel from my pointer finger. The gel polish from my pedicure also was damaged on 2 toes within 3 days. Thankful I got to my wedding before it happed but still upset that a $120 manicure and a $90 pedicure only lasted about 3-5 days. I have been getting builder gel/ gel pedicures for about a year and have never had this happen, so overall pretty disappointing. I have lost count of how many times I've been to this salon but I haven't been to a different one since I've discovered it, thanks Yelp! It's a really cute and cozy salon with friendly staff who offer you two free drinks (alcoholic or non) during your service! My usual is a Mojitos pedicure with gel Polish and I request Angel as my pedicurist since she is always thorough with my cleanings and does a great job with my French tip which is my usual go to! (You can also choose your scent for the pedi, I've tried Milk and Honey, Lavender and White Tea, they're all amazing!) My usual nail service is a dip manicure which doesn't include water and a cleaning, just the dip powder service and you can get a neutral color powder to get designs on top or a colored powder and they will add a top coat. I've had this service by Phoenix & Tony, the time Tony did my nails Kim did my French tip design. For the most part everyone is patient and kind and I enjoy coming to get pampered. Was looking to try a new nail salon which gives me anxiety because I'm so picky with my nails. In doing this I would drive around uptown and when I saw a nail spot I would look on Yelp and see their reviews. I wouldn't have thought this place was a nail salon but I'm glad I turn on this street and found this gem. Of course I didn't have an apportionment but they were able to get me in as soon as they opened. I forgot the nail techs name but she did an amazing job. I like this salon, but for full disclosure, it isn't a typical manicure experience. Great pedicures, complimentary drinks, the staff are super friendly - all good things! But whenever I get a dip manicure, it isn't really a "manicure." It's more of a dip removal (with high concentrate acetone, which dries out your hands and fingernails), and then a dip replacement. No soaking in warm water, no cuticle clean up, no lotion afterwards unless you ask for it yourself. This time I asked for my cuticles to be cleaned up, nothing wild, but was charged an additional $5 for it - on top of the $40 I was already paying for my dip color - something I kinda feel should be included with a manicure. They also get kinda overbooked. My manicurist got up probably six times during my manicure to help other customers. But they're easy to book with and you're usually in and out within an hour (on a Sunday afternoon). Not too bad and the dip lasts forever! read more

