I made reservation for the Diamond Glow Facial 2 weeks before for Monday at 4 pm and requested Olga based off reviews. I received a reminder text the morning of and sent my confirmation text back. I arrived 15 minutes early and was greeted by Olga. She was extremely nice and told me what the Diamond Glow Facial included which was the microdermabrasion, light peel, facial massage, etc. all about 60 mins. Tip: Do not wear a necklace because they really massage your neck and chest. The massage was awesome. It was not half-assed at all!! She took her time, went into my shoulders, upper back and scalp. I've had a microdermabrasions before so I knew the process. The light peel...never done any peels before but Olga said no downtime and just to moisturize often. Didn't feel anything crazy at the time of the facial. So, we shall see. The whole experience was so relaxing and comfortable. I like that at the end that there were no sales pitch and no pushing me to buy any products. It was more of hope you enjoyed it and will come back for more. Which, I will. My face was smooth and glowing at the end. They have so many facial options for a good price.

I arrived early since you typically have to fill out a questionnaire prior to facials. Sandy, the owner, was my esthetician. My appointment was for 4:30pm but her previous client wasn't done until 4:40pm and then we chatted a bit about my options until about 4:50pm since they had no menu and their website is a bit outdated. She explained to me that Kawehi Skin is a customized experience so she usually looks at her clients' skin and then discuss the recommendations and let the customer decide how to proceed. I communicated that I would prefer a menu so I know what I am paying for, but at the same time I can tell Sandy was very caring and was being genuine about her service. I felt very conflicted since I usually like things defined. But she reassures me that the business is transitioning to new menus and they will completely revamp their services soon. So we proceed with my facial and my skin was definitely dry. We did 2 cleanses, steam, enzymes to digest the dead skin cells, a calming mask in parallel with a shoulder massage, microdermabrasion, and then moisturizing drops at the end. This was about an hour for $95. Sandy mentions that the services here aren't timed. In theory it is sweet that they take all the time they need on the client... but in practice that means they can be running late to their next appointment. For the record, the value was really fair for the services and upgrades I decided on. Also there is a sign out front that says "Credit Card transactions are subject to a 2.75% fee." I don't mind paying a fee, but I wished someone would have mentioned it prior so I could have went and got cash. And also I did not like a percent. It's fair to me if the business charge the flat rate that the bank charges them -- but I like advanced notice. I asked Sandy if a debit card counts as a credit card. To her credit, Sandy did not charge me the transition charge since it was my first visit. I'm not taking away any points for this since my fee was waived, but I feel like it is important for the business and patrons to be aware. Sandy was very sweet and I enjoyed her service. They are super close to work and the prices are fair. However I can't give them a 5 star when my appointment start time was late and the menu and prices are so undefined. I plan to come back when they have their menus up and business model revamped. I would be more than happy to give them that 5 stars when they earn it.

One special thing to note is if you book a service that's at least an hour, you receive a complimentary foot soak as long if you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This was a nice touch. When I arrived, Cristina, from the front desk walked me to their quiet room, which has the ultimate relaxation vibes. She was amazing! She had my foot soak ready to go, along with a heated neck wrap and a blanket. On top of that, she made me a delicious vanilla chamomile tea, accompanied by a chocolate. A literal pampering angel. We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. I noticed a lot of a younger crowd here (early 20s) - good for them prioritizing their wellness - I guess price point works for them too. And sadly maybe a lot of then, they do not know what is good versus atrocious. But, this is a place where one could leave with some serious skin and/or health issue, it is that bad. i was with MDs here. never again. i had 4 services here and each one was SO terrible (too chatty, bad services. it was painful all around). i found the slippers, towels, robes, showers - even the lockers/seating/walls/toilets/sinks/flooring - NOTHING was clean, just smelly/nasty - much less the amenities and pooled water/all seating. do not waste your money like i did. just YUCK. also why did they have like: zero q-tips, any product, disposable combs - like very basic items any spa always has. like even equinox has this stuff. Also their AC is always broken (we rescheduled twice due to their broken AC - they called us. guess what, we showed up - STILL NO AC it was stifling) so they bring in these loud industrial huge fans. nothing seems/smells clean (say 'green products'...). sadly, so many of the employees sound SO sick with heavy wet coughs/colds. they seem to hate their lives. and there is zero food. lucky to get water if it is not empty. too bad because it could be a nice place if they cleaned, cared, had good services. basic upkeep, and did not let in a gazzilion guests at a time. So much better to pay more at another spa and not contract some serious health issue here. i still tipped well because the employees seem so miserable and overworked/clueless, yet polite. but i want to warn others - do not repeat my mistake by going here (even if someone sends you for free, get a refund, or try a different location).

More about pushing down pressure using their elbows, tools, and knees. I prefer massages directly on my knots and areas of focus. When I mention areas of focus, she roughly goes over that area but then will do a full body massage, which I didn't ask for when I wanted focus areas. They will sit on the table or climb onto the tables to push their fists into your body. Not the true therapeutic massage I look for, if these masseuse just push their fists into your body.
