This place is tucked in an older plaza but has good amount of parking. Area is quiet too especially on a Saturday afternoon. When you walk in, you're welcomed by a cozy, modern minimalist interior. They are very clean and hygienic too. Sharlene greeted me and checked me in as I walked in, which was nice because she also did my pedicure. She was very sweet and patient with me since I had a few requests during my pedicure. She was also gentle and did a great job! I booked my GelX manicure with Tyson since I noticed he did a lot of the nail art on their social media. Let's just say he NAILed my inspo (pun intended). I am so happy with how it turned out. He was also patient with me since I had to pause mid artwork to use the bathroom (& yes I did use the bathroom the moment I arrived too). I appreciated that he would ask for my opinions on the artwork because I opted for gold detailing compared to my inspo pic. I did enjoy the service because they were not pretending to care but just focused on what they where doing. Also didn't hear much speaking in a different language which wasn't rude. The one thing I did not like is they don't have those quick drying machines they put over your hand or feet so you have to wait for it to dry naturally. I have had a similar reaction happen to me once before about year ago and this may be more related to a gel allergy. However, I understand that gel allergies can be caused by nails that aren't fully/properly cured or from specific ingredients in the gel (could also build up over time, I got a gel manicure a month before this somewhere else and was okay). I got a gel x set and a day later my left hand was very itchy and swollen. My hands were cured in different machines (once had a mirror on the bottom one didn't, not sure the science or how long your hands are supposed to be in). I called the salon and they told me they could remove but that I would not be able to get any type of refund because they properly cure everyone's nails, I already received the service and this was likely a reaction on my end. They also said this had never happened to anyone before. While I was disappointed not to get any type of refund as I had spent a good $97 on this set (with tip) and only could keep it for 2 days. The salon did offer me 20% off my next service (but told me they only offer gel and recommended I don't get gel again). The reason this review has stars is because of the kindness of the staff when I returned to get them removed. There was no manger (so no refund for sure). But Vivian (she did not do my nails before) was extremely kind and careful removing nails. She took her time to gently remove the fresh gel and was extremely compassionate. Again, it is possible that this is just my skin reacting to the gel but wanted to put this out there in case it happens to anyone else since I was told I was the only person. read more

The individual who did my hand was also gentle. The progress was nice. However, I feel I have gotten the same service for a lot less. I spent to much for what I asked for. Missed the mark for me on my first time here and did not receive my 15% off. Bonnie, who did my pedicure did an excellent job. My manicure by Tracy was ok. Although she was detailed in what she did, when I asked for a Christmas tree on my index, she suggested we do just the bow on my ring finger otherwise there's "too much glitter". I did not get the red dots or Christmas tree designs on my other nails as requested. Then I was charged an additional $35 for my cateye French glitter nails, which is not a complex design...plus two plastic bows. Although I don't expect every technician to design exactly as pictured, I was disappointed I was charged for complex designs when I did not receive the designs requested. All staff there were very nice and welcoming, and the store looks beautiful. I usually don't argue with the technician when the technician suggests something else, because I'm not going to force someone to design something if they don't want to do it. Overall, I'm not sure if I'll return because I wasn't completely happy with my manicure technician or the lack of shimmer selection. Perhaps try a different person in the store, because everyone else that were in the store at the time received the designs they asked for.. read more

First time going in. The place is very clean and quiet which I loved. Everyone was very welcoming and warm and I had no problem with service. I was just a little disappointed in my nails. As someone who doesn't often get their nails done, I've been looking for a permanent nail tech/nail salon in the OC area. I saw good reviews on their Instagram and Tik Tok, and noticed they are great with designs and more trendy styles so I decided to book. First, I loved my pedicure but wasn't very impressed with my manicure. I showed the nails I wanted to my technician and she said okay and she was able to do it. I did show a picture of a French tip which I understand is not the same style I was actually doing. I just wanted the essence of the picture but with gel short nails that were yellow with purple flowers. She said that was okay. Also noting that the yellow she brought out was a lot lighter than the picture I showed but I thought it was okay since that was probably what was closest to what they had. Another note: she did cut my finger twice so that was unfortunate lol since it stung when she put products on. I told her and she apologized but of course accidents happen so no worries. When it came to the design, she said it was difficult for her and I honestly wasn't surprised since most salons I go to don't seem to be able to do the designs I show. I just was a bit confused since she saw the photo when she started the service. The person at the desk came over and told me she wasn't trained in designs so I should've let them know I want a design beforehand so I could be paired with a specific tech. While I didn't show the front desk the design, I did show the technician so I'm surprised she agreed to it if she knew she wouldn't be able to. They asked if I'd be willing to come in the next day to get the design done by someone else which was totally okay by me and I'm happy they communicated this instead of having me leave with bad work. I am not in the Orange area so it was a bit inconvenient but I understood that I should've let them know when I was checking in. Once I left I realize that the gel I got (without designs) wasn't the best. It was bubbly and uneven. But because it already seemed like I was giving a hard time with the design I just hoped once I got the design I would like the nails. Also by the next day, one finger had chipped. I came back the next day and got the design done. I like the nails more now that there was a design but I still don't think it hit my expectations for the salon since I was initially impressed by their designs on their social medias. The person who did my nails was attentive and did a good job but not as good as their designs on social media seemed to be. She also did note the chip but didn't offer to fix it. I think everyone was very nice and it's a nice salon but I just don't think it really hit my expectations. There seemed to be a lot of usual customers who seemed satisfied so maybe just finding the right technician and being more communicative could've made this a better experience! Ian is wonderful and has a creative style! The vibe is beautiful here in the salon, they have such a cool look in the salon. It has a futuristic modern kinda vibe inside I really love the aesthetics. One thing I really loved is that they had Closed captioning on a large TV, so accessible for people who may struggle to see small fonts. I am Deaf so it was really nice and felt cozy watching American Ninja Warrior while I was getting my nails done. I'm Really happy I came here! I went in for a fill gel builder manicure with a French tip. Tyson did my nails this time and never communicated to me that there were two different types of French tip they offer. He ended up doing the more expensive one, and to my surprise at check out, I was charged $15 for a deep French, not knowing there were two different types of French tip they offer. I brought it up when I was checking out and he basically just said sorry about it and didn't offer to charge me for what I originally asked for which was just a plain French tip. I left this appointment feeling very upset and deflated. Paying $75 for a short nail FILL with a French tip just seems absurd to me. I was even charged for a medium length fill. These were my baby shower nails and instead of feeling excitement I feel pretty bummed that it just felt like I was scammed. I drive 25 min to this salon and I unfortunately won't be returning after today's treatment. I recommend you maintain transparency and clear communication with your clients before continuing a service instead of surprising them with extra charges at check out. The nail salon was beautiful, very clean, and modern. I decided to treat myself and chose the highest-level pedicure. It was very nice, though next time I would probably choose a mid-level option. I also got cat-eye Gel-X almond nails, which I loved overall. The staff was very sweet and professional. The gentleman at the front desk was especially kind--he answered my call, confirmed they accepted walk-ins, and scheduled my appointment for when I arrived. It was really calm and peaceful inside, which I definitely appreciate. What I especially loved was that I brought a reference photo and Tyson, my assigned manicurist, took a photo of it on his own phone and was pretty much nailed it spot on.
