I had a couples massage today. I had called last week to schedule my appointment to find out they scheduled it for the wrong day. When I called yesterday to have it fixed it was a hassle to fix the appointment. Today we had the massage and was disappointed that I didn't get the full hour. I would have rated a little higher for the actual massage, ambiance & overall service given by the Receptionist. The interaction with the masseuse at the end of the service was completely unprofessional! I had written a suggestion note as I was paying. I stated as a suggestion, that during massage sessions, there should be less talking between staff. (It was my best friend's birthday, so we were together for our massage). The two masseuse therapists came in talking to each other in their dialect. They never told us their names. They continued to converse with each other during the entire massage session. One of them kept saying that they would stop talking (multiple times during the session. Then a few minutes later, would start up the conversation again!) It continued the entire time. We chose this place for massage services, hoping to get some relaxation during our visit. That's quite difficult, when the masseuse is too busy having a chat session with her coworker during the massage. After she heard that I had written a little note about the experience, she stormed out of the back into the front lobby and rudely questioned which one of us complained about her talking during the session. She said "don't tip!" "I don't take your tip!" Mind you, I had already paid and tipped and left my suggestion note. It was a very rude interaction. The Receptionist embarrassingly apologized for the incident, stating that the note was given to the owner. If the owner was there, the owner never came out to correct or apologize for the incident that occurred. I'm really disappointed with the whole experience at this Spa! I was really debating whether or not I should even post this, but since I woke up and my hand is still hurting I decided that I needed to so this doesn't happen to anybody else. I went in yesterday expecting a one hour massage and a one hour facial. The receptionist brought me back into the room and told me that I would be starting with my massage. The massage therapist came in, and told me that she would do 30 minutes of my back, flip me over, the facialist would start on me, and that she would finish the remaining 30 minutes on my front. I was annoyed by this, because I figured oh somebody tried to make an appointment and the timing got messed up to where they couldn't do both. But whatever, I am here and I'm trying to relax so I'll just deal with it. The massage was pretty shitty, it was just all elbows no hands not Swedish like I had asked for. It was also really shitty to be having the facial is doing extractions while getting massaged it completely defeated the purpose of coming into relax because my body was so tense from how painful the extractions were. After the massage was done, she left, and the facialist continued to massage my face. At this point, I was feeling super hot because of the heating pad on the massage table, along with the steamer that had been on my face for 20 minutes. I have pads covering my eyes during the facial, at this point somebody came in and sat beside me and started massaging my hands. I thought oh cool, this must be something nice or extra. I felt a plastic bag filled with paraffin wax near me. She dipped my finger tips and it felt warm but OK, then put my entire hand in there. THE BAG WAS BOILING HOT!!! Literally SCALDING HOT. I ripped my hand out Of the bag and couldn't help shed a couple of years while trying to stay calm and not completely freak out. Imagine thinking you are getting a spa day, going in, laying on the most uncomfortable bed known to man, feels like you were laying on straight plywood. Then your time and gets messed up and you can't relax during the massage because your face is being squeezed and poked at. All while sweating because there's heat coming from three different places. I'm pretty sure the woman who came in with the wax was the owner, and she is very very very sweet woman. I know that she meant well and this is probably just an accident, she did try to make up for it by telling me that the first facialist didn't do a good job on my extractions and I spent an additional 45 minutes doing more, which would've been nice if this had all just gone down the way it was supposed to, but at this point I was no longer relaxed, my hand was burning, my body was stiff from the bed and tensing from the extractions. She kept asking me if I was ok which I said I was fine because I wanted to just get the hell out and go home and I dislike confrontation. I woke up and my hand still feels burned. I tattoo professionally for a living. It hurts to close my hand. I will never ever come back here and I would never let anyone I know come back either. I feel literally traumatized from yesterday. I booked two appts over the