On Thursday, June 13th I was feeling really stressed from work so I decided to pamper myself. I Yelped for a nearly Spa with some sort of Spa Package where I could indulge in a massage and a facial ($110 value with $10 hot stone upgrade). I came early to my appointment time so I can prefill the typical forms you fill out on your first visit to any decent spa. Name, age, facial/skincare routine, medication, allergies, etc... In general I have been criticized that my writing is too small and I still felt like the forms did not give enough space for real responses. A second page was given for me to fill out for my massage, areas to focus on, areas to avoid and areas that are experiencing pain. The massage came first with May. I LOVE May!! May gets 5 stars. She is friendly and very intuitive with her massage techniques. We started face down and I mentioned that I enjoy a medium to hard pressure. She provided the perfect amount of pressure into her smooth long soothing strokes. The hot stones were magnificent and they really loosened up my tense muscles. She really provided extra attention to the areas I asked for extra attention on the form I filled out. I was especially impressed by her technique when she was massaging my leg because she bent my leg to the side to massage areas that others have missed in the pass. And of course massage it some more while it was straight. Once she was done with my backside, it was time for my to flip over face up. IN THEORY the best IDEA ever... May was going to continue massage me face up IN PARALLEL with my facial!! So Holly comes in with the steam machine, puts in the water and points it at my face.. .. .. AND HOT WATER STARTED SQUIRTING AT MY EYE!!!!!!!!! I screamed and sat up... my sad sad right eye was in pain!! Both the whites of my eyes, an extremely dilated pupil and the flesh around my right eye was burning... My poor eye was all watery and I was in PAIN!! This was such an awkward and vulnerable moment where I was pretty naked from my massage and now my eye was BURNINGGGG... It's been hours since the incident as I am writing this horror story and my eye sockets still throb. Everyone was running in and out of the room. The owner comes in, another worker comes in, everyone was freaking out and screaming in Vietnamese like what happened?!?! Well good thing I am Vietnamese too cause I can tell you in both English and Vietnamese what happened. SHE SHOULD HAVE POINTED THE STEAMER TO THE SIDE UNTIL IT IS READY BEFORE POINTING IT AT MY FACEEEEE!! The ironic part is that I had an 'eye' out for this spot because Yelp displayed that they were "Verfied License" and THAT made me feel safe coming here. Ouch, right? Boy was I wrong!! So all these ladies were trying to calm me down, but I'm just like oww please back off. Like my face is throbing... I do not want to be touched. Please no facial!! They wanted to my a cooling mask but my nerves were tingling, I didn't want any pressure. I was like ouch please leave me aloneeeee... After a while I laid back down, mostly because I wanted to close my eyes and let it rest. May was so sweet because she gave me extra time because she felt bad for me and felt that time was taken away in all of the drama. I was mad, but I was in no shape to get up immediately and drive off, so it was probably a good thing I laid there for a bit longer. So after the massage I went out to pay. Of course the receptionist heard the story, felt bad, etc. The part that got me was when she made a comment like she didn't know HOW BAD it was and MECHANIC ERRORS HAPPEN. Well this was human error too. Please don't be so quick to dissolve yourself of blame. They said they felt bad charging me for the massage, but I believe in "do what's right" and it is right that May should be paid for her hard work. So to be fair I said I wanted to pay for May's cut of their pricing. In addition I gave May a fat fat tip in case the reduced pricing effects her pay. The receptionist gave me a gift certificate for a Mini Facial... to consider coming back to them cause their ladies are great... Well I thought about it... Ask yourself... would you want to come back to a spot that reminds you of physical pain and emotional trauma? NO WAY!!! My time and overall well being is precious to me. Even if it was a different person, when that steam machine comes near me, I will probably tense up and get extra worried. This has ruined the thought of going to a facial ANYWHERE for a long long long time. And for the record... in addition to the major major issue at hand, there were a few observations I had about the business that made them subpar as an establishment. (1) Extremely tacky Christmas tree in JUNE in the lobby. (2) Super cheap toilet paper. Come on, you guys are a "Spa," give me some extra plushy Charmin'. (3) Uncomfortable massage bed. I cannot say anything but great things about this spa! I came here with a group of six girls apart of a bachelorette trip a month ago (yes, I'm a huge procrastinator) and we're not disappointed. We were greeted with the a lovely waiting space including a comfy couch and a bottle of sparkling wine. They even let us bring our own charcuterie spread and more champagne because bachelorette tings. Every single one of staff was so welcoming and friendly. Super accommodating and beautiful, clean shop. A full body massage and a facial were included in the package. I appreciated that my massage therapist took into consideration that this was my first ever massage in 32 years of life. She was so gentle and every muscle in my body just..let loose. It was amazing! She found knots I didn't even know I had! My friend is also a virgin regarding facials, so the tech