I am on the fence. The place is extremely clean. Even smelled the cleaning agents. The atmosphere is luxurious and serene. The personnel are not extremely friendly, however, they are certainly not rude. The gel manicure was very neat and was completed quickly (by Liz). My favorite part was the pedicure which was very relaxing, after several lotions, oils and massages and polishing my feet were soft and pretty (by Gina). My only negative was at the end of the treatments I was informed of the cost. The total came to $100, after calling prior and being told it was $80 for both! And they do not accept checks!! I did give a 20% tip to both technicians due to the wonderful job they did. But to spend $120 was not what I was expecting. So ask what the cost will be before you have anything done, and don't ask over the phone. It will be a different answer. But I have learned my lesson, but the job was good enough to return again. read more

THE BEST PEDICURE & THE WORST GEL MANICURE I've EVER had! Leaving me with a love hate relationship . Got my nails done here about a week ago before my vacation after a referral from my waxer at European wax center across the street . In 3 days 2 of my nails were chipped and my white polish was turning yellow. A few days later one of the designs which they " super glued " to my nail came off. I went back once I was home about 5 days later from day I got nails done and they removed it and charged $5 . The lady who was doing my nails was rushing and I pointed that out to her she got defensive but then she got nice and slowed down . They are pretty nice and the atmosphere is also. A bit of a luxury feel && did I say the best pedicure I've ever had ? They massage your feet for like 10 minutes and use really nice oils that actually soften your skin. I stopped by today during my lunch hour for a regular mani/pedi. Here are my thoughts: PROS: The pedicure was THE most amazing pedicure I have gotten in a while. The massage was so soothing and relaxing, I could've taken a nap. Best part is that it is included in their "regular pedicure" package along with hot stones. This is reason I gave them 4 stars. They didn't rush it at all. I was beyond satisfied. CONS: The regular pedicure, due to included extras, was a little pricey compared to most places at $30. This is the cheapest option available, so make sure you're aware before sitting down. The regular manicure, which cost $12, was sub par. I honestly think they just cut, filed, and polished my nails. Not worth the price at all. My cuticles were barely touched. Speaking of the polish... there are bubbles in my nails because when they filed them pieces of my nails were sticking out and they didn't cut them. Lastly, I thought an hour would be enough time for this, but I was there for over an hour and a half (ended up taking a long lunch). OVERALL: I will go back for the pedicure, but will not waste my time with a manicure from them. read more

Gel manicure + regular pedi = $56 which I think is pretty fair. they do a great & thorough job. This is my second time to Bom nails and both time I left feeling very taken advantage of . The first time I went in I asked if they did acrylic fills . They said yes and sat me down with a gentleman who instantly started working . I didn't realize until I was directed to put my nails under a light that he was doing gel nails not acrylic . I told him that i asked for acrylic and he replied that this is better . I'm used to paying $20 for Fill my acrylics in the city . I assumed it would Be a little more in the suburbs . My total ended up being $40 twice as much . I am new to the area and had a very bad experience across the street with bad quality nails so I decided that I would give Bom nails a try again . It may have cost twice as much but it lasted nicely and he made them look beautiful . Today I went in for the second time and again , the woman who did my nails made them look beautiful . But she charged me $70.00 this time ! Is this normal ? $70 for a gel fill ? And why was it $40 last time ? I don't like to make a big deal so I payed and I left but I felt very taken advantage of . I just felt like I needed to make this known . I also want to point out that this establishment does not do acrylics even though they told me they did to get me in the chair only to do gel nails . I don't get my nails or eyebrows done anywhere else now! The nail services are unbelievable and if I want to relax I come for the $30 pedicure which includes a wonderful massage. This salon is clean, smells nice, and is friendly. They just changed management and I did love the former manager but it looks so beautiful now! I used to really like this salon. Been coming here for over a year and it's always been really good. Everyone has done a good job on my nails and I've never had trouble with waiting or getting an appointment. But after today I will not be back. I called at 1:00pm to make an appointment for 4:00pm. Granted, that wasn't a lot of time, but they said they could get me in no problem. I got to my appointment early (3:45) and walked right in to tell them I was here. And of course, there was no record of my appointment. Now all I wanted to get was a gel manicure. Nothing that required a ton of time, and I have nothing on my nails now so I didn't even need to soak. But when people are calling in while I'm sitting there waiting and they tell them to come right in, that's not okay. After being a loyal customer for over a year, you would think that there would be some type of respect, but after today it is apparent that is not the case. I will not be back. read more

I'm never one to complain or post negatively but I went in for an appointment at 930, started at 920 a bit early for a get dip powder manicure. After over an hour, the woman put the wrong coat on and we had to redo the entire process. I also asked for my nails to not be cut, just filed, and she cut them. the manager then had to take off the remaining first round of dip and redo the process. He did not file the top before polishing but just buffed it. It took over 2 hours for this whole manicure!! I have been doing dip for years and have never experienced this before. When I walked in it was packed in here! I was expecting to turn around and walk the other way because of a long wait. I was told 10 min and taken about 3 min later. Every instrument used was freshly open or brand new. My pedicure was one of the best I've had in this area. An amazing leg and foot massage along with a short shoulder one at the end! This salon was great! I got a fantastic mani-pedi at a great price! The people there were VERY nice and accommodating.The only issue I have is with the clientele. Two women had come in independently of each other, both well-to-do wearing JETS merchandise. They were loud, rude, and demanding to the staff who shuttered to bend to the will of the WAGS. I felt well taken care of. It is a busy salon, so I feel they might be able to work out a more efficient system, but they were a class act. It is a shame that money does not buy manners. read more

