Where to start. The hostess was wonderful. Then we waited WAY to long for a server to even greet us. When she finally came by we placed our entire order. Not a hard one 2 kids tacos 1 adult taco 1 adult salad and wings. The wings we eh at best. Not sure why glory sauce is a thing... but that's just me. Then it took about another 30 mins to get our food. And everything seemed to have sat way too long under the warmer. All the chicken, including in my wives WAY over dressed salad was dry as dirt. The server, only came by twice. Once to take our order and once to deliver our food. She didn't even check on us to see how our food was. This was an over all terrible experience. Amazing customer service! A waitress named Diamond took care of me at lunch today and she was OUTSTANDING, helped me with all my wants and needs! I love coming here for their spicy wings. Fried to perfection and served with slices of jalapeños and a side of ranch. Great seasonal beers on tap and in bottle. Fun sporty atmosphere. GDG has a good mix of your standard "American" food. Wings/Ribs/Burgers and even Soups/Salads/Veggie Burgers for the Women folk. We have eaten at several locations and the food is consistent from different locations. Recent visit our server left, we did have to ask for assistance from another server who brought us yet a third server. She took care of us even though she was wasnt going to get the tip (we learned this after chatting with her) and she did a great job. We ended up putting a small tip on the bill for the original server who just took our order. I found our 3rd server after we paid the bill and tipped her with cash. Just because she did all the work. This place is best to go later after the main dinner rush. You can usually get seated right away. Food comes out quick and is cooked well. We have never had a problem with the food, and only have the above incident with the service. My only wish is they would bring back their Asian Wings - they were awesome. This place is roomy, well maintained, and family friendly even though they have an active bar. If you have children, order the a "Shark Attack". My kids love them. Also try to get seated where the kids can view one of the TVs with cartoon network playing. This helps keep them occupied until the food shows up. They use the audio system at each table and you can tune it to any of the many TVs that you wish. This place is also affordable, on average we spend around $7-$8 per person. read more

Went to Glory Days because it's what my daughter wanted for her birthday. We had 7 people, all family, and an infant. Were told that they could not seat us all together that they could only seat 6 and split us up. Nowhere in Virginia Department of Health guidelines does it say that. NOWHERE. I looked it up after we had left and ordered our food online. My older daughter called and the manager didn't seem to and just making excuses and didn't ouffer anything. Walking in I was greeted by a hostess who was chewing her gum with her mouth wide open I can give her a dental exam. We were seated by the bar section. Bottom line worst service ever. Waiters sitting by the bar, had to ask for our server to get drinks refilled, manager with the rest of the servers just standing and or sitting by the bar. Also, manager chewing gum and not going around to ask after customers got their meals for quality check. Not even the servers did that. Ordered hamburgers that took 25 minutes to come. Cheese is definitely low quality. Probably generic from Walmart. Our server kept touching his face while walking around the bar area. Saw other servers sitting down eating and then would get up and serve then go back to sit. This establishment needs a new manager. Horrible service and unprofessional. Will not eat there again and not recommend it either. Such a disappointment. read more