I just went and had my nails and toes done for a work trip and although I had no appointment I was immediately greeted and helped! Amy did my nails and added tips but kept the classic short style. she gave me good advice as to what would work best for me (I asked questions). She also hand painted my tips. This beautiful, chic modern nail salon is located in the middle of uptown Dallas, across from Whole Foods. The nail boutique has free parking behind the building but you can also get a parking pass for nearby on the street or free street parking. I usually do dip powder and needed a refill. I decided to do organic for mani and pedi with coffin shape which is an up charge. I did a "162" color. I also did gel pedi add on and eye brows. The color is more nude. I like it but will go a bit lighter because of my darker skin tone. I usually have issues with my nail shape but not here. So nice. I did a couple designs and I'm in love. Billy is an amazing artist! They are a new salon so I would recommend getting acquainted now. And enjoying the salon before it gets popular. Because it WILL get popular. Nina, the manager is absolutely wonderful, professional, accommodating and friendly. As new salons are, it's a bit slow but still has a very welcoming and inviting vibe. I love the style of the salon and you can tell everything has been very creatively thought out. I had a very yummy margarita. They have a really cute drink menu. The pricing matches it's Uptown location. As a city girl from Honolulu and recently moved from downtown Austin, I'm used to it and find it more than reasonable especially their organic pricing. I think that's a steal. Customer service is important for me with nail salons as I'm very particular and not afraid to speak up if it doesn't quite meet perfection. I appreciate their patience and intent on making my experience comfortable and ensuring my nails turned out exactly as I wanted. It's refreshing actually. I've never been so excited for a nail salon. This is the cutest nail studio! As soon as I walked in she asked if I wanted anything to drink and I noticed they have a full bar of drinks to choose from. The staff and nail techs are so sweet and made me a special Vietnamese coffee. They did a great job on my nails and I really liked the pedicure menu options. I have one broken nail and three cracked nails also my paint has chipped off. Strap in folks. I have been going to this nail salon for months. Every nail tech was good except for one guy. A few months ago, he did my nails and I was sore for days from him twisting my hands and digging his own nails into my fingers to the point where I began to request to not have a man do my nails after that, as I didn't know his name. Today, I wasn't able to make an appointment ahead of time. I went to the salon, and was assigned a nail tech for my toenail polish change and Ethan for my dip manicure. I didn't recognize him. Today was worse by leaps and bounds. 30 seconds in: he was using the drill to take my previous dip powder off instead of soaking them even for a second. It began to burn so bad that I snatched my hand away and let out a yelp despite the obvious embarrassment in a public place. I asked him to be more gentle and just soak my nails instead. He rolled his eyes and brought me a bowl. Once my nails soaked off, he went back in with the drill. The first hand was fine, but on my left hand he put it at a weird angle and went too deep into my nail bed causing me to yelp in pain again, and I asked him again to PLEASE be more gentle. I should have gotten up and left at this point, but you shouldn't have to prepare to have a fight or flight experience during your "relaxing" nail appointment. I froze. Then he began twisting my fingers. I immediately knew that this was the man from before. We were already onto the dip powder so I didn't want to get up and leave as I had already spent almost an hour there during a busy day. I winced in pain as he pinched my finger with HIS OWN NAILS. (This can't be sanitary) Then the drill comes out again. I'm sweating and near tears. He got half way through and then cut my cuticle on my left ring finger. These were my engagement nails. The whole reason I was there was to have my nails ready for proposal pictures and he cut my ring finger... I said once again that he hurt me and that I was upset. I told him that I wasn't happy with this service and that I didn't want to pay for this. He gaslight me and told me it was fine and I could wash it off. Spoiler alert: I have a scabbed finger. I went to pay, sweating, near tears and with all of my fingers in pain. The woman told me the price and I just sighed and walked out. I thought "at least my nails look nice even if it hurt". WRONG. Once I got in the sunlight I was able to see that my nails were horrible. They had "marbling" and were misshaped. I went back in and asked for my money back. I was crying at this point and they refused to give me my money back to have them fixed elsewhere. She offered to fix them. I declined and asked for my money back multiple times. I finally realized that it would never happen and that I had to have them fixed there if I wanted them to be nice for my photos. I let her fix the two nails with marbling. They gave me a gift card. I didn't look at it until I got home. It was $20 for a $60 service... I told her that I didn't want a gift card because I wouldn't be back. When my boyfriend came home, my nails were throbbing. He saw the cut finger, and the redness on both of my hands. I told him what happened. As I was too upset to discuss with them any further, he went to this location to discuss what happened, and ended up asking for a refund. They still said no. He tried to empathize as we are both in the customer service industry, but they wouldn't even give a partial refund. He offered numerous times to give the gift card back during their conversation. Then when he said he was going to dispute the charge and went to leave she grabbed his arm and took the gift card from him. His valid response was "don't touch me". We have already contacted the bank and will be getting the full amount back. We did everything we could to give them the opportunity to make this right. I am left with nails that are throbbing so bad I can't sleep. That's why I'm here awake... writing this review... I can't wait for them to try to gaslight me AGAIN in their response to this, as I have read all of their other responses to low reviews where they try to get out of their responsibility. The BARE MINIMUM is to provide a safe and clean environment. What a disappointment. read more

We are from out of town and needed to get my daughters nails done quickly and found this super cute spot. It is very clean and staff was very friendly however it seemed as though they tried to get every dime out of you. My pedicure was good, not the best but good. I got regular paint not gel and let them dry for over an hour before even sitting down on my bed or do anything that would jeopardize the paint because I know it takes a long time for them to dry. I think I sat with my legs crossed for maybe a few minutes and when I uncrossed them the paint chipped. I paid $55 for my pedicure so I was hoping it would last longer. My daughter got a full set and her full set was first charged as $90!!!!! I just about had a panic attack! She itemized it and the lady said "$65 for full set, $5 for shaping (I'm thinking isn't that included in the full set price!!!) $20 for almond shape" that's when I stopped her and said "then what is the $5 for" and mind you my daughter didn't even get almond shape. She said no because she got black french tip and wants the bottom of the french tip shape to be almond. WHAT! LOL plus I know my 16 year old daughter would not have approved a $20 up charge without asking me. So she showed me and I asked my daughter if she said it was ok and my daughter had no idea what they were talking about. My daughter said "I just asked for regular french tip but with black paint ‍. So instead the lady said "ok fine then I'll charge you just for the french tip" which was $10. So all in all her full set was $80! I know we have inflation but her nails were basic! read more

The pedicure I received was absolutely wonderful and would love to give that 5 stars! I got a gel and the service was wonderful! However, when I got a lip wax it was a very different story. I get lip waxed every 6 weeks or so. I do have sensitive skin, however I have never had a lip wax go wrong quite like this. The wax was pressed into my skin too hard and for too long.