made sure to give a little extra TLC and gentle care to her. Afterwards, she told me her face has never felt so clean and baby soft. She is now addicted! And here's the kicker; it remained that way 2 weeks later! I really appreciated that Helen (?) and the other girls made sure there was only one person in the bathroom area at all times. This was peak COVID, so she would actually wait with us and tell us when the other person was done. After a through cleaning, she'd tell us we can go. Bathrooms are pristinely clean. After our massages and facials, our group proceeded to wait in the waiting area and enjoy our champagne and charcuterie. We were never rushed, not even to pay. Price was absolutely unbelievable for our experience. Please tip a lot when you come, these girls definitely deserve it! I also want to note that after our facials, none of us woke up with red, swollen or irritated skin or faces. We all went out for drinks and makeup application was totally fine. Husband and I went to get a facial and massage. Both had different experiences: Front girl in the front was very pleasant and was able to get us in earlier. She made sure we were comfortable, offer us champagne and assisted us to our rooms. Both my husband and I had the same girl do our facials. Christina is her name. Christina was very knowledgeable and suggested ointments and creams we should get. Highly recommend Christina for facials. My husband got massages with hot stones by had Helen. When it came to the hot stones another lady stepped in to do them, the lady asked to place a mask, and placed a towel over his face. This was upsetting for him since he was laying down naked and didn't know where he left his mask. The was demanding on the mask. For me I had a deep tissue massage, the lady right away asked me to put my mask. She said no massage on feet, hands and legs. It's hard to relax when you're being faced up, have a mask on, towel over your face and was using a towel for the massage. When I came my husband notice it was the lady that did his hot stones and I let him know how it was the worse massage. I gets it's covid but don't massage if you're that scared. My husband did let the front office girl know our experience. I'll recommend this place for facials not massages. If client is paying for service the client should get what the for. I rarely leave reviews but I am so disappointed that I feel like I need to share my experience. I am very disappointed with how I was treated at this establishment today. I had came before and had a pleasant experience and was on the email list for a fall specials or I could get a 70 minute hot stone massage for $70. I called and made sure that the special is still valid and if they could fit me in today and clarified the price and the time three times. I showed up on time for my appointment on time and checked in and she had me wait which is not a problem. However, while I was waiting three other people came in after me who had appointments after me and the receptionist showed them to their rooms first (she had forgotten about me). She then looked surprised at me sitting there and she said "oh you're here for a massage" to which I said yes I checked in 15 minutes ago. She again asked to clarify the massage and the price and even showed her the email. The massage itself was fine. I had to tell the masseuse that the massage included hot stone as the receptionist did not tell her. When I went to pay she wanted a two dollar charge to use a credit card (which is standard and I did not have a problem with) but then wanted an additional three dollars (total of $5) for me to put the tip on there essentially asking me for it in cash. Fortunately, I had cash for the tip. The special was also supposed to come with tea and I was quite thirsty and she did not offer me anything to drink after I paid but as soon as the other folks that were getting massages came up to pay she offered them water right away. I'm pretty laid back and let go small stuff this added up to me leaving feeling poorly treated. I called this place to schedule an appointment and asked if they had availability for same day, otherwise I would like to schedule for another time. Basically leaving it up to them to let me know. They said they could take me in 25 min and I show up only for them to tell me they called the wrong number and said there was a mixup and to come back in 45 min. Whatever. Nbd. Show up at my designated time and proceeded to wait almost 40 more minute for the wax to warm up. They specialize in general relaxation massages and facials. I got a hot stone massage and a facial. I LOVED my facial (it was my first time) and my skin is BEAUTIFUL!! A few reasons why this place gets a down side: 1. Not all the workers there speak English. This might be difficult for customers to request specific things about their massages such as less pressure or to avoid a specific area. 2. The massages I received as quite aggressive. I requested to be massaged a little lighter with the salt scrub, but I still walked out with scratches on my neck (ouchie)! 