I really liked this salon at first. Clean, nicely decorated, friendly/nice but not overly talkative staff. I have always gotten gel manicures here and recently started getting pedicures also. Once I had gotten the first few pedicures I was sold that this was my new go to salon. But the past 2 gel manicures have quickly changed my mind. I got my gel mani (and a pedi, but that was great) on Wednesday after work, the next day two nails had chipped. I went in on a Friday and one of the girls did a quick fix - not perfect, but better than chipped nails. By the time I was done grocery shopping afterwards, the nails that were just fixed were chipped even worse. By the time Monday came around, all but 2 of my nails were terribly chipped/peeling. When I went back to get them fixed the girls were not very nice. I was hoping they would start fresh and redo the nails (they really looked bad) but instead they just fixed all 8 nails. This would've been totally acceptable, but my nails just look horrible now. They are super thick and all bumpy and uneven. They ignored me and took 2 walk-ins before even acknowledging me again. I'm going to a different salon tomorrow to get the gel removed after 3 trips to the salon in a week (gel manis should last at least 1.5 weeks but really should last 2). I'm really disappointed. I was going to give this place another chance, but the way they treated me when I went in the second time to fix the chips really turned me off. They honestly didn't seem surprised that their gel manicures lasted less than a week. I guess now that they have gotten busier, they don't really care to retain customers. Also, this last gel manicure (that didn't even last a week) took an hour and a half. Plus if you want to add the extra time for my two additional visits. Almost 2.5 hours for a bad/expensive gel mani. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because their pedicures are really good. read more

Very disappointed. I get my manicures and pedicures here regularly. When I walked in on the last occasion I was told that they were very busy and my pedicure would be shorter than normal. I asked if I would be charged less and I was told no. Essentially I was offered half of the service for full price. If they were too busy, perfectly fine but to tell me half the service and same price is just absurd. Poor customer service!!! read more

Ask for a total before you sit down. Make it clear that you don't want to spend more than the quoted price. Otherwise what was supposed to be a $40 job turns into a $70 job. They fail to mention or even ask if you want all the extras they sneak in there. These ladies aren't stupid. They understand perfectly well what they are doing. Like many other reviewers, I have been disappointed that this salon hasn't been able to sustain their customer service and quality as they've become more popular. Their gel manicures have gotten far worse - both in terms of application as well as longevity without chips. The pedicures are still good but a bit more rushed and with not the same level of attention - the girls doing it are often chatting (complaining it seems more often then not) and distracted. Overall customer service has declined in terms of speed of getting customers seated and moving them through the process. Often times you'll see a group of women finish up their pedicures then not have enough people available to do their manicures or vice versa. As you approach closing time, the girls visibly try to pawn off customers that walk in the door. At one point, I came in with more than enough time for a mani pedi. It took longer than I had expected for them to seat me for a pedicure and I indicated that I wanted a manicure as well but was worried about time. The pedicure woman asked a manicurist who wasn't busy if she could do my nails simultaneously. The manicurist looked over and said that my massage chair would shake me too much so she'd wait until that was done. I said i could turn it off but she wasn't receptive to it. Shortly thereafter she took on another woman for a manicure at her station so i ended up walking out with just a pedicure because I didn't have 2 1/2 hours to spend getting my nails done. Unfortunately I won't be going back, despite their new Sunday hours which I had originally advocated for. read more

I cam here for a relaxing pedicure. What I received was a male owner as my pedicure St who didn't listen to a word I said, like the emery board you are using is ripping my skin apart. Additionally, he spent the first fifteen minutes chastising employees (since it was in Korean, I can only surmise but based on the chagrined looks of the employees, I'll bet good money that I am right) until I mentioned that I was feeling quite stressed and that's not what I expect of a pedicure. He then stopped, but every time he used an emery board he held it up to me as to warn me that pain and abrasions were forthcoming. I had to use a tool to clean under the nails since he didn't do that. I would have left, except I was killing time to pick up a prescription. No tip for this man. I decided to try this place because I don't like the other nail salons in Florham Park. I walked in and the place is a lot nicer than I had expected. I believe it was the owner who did my nails and she was lovely. She asked me a few questions about how I heard about the place and where I was from. Other than that she was pretty quiet, which is nice because I just like to relax. The place was spotless as well as all of the tools and the restrooms. I got a gel manicure which I normally do myself because I have my own kit. She did all of the steps carefully and accurately. I was also given warm gloves filled with cream to moisturize my hands. The prices are just slightly higher than the surrounding salons, but I'd rather pay the few extra dollars. They take their take time and go the extra mile instead of pushing you out the door like other salons. I find the workers at the other salons in town very pushy, but here they were nothing but helpful. They also use my preferred brand of gel polish, gelish. I will most certainly return to this salon to try a pedicure. read more

Finally tried this place out yesterday (Saturday) and was pleased! A bit pricey for a mani/pedi at $42 ($12/$30), but I must say, the pedicure was fantastic. The pedicure was so long- Maria did the longest massages I have ever gotten, with hot stones included, they also give you oil for your heal! It was incredible ! My sister in law was also with me! I was in Bom Nails this evening getting a pedicure I told the pedicurist not to cut my cuticle (b/c that's how infections happen) and what does she do pull on my cuticle and cuts my toe. Then tries to cover it up by sticking my foot into the spa. I repeatedly asked her to stop and she kept trying to work on my foot I had to flag the "owner" down to get her to stop. "Owner" try to cover it up. Offering to give me a free pedicure/ someone else to finish. Now I'm scared my toe will be infected they refuse to give me the owners name or allow me to pay for the service. I guess they didn't want a record of me being there. I'm shocked because I always go there and to be treated like this is DISGUSTING. Avoid going there, if you go somewhere for service and our injure in the process it is there responsibility to rectify the situation. DO NOT GO THERE!!! read more