phone for my boyfriend & I as a Valentine's day gift. On the phone the woman was kind and read back the appt date/time I wanted to me so it seemed all good. Upon arrival, there was no appointment for us. I felt terrible for the very kind receptionist who had to deliver the news to us and informed me that the owner was who I spoke to on the phone and that the day after I had booked she told the receptionist that she couldn't remember my name or where she scribbled down my info. Went in for valentines couple massage and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The front desk lady is so sweet and bubbly she made us feel very welcomed. I had Kim give me my massage it was one of the best massages I've had and I've had plenty. She started and right away told me if it was too hard to let her know, she was awesome. Disappointed I called to schedule a facial with microdermabrasion as they were having a special. I got there and was greeted immediately and took back for my facial. The girl who did my facial I think was named Jennifer. The facial was ehh. Didn't feel good. First off my bf chose this place as a surprise birthday gift, so I was already happy at the fact he chose to do this with me. We literally just got home and I'm writing this bc I had the worst facial. We both got massages with hot stones and it was great no complaint about that. I was so disgusted with the facial I rushed to the bathroom in the salon to wipe my entire face off. The woman that did my facial didn't tell me what her name was or what she was doing. My bf on the other bed next to me gets a full intro and conversation while being told what was being done to him. I checked my emails and this salon sent me a reminder with (I'm assuming) my facial "experts" name, Arlene. So "Arlene" starts the facial by putting something on my face idk what but massages mostly on my chin area. She does this with 7-10 more products repeatedly applying, massaging, and removing with a damp cloth. One of the products smelled so bad I was ready to scream for her to take it off of me, but since my bf was next to me and this was his gift I didn't want to be rude. I especially hated the fact the my bf was getting his black heads removed and had usual facial things done to him while I was just getting slathered with product after product. I've been to massage places all over Orange County from high end $200+ to open room $40 massages (1hr) and I cannot believe how wonderful this massage was with all things considered. First off you never really know what you're walking into for first timers. There are places that had decent reviews but I got there and there were curtains hung up to the ceiling with paper clips! That should say enough but I still went through and laid down on paper, open rooms at the top where you hear everything etc. Anyway this place has it all. I had Tina who is very experienced. The therapists are all contracted. They have bed warmers and completely closed and quiet rooms. She was amazing, worked everything. I got the hot stones ($10 extra) and she used them for the whole massage here and there which most places just do it for 5-10 min only. Also she put the stones in my hands which I loved because my limbs always get cold. She used a eucalyptus cream on my chest and hot towels throughout. And a cream on my face for a great face massage. She worked my glutes which is so underrated. People ask for glute work. You are using your glutes in just walking, get them worked on and most importantly of all you can't be afraid to communicate with your therapist. Let them know exactly what you need in the moment. You will have a better experience. You cannot beat the price for everything that is included . It was truly a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to come back. read more

However, the actual service wasn't great. We got an hour massage + 30 minute body scrub. The massage was just a rub down, with no technique or focus for relaxation. They didn't tell us they only had one shower, so 1 person got a scrub first, then massage, 2nd person stopped mid massage for a scrub/ shower, then continued massage, 3rd person got scrub at the end. I have an event this coming Tuesday and I've been so stress out, my husband decided to gift me a massage session to get me relax and calm .. found out about this place because of Groupon we've purchased and it was nearby. Tried to make an appointment over the weekend but they were booked so I had to come in on a weekday. Location: it was kind of tricky to find this place. My daughter ballet class is in the same plaza so I knew the area but for someone new, I suggested come early! You have to drive out in the parking lot and the spa is located in a secluded inside the building. Came in, nice receptionist, did my paperwork and to be led to a room in the back. But before that there employee speaking so loud in Vietnamese, you can hear all the way out. The spa: small and quiet. Love the smell to get you into that relax and calm mood. But the