This has got to be among the worst landscaping companies in the valley! Their work quality is non-existent. They were contracted to maintain the golf course/green space at Rancho Mirage Country Club a year ago. From the moment they arrived, they have cost our HOA thousands of dollars because of their ineptitude. They made unnecessary repairs to an irrigation system that only required a system reboot while at the same time letting irrigation heads go un-repaired allowing them to run constantly for days at a time. When going through the scalping process this season, they piled mounds of clippings in the middle of the fairways. They then brought in zero turn loaders to finally move the clippings all the while chewing up the underlying turf and making deep tracks in the fairway. They never pick up any trash or debris without having to be prompted multiple times to do so. In a nutshell, they are the busiest "do-nothings" I've ever witnessed. Do yourself a huge favor and run away from them if you can. They WILL screw you over and destroy your landscaping! read more

this company has to be THE WORSE,, we are in N. Palm Springs areas and for whatever resasons hoa board refuses to listen to owners paying this over priced place for lousy work, they have an older gentleman who truthfully tries but needs assistance as we have several sections of landscaping block areas spread out; they wont replace him as requested, he is constantly dumping trash and equipment in our common streets so we drive thru ,and cant park in front of our homes or have emergency cars as things happen. he is rude, uses old equipment, not sure if its legal or not, disturbs us at early hours with some blower, pisses off neighbors by cutting their shrubs, swears in spanish, and lawns goes uncut for weeks whle he breaks community properties while mowing, read more

Johnny from GLS designed our yard and we could not be happier. He took time to determine what we wanted and had no trouble doing several iterations to get it perfect. The GLS nursery is fabulous. They have so many great plants that is was hard to choose. Johnny helped us pick so that everything worked together. When it came time to install, everything was done without a problem. I wish there was a zero star option. I have never dealt with a worse company. We hired GLS to relandscape our rather large front and side yards. It was a very expensive project changing from lush to desert landscaping. Thousands of dollars were involved. The design they did was good. The execution was below par. There were plants missing from the original plans and dozens specified to be a certain size yet much smaller sizes were actually installed. The resulting bill was completely inaccurate, requiring hours and hours to reconcile. This company's biggest problem is billing. As a maintenance customer after our installation, we cancelled after a year due to bad performance. They sent me a final bill for $685 they felt owed them. I knew I'd paid in full and said that much. They firmly said I didn't which ended up in endless emails back and forth, hours of gathering supporting documents on my side and guess what? They sent me to collections!!! First time in my life! Finally, I had Bank of America call them to attest to the fact a check I had send for $685 cleared the bank and was indeed as cashed by them. BofA handled it as a fraud case. The absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. Don't walk, RUN, from this horribly inferior company. read more

Workers spend most of their time using leaf blowers. Last week five days a week using leaf blowers. Making noise makes the uninformed think they are working. Actually they are just killing time making people think they are work. Also, spend time yelling to each other. Another ignorant landscape choice by the HOA. read more

I am a full time homeowner here at Palm Springs Villas 1. GLS Landscaping was hired almost a year ago to handle the landscaping. This landscaper is too small to service a property this size. Rarely do the shrubs and bushes get trimmed and there are weeds everywhere. they are required to blow off the upper decks weekly and rarely do that. The property looks worse than when they started a year ago. Weeds everywhere. We used to have grass but now it's primarily weeds now. There are also dead plants and bushes everywhere. They don't even have the decency to pull the dead bush when they see it. Do not hire this company if you want to keep your grounds beautiful. I am a real estate broker and one of the reasons the property values aren't growing with the market is because the landscaping looks awful. All the photos I have posted were taken last week. We hired them for a complete redesign of our front and back yards, desert landscaping the the front, and adding a small grass area to the back yard. When they reworked our watering system to add a couple sprinklers for the grass area, they took the system down from five zones to two zones, and now everything in the back yard gets watered on the grass schedule, which is too much water for the other plants. They had fairly good design work, but the plants are definitely not top quality, several having died shortly after the 60 day guarantee, with more still dying. I feel the plants were just planted in a haphazard manner, and we never did get exactly what we contracted or asked for. Good potential but very little follow through, they failed to show up for weekly maintenance as scheduled. Maybe the project was just too large for them. We would not recommend them. read more

GLS did a fabulous job designing our outdoor space. They had a huge job as they had to rip out all the old shrubs, cut down trees, jack hammer out the old concrete, and install a new irrigation system. Johhny designed a beautiful desert landscape that transformed our property. As we are not familiar with desert vegetation I have had several questions, Johnny has always responded promptly and has come to the house to take a look at plants that I had concerns about. A year ago our HOA had bad landscapers, replaced by GLS. In the past year a bad landscaping job has only gotten worse. Dead grass, weeds, and bushes, leaves and tree pods all over the desert scaping we pay them to maintain, and irregular completion of bi-weekly duties including blowing the deck, which they only started doing once we complained and started taking pictures. After about a month, they stopped again. They planted grass seed then subsequently dug up the grass and seeds to dig (what I assume were) new irrigation trenches, and they walk around blowing leaves and dirt on cars. A bougainvillea bush fell outside our building and stayed down for 2 1/2 (work) days before GLS got around to repairing it. Pretty sure GLS = Get Less Service. read more

We have used GLS Landscaping for approximately eight years and have had the same gardener the entire time. He maintains 40 units on five acres and works five days a week. Our historically designated property contains desert and tropical landscape based on its 1960 mid-century modern Polynesian design. Our property is known for it's landscaping thanks to the gentle care this family owned and operated business has provided for so many years. I wish I could give GLS more than five stars. read more

This Company succeeded in ruining our landscaping here at our beautiful gated community in Rancho Mirage. Fortunately our HOA Board had the good sense to see that they were incapable of managing a project the size of our community and ended their contract after 8 months on site. What can I say: poorly managed and supervised employees, lack of attention to the basics: weeding, trimming and watering. If you can't even do these activities correctly then why be in business? It will likely take several months to undo the damage that has been done here: dead or dying plants, weed infestations, some shrubs hacked beyond belief while others were left to grow wildly. The list of gardening atrocities goes on and on. The company received ongoing and repeated feedback from Board Members and an active Landscape Committee but it seemed like feedback and explicit directions were either ignored or not shared with the team that was onsite. Run, do not walk if you have a chance to work with these people. read more