3. There's only one shower - so you either get comfy with your buddy or take turns showering. P.S. the shower is pretty cool! Nonetheless, the customer service here is great! I love the enthusiasm. This was a tough one. I bought my wife an hour massage, added a 30 minute scalp massage and added a 30 minute foot massage. It's the first time my wife has ever left a massage early. Obviously I wasn't there, but my wife shared everything with me. I'm frustrated because it wasn't cheap and it was terrible. My wife said the masseuse didn't use enough oils and her skin was red and almost bruised. Almost like she gave her rug burns all over. Then when she went to the foot massage my wife said she just basically cupped her foot and moved up and down. Then on the head massage my wife said she just scratched her head in the same place..pausing often as if she was on her phone and got distracted, only to come back to the same place and scratch. During the head massage my wife actually said, "hey I think I'm done" and the masseuse just said "ok are you sure?" Before leaving my wife told the receptionist about her experience and she was very apologetic. She said the owner is out of town but will reach out to her upon return. He never did. Only when my wife left a negative review did the owner reach out to say "I'll reach out to you personally because we'd like to offer you another massage." That never happened either. My experience with Glow Day Spa was extraordinary!! I went there last week I told Mrs. Helen about my Achilles Tendon and my rotary cup. Her masseuse focused on both my Achilles Tendon and rotary cup they were able to knock out the kinks. When I left the spa, I was glowing and felt energized! I had such a great experience here! Shoutout to my boyfriend for buying me a surprise facial!! Location: the spa is tucked in the small plaza and the outside has Christmas lights and signage pointing to the spa entrance. Once I got inside, the receptionist greeted me and gave me some milk chocolate while I waited! Okayyy girl thank you!! The facial I got was the microdermabrasion facial and Jenny GLOWED me up! Like someone's living room.. that's been sitting there waiting for you until now. The ladies at the front desk are kind and it smells like heaven in there. You'll be asked to enter some information on your first time but let them know if you've been there before. They offer different types of massages like Swedish or therapeutic. Hot stones, essential oils, and CBD. One star off because I've been here about 5 times now and they usually will invite you to sit in a smaller waiting room where you can enjoy some quiet time, tea and chocolates after the massage. The last visit I wasn't offered this so I don't know what the change was? I have seen a picture of a sauna as well but not sure how to access that either. I went in for a couples massage with my boyfriend and left so tense and even worse than when I went in. My boyfriend hated it. He said that they repeatedly hurt him with their elbows and they kept going right on top of his bones! I'm not sure if they know that you are supposed to target muscles...... It felt rushed and they clearly wanted to just get it over with. We scheduled it to get some relaxation and left the "spa" in pain and with $120 less in our pockets. Also during the lower body part of the "massage" they literally spent most of the time on my shins! I'm not sure if they are aware, but there is NO muscle on my shins. I have had several massages at other places in the past and never had any issues. But for my boyfriend this was his first massage ever and he left in a lot of pain. He even had bruises! I have attached a picture of his damaged shoulder after using their elbows. His back is the same as the shoulder. I kept getting the massage oil bottle dropped onto my body and truly felt incredibly uncomfortable the entire time. If you like terrible massages you will love this place. The only good thing was that the receptionist was very nice but so what? That's not what we spend money for. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. UPDATE: It's the next day and we feel even worse. We couldn't even get up from bed without pain. Both of our spines are bruised because they put their elbow directly onto our bone. My experience with my personal masseuse ( I believe Angel Phan ) was not pleasant. The 1 hour massage was not in flow or smooth and did not feel comfortable. The masseuse felt like she was 1. Rushing and 2. Like she was literally doing a half job. There was no synchrony on each hand or arm or on the legs. She jumped from a different body part to something different and worked on them for diff amounts of time and it was anything but relaxing. While having to move the sheet, she would flip it up and leave it bunched up while working on other portions as well as aggressively drop my arms and legs after completing the section. There were a lot of times where the massage oil bottle was laying on my body during the massage. The actual spa, their covid protocols and the receptionists were all wonderful. My experience is solely on my masseuse and the massage she gave me. When I mentioned my concern to the receptionist, the solution shared was that they would pair me with another masseuse- but did nothing about the $ charged for a half decent massage. I came for a 30 min body scrub an hour before closing and they happily welcomed me in, encouraged me to use their very clean and luxurious showers, and took their time with me. Lenny was my masseuse and she was hilarious and knowledgable!! She educated me on where my most tense spots were and how to help ease them at home, out of all my massages I've had in life I've never had such a helpful masseuse! She said "you're lucky you got me today" and I completely agree! I had been here before with my boyfriend for a couples massage and we both had an amazing relaxed time. The decor is lovely, it smells good, the rooms are quiet, the staff are extremely professional, and the prices are reasonable. I paid $45 for my 30 min body scrub that actually turned out to be 40ish minutes plus some deep tissue action she did not have to include. I loved Lenny and will be going back to her for my deep tissue massages! She reeeally got in there, it