place seems so outdated. To be honest, I thought I had stepped into a convalescent home. When you're led into the room, you'll stripped down and wait for one of them come in. Nice thing about this place is the bed is heated. Thank God. The massage process. I brought a 60 mins massage and a 60 min facial. So in total 2 hours. So how should I describe this....hmm it was AWKWARD and ROUGH AF .. She came in without knocking, doesn't introduce herself. I had to initiate by saying hi and how was she doing today. She started with the massage first from feet to the top... shouldn't it be the other way around? But hey she's the professional, what do I know? But just make it worth it and enjoy the service. She didn't ask how much pressures I want. 1/3 way through she asked "if that's ok?" I guess. I'm the type that would like to know when a warm/hot item going to be put on my body.. did I get a warning!? Nope! She slapped a hot towel on my back and scrubbed off the lotion etc. oUCH!? This is the last place on earth you want to go. Here is a list that encompasses all the reasons why you ought to take my warning seriously: 1. Last minute rescheduling: The first impression wasn't the best when I was called an hour before my appointment and asked to come in later. Not a huge deal, things happen, but still. They also switched my masseuse, which comes in later in my story. 2. No refreshments: I was rushed right into the massage room. Not even water was offered to me upon arrival. Again, not the end of the world, but certainly didn't add to a relaxing atmosphere. 3. Massage table: When I laid down on the massage table it was hard as a rock. I also wear a size 32C-D so this was actually very uncomfortable to lay on my chest. I was so uncomfortable from this table. 4. Cold Stones: I've had a hot stone massage before which is why I know this one was awful. The stones were warm at best and she hardly used them. 5. Lack of Skill: The lady who conducted my massage was not qualified to perform the services I booked. I feel the right to believe that because my masseuse was switched at the last minute. This lady literally saw my "private areas" because she didn't know how to keep the towel from falling off. That's the degree of incompetence we are dealing with here. She kept saying "oh okay!" in this weird voice each time the towel fell. I was so uncomfortable the entire time. Literally has never happened to me in my 5 plus years of getting massages. 6. Water Boarding: So, I did the Vinchy shower. That was the worst experience of my life. I was washed with my head facing down, she shampoos my hair into knots; she basically water boards me because I still have my mask on and she put a towel near my mouth and nose, and she proceeds to reach under and grab my face and scrubbed my eyes (idk to get the makeup off?). She scrubbed my face with this rough towel so hard it tore some of my eyelashes off- real lashes ladies. On the bright side, now I know i'd survive Guantanamo bay. 7. No Mask: During the shower treatment she asks me to turn over. When I do, I notice she's not wearing a mask. I almost had a heart attack. I have an autoimmune disorder, and I was there because of a physical therapist recommended due to my symptoms. I informed the staff well before my appointment. Did they take note? Nope. They ask you what they can do to make the experience great on this form yet don't listen(?). I'm very sensitive to the cold, and was freezing the entire time. I told them this prior. Didn't listen or care. 8. Flip Flops: So, because it was dark in the massage room; I didn't notice the sandals were worn. If I did, I would have never put them on. It wasn't until the conclusion of my water boarding experience did I notice that it was her sandals I was wearing. At the end of my shower treatment the masseuse took off HER flip flops and kicked them towards me. It was then I realized that she had given me the shoes she had been wearing. This is just straight up unsanitary. I was told by the front desk girl that my masseuse apologized and "didn't mean to make me feel uncomfortable." Uncomfortable? How about unsanitary!!!!!!!???? At the end of this hell, I calmly told the front desk girl about my experience and why I believed that I shouldn't be expected to pay for the 3 hour hell session I just had to go through. She negotiates on my behalf because the lazy supervisor didn't care enough to come out and speak to a dissatisfied client. She literally walked right by me. The best they could do was me paying half. $77 for the worst spa experience of my life. [[[[[[PLEASE NOTE: I gave the owner of this establishment the opportunity to call me back, but she never did. The massage therapist walked out in the middle of my massage and I strongly believe someone new came in as the pressure had changed. 5. The massage therapist(s) we're way to touchy. She has you fill out a sheet where you basically give them some information and you can circle areas that you want the therapists to massage you/focus on.
