His espresso blends are composed with a level of precision that feels almost synesthetic. Ask him what he is aiming for and he will describe the roast in shapes: how wide the base should be, whether it tapers or flares, how many sides the finished polygon has. I have stood there listening, fascinated, with no real idea what he is talking about, then tasted the cup and understood anyway. Important to know: this is not a coffee shop. There is no barista counter. It is a modest storefront and warehouse, and if you stop by you will likely see Tim at the roaster, stoking the fire. The aroma is arresting from the street. That wood fire imparts a signature note that sets his coffee apart. It does not turn smoky in the jerky sense. It reads as a gentle campfire thread running through the cup, adding warmth and dimension without heaviness. Since moving away from Reno I miss these beans enough that I cave and pay the shipping. Took mom (87 years young).... They treated her like a queen. Easy to access with her walker and handicapped parking spots. Had a latte and it was the perfect temperature. Could have had a bit more flavoring but the coffee flavor was rich. Milk alternatives are available. Smaller sized bags of beans are available for testing at home. We bought 3 and the flavor notes were spot on for the Noir and Italian Roast. Clean and refresh g to sit at a table and watch the interaction of other guests. Most were regulars and all were treated as if they were important! Have enjoyed the beans at home so back we will go to get more!

I got a warm chai with regular milk. Temp was good but it did lack flavor. I could barely taste anything like the Chai or cinnamon. My fiancee got their seasonal drink. It was a spin on Dubai chocolate but made with white chocolate. My fiancee LOVED it! I tried it too and it was pretty good. Im just happy she liked it. Cute place with good vibes and friendly staff. After talking about a special drink, and with her recommendation I chose an iced blueberry mocha. Great drink, to complement I also chose raspberry beignets. Sat outside relaxing and enjoying the break. If you're a walker, there's plenty of seating in and outside, drivers there are a few spots on either side, and on the road around the corner. It took me 2-3 laps around the block to realize this place was tucked in an alleyway. It's a true hidden gem. I almost gave up when I couldn't find it and the map directions didn't make much sense. This location is a small shop with only a little bit of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. This is primarily the roasters location, so it's a great place to enjoy the freshest of coffee but also a great place to purchase beans. They had a very large selection of beans for purchase. They still offer a decent menu and a few snacks, though much smaller than the other location. My wife enjoyed a matcha and I enjoyed one of the exclusive roastery blends on drip. Both drinks were very good. The quality of the drip coffee was superior. I want to visit again and try a coffee flight. That's something I've always wanted to do. They have always made my tongue very satisfied. My friend enjoys the gas station burritos you sell, and your toilet seats are always comfy, but that is no longer here nor there. I ordered a latte. I sat down to reaAll of a sudden, after a few sucks, I felt a tingle in my throat. Much to my horror, I pulled a long black hair out of my mouth. I prefer cream in my latte and I don't recall asking for a shot of protein. Now, normally I would chalk this up to a freak occurrence. What is truly disappointing is the gal with the multicolor wig did not offer to make it right. I will not return and shall enjoy another roasting store while I read my comic strips.

For example, we ordered their new cowboy boot coffee: a 30oz coffee. I wrongly assumed that this was another flight of 3x 10z coffee boots due to the picture on the screen, and also thought it was a set flight as there was no indication to choose your flavor. Just a description box to fill out but without any directions. So we ended up receiving an empty cowboy boot bottle... for $20... thankfully we were able to give them our coffee order and they filled it up without trouble. I would highly recommend changing the screen so the instructions are way clearer. We ordered a lot of food: two cinnamon rolls, waffle sandwich, bridgerton flight, and a toast flight which was delicious: avocado and egg toast, hummus toast, beet toast, avocado and tomato toast. Everything tasted good except the ube cinnamon roll was too sweet. It's a nice space inside. There are a decent amount of tables but I wish there were more tables outside. They also offer a few different brewed coffees to try for free, which is a really nice touch. The staff is nice, but it does take a while to get your items, especially the flights. First time I was there I waited 30 minutes for one flight, but the place was packed. This time was not busy and it still took at least 15 minutes for one Bridgerton flight. Not the best place to go to if you're in a rush, but a great place if you're looking to spend some time sitting there.

The cashier informed me that the matcha would cost extra because they were out of the regular matcha, so I would need to upgrade to the premium matcha if I wanted to order matcha. It ended up being a $10 drink. If you're out of something as a business, but you have a more expensive substitute, why should I suffer and pay more as the customer? Shouldn't you provide the higher cost substitute for free since you ran out of the regular product? I felt that was wrong. I was basically being told that I could have matcha only if I was willing to pay for an upgrade I didn't ask for. We also ordered a maple pecan loaf. After ordering, we found a seat at a fairly dirty (but cleaner than the others) table. The drinks came. The matcha is the only reason I am not giving 1 or 2 stars here. It was great. The americano was ok, nothing special. Of course, they forgot the maple loaf and tried to play it off after I got up and reminded them about 10 minutes later. Zero accountability, and then when my "warmed up" loaf finally arrived, it was still mostly cold. Between the many great reviews for this place and the good-looking food menu, I really want to return to give them another chance. However, with so many other great coffee shops and my fairly poor experience, I think I'll have to give my business elsewhere. Bummer!

There's some outdoor, dog-friendly seating next to a field for dogs to run around on. Outside is a play area for kids, provided by the RED district and a movie theater neighboring the Hub. They roast their beans and over the years have really improved their roasting. I am a sucker for their chai and get it pretty often. They're offering a seasonal, organic blackberry chai and I just had to get it. It is pretty similar to their lavender chai but with just a bit more of a jammy flavoring to it. It is a bit pricey but isn't everything now-a-days? They have pastries, grab n go snacks, juices, kombucha and beer from 10Torr. Theres parking lots here and right in front is 1 hour parking. It's a two story space so very roomy and you can event rent out the space. They have books and games for entertainment on the second floor also.

This location in the Reno Experience District is nice. Parking can be tough here. You may have to park a ways away near the movie theatre. The area is very nice. They are doing a great job filling out this space. There are lots of seating options inside and a large, reservable upstairs space. The employees were super nice here, and there were lots of them working, so drinks came out quickly. The iced americano was good. Nothing to complain about. The matcha was very mid. It lacked flavor and was basically a cup of milk. They definitely need to up their matcha game. Overall, great place to grab coffee before or after a movie, or if you happen to live in RED. In almost every other instance, I would probably visit a different Hub location or another coffee shop.