Why did I give this place a 1 star?? Well let me explain...NEVER go here in your life!!! This place has horrible service! Me, my husband, and my 4 kids went here yesterday and the wait was 5-10 minutes. Time went by so fast we never noticed and 45 minutes later they had texted and said our table was ready. I understand that they had a short staff but really, 45 Minutes!?!?! At this point I didn't even want to eat here. Overall the Culpeper Glory Days is pretty good. I've dined in 3 times and was satisfied with the food and service each time. Servers are very polite here and the food was great. The only negative experience I've had was when I ordered ahead to-go. The order was missing a few things and the food was already cold by the time I got it. Woo we mama! Glory Days is a wonderful place to go out on a weekend night with the family. I have gone to the place with my family and had a unique experience. I ordered the impossible burger and it was little since it wasn't meet but tasted it like it. My father had fish and that was also suberbly little and tasty. The waitress was very nice. My dad asked her embarrassing question about my little brother to her, kind of putting her on the spot(I am sorry waitress if your reading this). The service was litty, the food was great, but the reason why I'm not giving a 5-star review is since I think the food is a bit too expensive for my taste. i'm really annoyed that a lot of these reviews start off with "typical" . Cause it really isn't . Everyone who works there really gives their 110% towards making sure that the customer has an enjoyable and delicious trip! We normally sit at the bar , the bartenders are amazing , Food is always fast, hot and delish. If we do sit at a dining table we never have any issues. and i promise we go there about 4 times a month if not more. Not always to just eat, sometimes to just have a cocktail and talk with friends! After having the marketing director contact me reference my first review of only 2 stars and send me vouchers to try the restaurant again; hubby and I went tonight for dinner. Service was friendly and very prompt. The waitress herself offered to substitute something when both hubby and I mentioned we really weren't in the mood for one of the items in the entree. We didn't like the Chipotle sauce (Super sweet and not much heat at all.) and thought their grilled shrimp was very bland. But at least all of the food was cooked properly this time. Their wings were cooked just the way I like them (No breading!) and would have been perfection with different sauce and their Baby Back Ribs were very yummy. We both liked their crab dip appetizer, too! So - not GREAT food but not bad, either. Over all I'd give it 4.5 stars if that were an option. I'll go back again. read more

Went to glory days today for lunch. They were busy, but no problem. We had a group of 12 and not in a hurry. We waited for a while and 3 tables became available right behind us. We asked about those tables and they said they were working on tables for us. We waited patiently and asked again about the 3 tables that were available behind us with no response. We decided to give up. We walked out, went across the street to Chilis. Walked right in sat down and had and awesome meal. Thanks glory days. We had a great meal at Chilis... We visited Glory Days Grill in 22701 on July 4th around 2:00 p.m. We asked to be seated in the bar area where there were over 6 tables empty. We asked for a booth which was available but not cleaned. The hostess told us it would be a long wait. We gave her our name and stood for over 5 - to - 10 minutes waiting to be seated at empty tables in the bar area. Finally, she called our name. We asked for the booth and she said "no", the booth had to be cleaned and is not available. She stated they had been overwhelmed that day. If so, why were there empty tables? We were finally seated and the next couple that came in was seated immediately in a booth. We left before ordering. So here is my thing with chain restaurants: When you find something good, I want to be able to come back and know every time it's going to be there and it's going to taste that exact way. It's comfortable and reliable and sometimes that's what I'm in the mood for. Glory Days doesn't disappoint, the trick is finding the things that are worth it. Price wise I'd say their on par with Ruby Tuesdays, but less than Applebees/Chili's. But I can actually count on Glory Days to be consistent. They are consistent in flavor, price, and service. We love their Sante Fe egg rolls, the fish tacos, chicken caesar salad and my Hubby hasn't found a burger he doesn't like. read more

It's a pretty typical chain restaurant, in what I'd consider the mid-tier (a step above Applebee's.) Service was prompt and polite, I had the BLTT which was good, although there was a lot more shredded lettuce on it that I'd probably like. Taking more than an hour during lunch from seating to receiving the bill. This might be something to consider if you have a firm lunch hour. If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. I went here for lunch with my coworkers one day last week. This location had persistent flies flying around my table INSIDE the restaurant, which I should've taken as a sign that this location isn't a sanitary place, and the service was lackluster and below average at best. Went with family of 4 and was seated in bar section right next to bar entrance. It was a cold & very windy day. Every time the door opened, a gust of wind would blow over us. Also, many smokers were lighting up as they stepped out the door, so the wind blew all of that smoke right at us every time. They got our order wrong twice. We generally have the kids with us and they almost always manage to seat us so the kids can watch the tv with Boomerang showing. I love the friend fish and DH is a fan of beef on weck. We travel from Charlottesville as good service is rare in this supposedly "world class city". Food is good, not out of this world spectacular, but good and consistent. Seasonal specials are generally good. Oktoberfest specials - wunderbar! Service can be occasionally a bit slow, but never has been to the "call a manager" level. Door greeters and host/hostesses have always been pleasant and efficient. TV sound boxes can be annoying. They need to put volume limiters in them. On our "go to" list, definitely! read more