HURT, and usually I'm a bit of a pussy and will ask to lighten the pressure. But Lenny talked me through it, allowed me to truly relax so she can do her thang. I had an AMAZING nights sleep that night and the stubborn knot I had for a week was gone within 24hrs. I've hesitated to write a review for this place after a recent visit. I don't think the person who gave me my massage is to blame for the awful massage I got there. The place itself has decent parking, good signage, and the inside is clean and professional. I've had many massages from quick back massages to high-end spa massages in day spas. This was one of the longest and worst massages I have ever received. I felt the lack of adequate training for the therapist was obvious. She wasn't even with her pressure at all, or based on my intake doc. I have a shoulder injury that I outlined on the document and it was obvious she didn't review it. I repeatedly told her and quickly I realized we didn't understand each other due to language barriers. She had long fingernails that kept poking me throughout the massage. In some areas her pressure was so light that it wasn't meaningful at all, in some locations I was bruised the next day. I requested cranial massage and she used her fingernails to scratch my head for like 5minutes straight. I almost crawled out of my skin. Zero pressure just an incessant scratching. That is NOT a crania massage. Small things were off too, and showed her lack of experience and training. She would lean over me and reach for the lotion. She kept bumping the table as she circled around me. Small but important things that matter in a pro massage. I don't blame her, I blame the management. Train your people pls! This tiny hidden spa is a bit of a gem... sort of. They definitely put great effort into decorating the place for the holidays. Came here for a couples massage on my birthday, which is the day before valentines. The service at the front desk was pleasantly nice and welcoming. However, our massages was mediocre and kind of an awkward experience... My masseuse barely spoke a lick of English, which was fine until she also didn't seem to know what she was doing with me at all. Lol My boyfriend's masseuse was a friendly Indian lady that kept helping and guiding my masseuse, which was awesome of her ... but it dipped into his massage time and ruined our relaxing experience of therapeutic silence and oils. My masseuse didn't impress me at all so I'd never come back for a massage especially after my boyfriend and I felt so rushed to get out of the room after they handed us pieces of Ghiradeli chocolates. Like why would you hand us chocolates to not be able to enjoy in the moment? They basically rushed us to shower and said, "You only get one minute to shower before you head over to the other room for scheduled facials"... The masseuse also said, "If you shower any longer, it cuts into your facial time." I'm sorry, what?! Lol *face palm moment*... Limiting time and rushing people is NOT a relaxing space for a spa. We paid extra for the salt scrub which is why we had to shower before our facials, but we aren't paying extra to get jipped on facial time. Wth? Like I said, awkward. Moreover, we loved our facial ladies!! They were super friendly, attentive, and didn't make us feel rushed at all. In fact, my facial lady even told our masseuses to let us take our time to enjoy our chocolates and champagne. My actual facial itself was great. She did extractions and made my face feel real clean. The masseuses at Glow are the 2nd and 3rd worst massages I have ever had. Maybe they would be the absolute worst, but I cut them short before I could really find out. Not only that, they are unprofessional and had a hard time keeping my appointment straight (I booked a 90 min deep tissue and 90 min acne facial based on good reviews). I'll skip over most of the unprofessional behavior to keep it short, but the key item here is how bad the massages were. They are 100% not trained and do not know anything about anatomy. The first lady started by strongly hitting me on my back, randomly. She then covered my back with a too hot towel and left the room, leaving the door open. She came back with some supplies, presumably for my facial (this should have been prepared before I got there) then started to rub over this now kinda cold, scratchy towel. The rest of the massage was just her rubbing her forearm, elbows, and sometimes hands up and down my back with very aggressive transitions. There wasn't even any sort of thought behind it. She would be on my left, then my right, never balancing out, and at first a lot down my middle over the spine. I said ow multiple times and asked her not to go over my spine, she said she was doing muscle, maybe she doesn't know what a spine is? I stopped this about 15-20 mins in realizing it wasn't going to get better and asked to speak to the front desk lady thinking maybe we'd skip to facial. The lady came up and she seemed understanding and not at all surprised that I was unhappy. I mentioned to her I scheduled a deep tissue massage and she was just rubbing my back up and down which is not at all what I expected. She said she had another very good masseuse and instructed me to put my head down. The next lady came in and basically started doing the same thing, but much harder! I really don't think they understand what a deep tissue massage is. I let this go on for another 15mins then relinquished the idea of having a relaxing spa day. During both massages I was rubbed in ways that could be harmful, stabbed with elbows, and scratched with long nails. I'm just so glad that I walked away before letting these unprofessional, unexperienced, phonies touched my face! Also, during this whole ordeal, no one seemed to understand that I was naked and preferred doors not to stay open and to be given the dignity of handing me a robe before having a conversation. read more

