I have been contemplating to come for years, and finally have the time to invest in myself after the kiddos got older. This is definitely an investment, more than I expected, however I am believing in the process more and more. I was reluctant at first bc I do keloid easily. Never on my face, more so chest and back. But they reassured and assessed my skin when I had concerns. Krystal and Laura have been very helpful and professional throughout. I have pitting scars and know it's one of the hardest scars to get rid of. I've done a total of 4 sessions and I do get it now that it's more of a marathon than a sprint. I'm not where I want with the results, but I do see after the 4th session that the depth of the pitting are getting filled, and some areas are minimized. Visited this business recently and had a disappointing experience that others may benefit from knowing. I found the business through Yelp and Instagram and was encouraged by the positive reviews. I scheduled an appointment and completed a complimentary consultation. The nurse shared information about the skincare products they sell but was not pushy. The products discussed appeared to avoid harmful ingredients. For my first visit, I chose the Dermal Vortex treatment (similar to a Hydrafacial). However, the service did not meet expectations. The cleansing step consisted only of wiping off lotion and sunscreen. There was no proper face wash or steam preparation, which I have typically experienced at other clinics. When I asked about steaming, I was told it wasn't necessary due to the machine using water, but it later seemed the steamer was not filled. During the exfoliation step, the nurse filled the water in the steamer and turned it on.. The treatment concluded with a brief red light therapy session. When I asked about a soothing mask or post-treatment calming step, I was told that was only included with microneedling. In my experience, most facials include some form of post-care to soothe the skin, especially if the steamer was used to open the pores. The entire session lasted approximately 25 minutes. Payment was requested before the service, and a tip screen appeared at checkout. While the clinic and other services (such as Glow Exfoderm or microneedling) sound appealing, this particular experience did not align with my expectations for a ~$250 treatment. They initially offered me a time but later on said that the appointment was taken, it didn't show up on their end and I agreed to be scheduled later on the same day. --Service-- I arrived at the clinic and was greeted quickly. The door was initially locked as there was only one esthetician managing everything. Before every step of your chosen procedure, you will be informed so you can grasp the concept of what's happening to your skin After the procedure, I was unsure of the aftercare. In my case, I was told to stay away from active ingredients and to use their in house products until the following appointment. --Pricing -- Pricing seems to ONLY be available once you are inside the clinic. There was a bit of a mix up with my understanding and the service that was charged but once they saw my messages, they were able to contact me back and verify the cost of the procedure I got. I came here many years ago, probably 2015. I have always had clear skin, always received compliments. I was never prone to breakouts or acne. I unfortunately went here for my first ever microdermabrasion treatment and immediately afterwards I got acne. Horrible cystic looking acne, I was starting college and I was so embarrassed to be seen especially by friends and family who had always commented on my skin. It last 3 months at least and I was left with hyperpigmentation. It looked worse than before. Instead of a "glow" I was left with brown scars when it healed. I should've said something at the time, it's been so long. But I was young and naive and what could she have done? Given me another microdermabrasion treatment? I'm scared of doing any facial treatments or ever doing microdermabrasion again. This wasn't the "normal" pimples coming up the surface. This was horrendous uncover-able acne. To this days after that instance, I again have never encounter any acne. I don't know if equipment was improperly cleaned or sanitized. I have been searching for a solution for my melasma due to pregnancy for the last 3years and seriously, nothing has worked. I have tried EVERYTHING, and I mean everything. I used hydroquinone on and off for years, prescribed by the derm, and it seriously made it flare up even more. I didn't really know what to expect but the facial was very calming and did not hurt at all. Lexi constantly asked me how I was doing and made sure the chemical peel wasn't too strong for me. They make it clear that to see results, you'll likely need multiple sessions. It's been two weeks since I've gone and I've noticed that my skin is smoother, but no drastic changes. I did get more breakouts after but I've read that this is normal. I've booked my second session so I'm hoping I see more results.
