Glossy is my FAVORITE nail salon in Orange County. My first stop after the airport was getting my nails done at Glossy and it did not disappoint. I couldn't recommend a nail salon more. My nails is perfect and exactly what I wanted. They can also do fun designs which I love. Today I got gel x extensions for the first time and I'm definitely going to get it again. I've been coming to this location (Villa Park Nails) for a couple of years now and have seen New Management not succeed after a couple of months. I'm not sure why because it's in a good visible location for marketing, and the previous three New Managements, were all good with their services. However, Brian and Tara, who are now the new owners of Glossy Nail Spa, have done a lovely job on starting fresh by remodeling the place into a very clean, peaceful, and modern establishment. They have great color selections to choose from. Brian does a great job on your nails by taking his time to prepare them without excessive filing, cutting the cuticles instead of painfully filing them away, shaping them evenly and correct the first time, polishing and making sure you're satisfied with the finished results. I've only had a pedi with Kay, who also did a nice job, relaxing experience, and a polish with a design that lasted. Brian and Tara are a vibrant, young, friendly couple with experience and new and improved ideas for this establishment that would benefit the community for years to come. Please consider visiting this small business for your services and to help them succeed in this location. You won't be disappointed!! I have been coming to this nail salon for nearly 2 years now and typically love the service I receive, but today had such a horrible experience that definitely made me feel differently. I had come in today to get a new gel X set like I usually do and everything was going well until I went to pay. I was a little unhappy with my nails, but am not typically the type of person to complain or speak up as I hate causing a scene or complaining so I decided not to speak up. Two of the technicians were chitchatting while I was standing upfront to pay, then the one who did my nails came up to inform me that they wanted $100 for my set. I was absolutely shocked. The most they have ever charged me for my nails is around $75-$85 MAX. I asked them why I was being charged so much this time and another employee came up to speak to me. He informed me that I was being charged for the "design" and I questioned him what about my design was worth $100 as I have gotten wayyyy more intricate designs with them and have never been charged that much. I also told them that I should have been informed before hand that the specific design would cost $100 so I could have picked something else within my budget. He then changed the up-charge excuse to that it was the fact that my set of nails was long because they allegedly charge more for lengthier nails. I then told them that I had never ever been charged extra for longer nails and that if they started up charging for length, they should have been informative about doing so. They then offered to discount them to around $90, but I stood my ground and told them I was not ok with that price point since I was unhappy with my nails as they didn't look like my reference photo as well as still hadn't gotten a clear answer or reason for the exact reason why they were trying to charge me $100, especially since my last set only cost me $75. The technician then proceeded to literally GASLIGHT me and say that me being charged $75 was impossible and that they never charge that little. One of the employees next told me in a very rude tone that they could take the set off and make them " back to how they were"..? I explained that I could not wait for a whole removal process and possible new set since I was on a time crunch to get to work and could not be late. Luckily they came to an agreement with me and only changed me the usual $75 they do. I was very very upset leaving the salon due to complete shock they attempted to overcharge me. I feel like if they raised prices that significantly they should be extremely upfront about it with their clients as well as if they allegedly started uncharging for designs and length. Even odder thing is that my sister is went earlier this week and was only charged $60 for a hand painted design. She was in shock as well when I told her that they tried to charge me so much. I hated disputing this issue with the nail salon workers since I hate being a difficult or cheap customer, but them trying to charge such a high price definitely feels like I was being taken advantage of. I wish they would have been upfront about pricing. I absolutely adored this salon so it absolutely breaks my heart to say that I will not be returning again. :( read more

The tech who did my nail, an older lady, she was rude after I requested a regular manicure instead of gel, she kept saying I need to get gel till I said I'm going to have a surgery and can't have gel nails. Then she started bad mouth me with the other lady who did my pedicure. Little did she know I understand Vietnamese. She just did the bare minimum that I had to tell her to file my nails evenly on a few fingers. The lady who did my pedicure was very attentive and did a great job. So there's 3 stars, 1 for the cleanliness of the salon and 2 for the younger lady who did my pedicure, the older lady who did my manicure got 0 stars. read more

I had my nails done for my wedding at Glossy Nails and I could not be happier with how they turned out! Everyone there was so sweet and took great care of my Mom as well! I got a French tip that was beautifully done and my manicurist added a cool shimmer coating for free! Everyone was complimenting them at the wedding! I went in for a Gel X set and it came out exactly as my inspiration pictures! My nail tech was super cool and responsive, making the experience all the more enjoyable. They have so many colors and charms to choose from but I was most impressed by their handpainted designs which were done with so much care.