I have been going to this spa since 2018. I used to love their customer service and the massage. So, I was beyond excited to hear that they re-opened. The main reason why I was comfortable to make an appointment with them was because the yelp page showed that they have implemented the Covid-19 safety protocols. However, when I arrived, my temperature was not checked. Additionally, the lady who was giving me body massage was wearing the face mask improperly (not covering her nose), and coughed/chocked in the room which got me all paranoid even though she distanced herself from the massage table when she was coughing/chocking. The massage itself was very good as expected so I tipped the lady handsomely, but I am definitely not satisfied with the COVID safety protocols they have implemented as a spa, which requires a direct physical contact between the therapist and the client. read more

Went here for our 6 year anniversary. It was our first couple's massage and facial and we had such a great experience. My masseuse was Lenne (I hope I spelled her name right), and she was amazing. I have lower back pain and she was able to work out all my kinks. I'm not too sure who my boyfriend got but he said it felt great and rejuvenated afterwards. The facial felt relaxing but I feel like could have been a little harder if that makes sense. I felt like she was really gentle and scared of hurting my face but I could have done with a bit more force to increase the stimulation in the face. I liked that she, Christina, explained the aftercare to me instead of just leaving me without that knowledge. If you want a bottle of champagne, it's an extra $20 but we didn't get that because I figured we'd have our faces down on the table or our eyes closed most of the time. lol. Went in for the first time to this location. Great environment BUT during the massage the lady was talking to co workers and laughing. It was hard to relax and enjoy the massage. This place is definitely between a reflexology & massage envy. It tries to be more upscale like massage envy, but still replicates a reflexology. The receptionist seemed nice but her conversation between a personal trainer was inappropriate. She would give him a $10 discount if he gave her a discount on personal training. The rooms are nice and upscale, but my masseuse her name Queenie (Queeny) was something different. She sat on the table at times while massaging me, some massages she did was more of pushing pressure against me. To top it off, when she was done, she tapped the tip of my nose with her finger to wake me up. I thought that was totally weird!! I really hate leaving anything but a five start review but I'm going to give this feedback in hopes that this business would take this as an opportunity to improve. I called in the morning to inquire if there are any appointments available for a couples massage and facial. I was surprised and happy to be told there were availability the same day. We booked an 11am, 2 hour couples massage and facial appointment. The place itself was welcoming. The aesthetics of the lobby was clean and well decorated. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and courteous. They helped us with checking in and handed us forms we needed to fill out. One of the girls walked us in our room and gave us instructions on what to do (undress, lay face down on bed). Waited a couple of minutes and a couple of ladies came in and told us we needed to turn face up because they were doing the facial first. So we did. They walked out. We waited another couple of minutes then another lady came in and said we needed to face down again because they were doing the massage first... by this time, I looked at the clock and it was 11:18. Yes. I made sure to check, because the miscommunication, and the confusion in the beginning already gave me a red flag. My massage was subpar. The masseuse was communicative, asking how the pressure was here and there. The technique was inconsistent. The things she'd do on My right side, she didn't do on my left. On the forms we filled out during check in, it asked what areas i wanted for them to focus on, I answered, my shoulders. She did not focus on that at all. I do like that she was consistent with the pressure and that she kept checking on me. She finished the massage at 12:11. A few minutes after the masseuses walked out of our room, another pair came in for our facials. It was 12:13. And yes, I checked. My facial consisted of the lady wetting my face, scrubbing it, washing it again, then "massaging" my face with the tip of her fingers, oh and plucking some eyebrow hair. She washed my face for a period of time and the rest of the facial was her tapping on my forehead and my cheeks. I wish I was exaggerating. She was done @ 1:02. During check out, the ladies at the front asked how our experience was and I was open and honest about it. I wasn't impressed, I said. She then suggested I get my facial with someone else next time.. she wrote down the name Maria on a paper. although after this experience, with the price I paid, I don't think I'll be back. I also voiced out that they shorted us time and finished early. now please note that my review is for my experience. My husband said his was ok. Nothing to brag about, but nothing bad, he says. We paid $280 for the services NOT including tip. Was it worth it? My heart just can't say yes. Would I be back? Highly unlikely.. read more
