I have been here twice, several years apart and both times have been good experiences. They have the best prices on labor and equipment. I plan on always going to GM when I need after market electronics for my vehicles. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! Brought my M500 there to get new cd/dvd/navi/ front screen and two head rests. When I picked it up, 5 hours later than the quoted..one screen didn't work, my dash was scratched and the trim they put on the outside of my new screen looks like it was cut by a 5 year old..and now falls off. My windows no longer rolled down when I touched the button, I had to hold it...and every time I turned off the car the new system would reboot...meaning they never hooked some wires up to the battery. Both my "top of the line" headrest screen are now showing distorted images. (I had this one 6 months ago). After three trips back there I gave up, took the loss and will get the installation repaired by The Best Guys. Every time I took it back reporting another issue, they broke something else in the process. This place is the biggest joke I have ever seen, I will never, ever go here again and will make sure everyone I know is aware of what a horrible establishment this is. I wouldn't even rate it 1 star. I called in and asked if they could do the Remote engine starter on my car and they said "yes" I asked if I was to get there in 30 minutes could they get me in and they said yes. Once I got there I asked again if they could do the remote engine start and they said yes and it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait and that they would have to charge more since my car is a push to start and I said that was fine. Almost 4 hours went by and my car was finally done, I dealt with 3 different people and once I'm getting my keys the guy says "with this button you lock it and this one unlocks it" so I ask "which button turns on the car ?" And he says "oh...we can't add that feature to your car because it's a push to start so we only installed the alarm because you need an alarm" they did not do what I asked for, I had asked if they could do it TWICE and both times they said yes and then once they have my money they tell me that it's not possible to do it!!!! I never once asked for an alarm (my car already has an alarm) they literally just ripped me off and did what they wanted. I had heard great things About this place but I had a horrible experience. I decided to try this store out to get my windows tinted since my brother said he got his from here and that he got a good price and service. I googled them and read the reviews. Read some really bad ones but I still wasn't convince. But before I decided to come here I was referred to another shop that gave a deal for 7 windows tint for $180 ending after that same week(I have proof of this on IG, check them out at Bay Area customs windows tint), so I gave GM Electronics a call to see if they can beat the price or price match it at least. Gave GM a call and spoke to a person named Jayce(after asking him 3 times what his name was). We had a good conversation and both agreed on $180 for 7 windows for the upcoming Saturday. Knowing the other shop was going to end its sale for that week I decided to put my money on GM. A week later I get to the shop and spoke to Jayce(at least he said his name was Jayce when I spoke to him). Before I finished filling out a paper, and even putting my signature on it, I asked him how much the it cost for my car again to make sure. and he checked out my car outside and said $250...in my head I was like "WTF?". I previously had one car window tinted here back in 2014. They were polite and did a really good job considering I didn't have an appointment. So when I bought my new car two weeks ago I decided to take it back to GM Electronics to have all the windows tinted. They were still polite but I am very unhappy with the tint job. There are air pockets, streaks of where they did not straighten out the tint, even particles trapped underneath. I took it back 4 days after to get it looked at again because I was upset. The guy that initially did my tint job stopped me in the parking lot and tried to fix it. He tried. There are still all the air bubbles, streaks, and particles left. The window tint looks like it was cut by a child. It doesn't look like they lined it up or took their time to work on my car. I am still really upset with the work. If the bubbles get any bigger I'm just going to have to take it in for the second time for them to look at it again. They're good people, I just can't seem to justify their tint job on this one. read more

They sold me some items "cheap" so they say! and after they were done I checked around and they sold it to me for more than other electronic stores. I was looking for a speaker that would fit in a custom box i had made for my f150 truck, it needed a special 12 in shallow mount sub Bernie was the employee that helped me out this guy knows his speakers he went out of his way to try and figure out something that might work in my truck he hooked up a speaker and even let me test it out before I bought it. Went in on a Saturday before closing and obtained a quote on my 2005 Audi A4 which I recently purchased. It had an after market deck. Basic Jvc. Upon removal it was a rats nest with twisted wires everywhere the factory harness had been snipped . Did not trust that it was connected correctly so I bought a factory stereo to have the diagram and harness on deck if need be. Had a touch screen pioneer which I didn't have the harness for and finally bought it. Once I was ready I cut everything and went down here. Jairus was his name... he deserves a raise... told me if I wanted my problem and headache fixed 160$ they'd run new wire to the amp in the truck to the center console and wire the new stereo I had up for me. Much appreciated. He asked if I wanted to put down a deposit I paid for it in full. I pulled up the next day at opening and was greated by Bashir. They're working on it right now, also was called to have a interface installed for the dvd feature my stereo has to override having to be in park. Sweet. Pretty good deal I'm happy a days pay for me is worth it to have it done right and no more future headaches. About to go pick it up I hope all went as expected. Luis and Mauricio were very polite and they do good work. They deserve a raise. Bro, I'm getting sick of this weak ass shit. Got my stereo with power capacitor and for some reason I'm having numerous issues. The main thing is, I got my shit installed Black Friday and have been there four times since!... For one they cross wire shit not paying attention but then they don't want you standing around viewing their work. What's the point if u fucking up anyway? I'm just saying. It's a nightmare. You know your shit is fucked off when you hit the alarm button and notice your power cap and amp kick on. Yeah for those of you that don't low electrical, that means my battery is dying or having trouble starting every day. Cross wired! Not to mention they give u a cheap ass entry level 1200 watt HITRON amp (no fan) with max output of like 800-1000watts, shit overheats even with my bass turned all the way down and u know what they tell me? 'Oh it's just entry level, that's what they're designed to do' so I'm supposed to just rock with an amp you know is faulty? That's not right and I shouldn't have to pay for it being that I've bought cheaper shit in the past that lasted way longer. Honestly I wouldn't even bother with this place. Very nice people. Prices aren't bad but the wait... He told me it would be 30-45 minutes I've been here for 2 1/hours. I know Audi's are difficult to work with but don't tell me it's going to be 45 minutes or I'm going to expect it to take 45 minutes. They just kept telling me "it's almost done" when really it wasn't even close. The worst part is that I had nowhere to sit and wait. I had to stand the entire time. They have benches outside but the sprinklers were on so they were all wet. That's not really their fault but it still made waiting so long that much worse. Eventually they were done. But not really. The mounting kit was a little too big so he said he'd order the right one and I'll have to come back. He let me use a temporary one for now but hopefully it doesn't take too long to but the new one in. We'll see how that goes. read more

This store might be cheap, but it also wastes your time: big time. I was told my alarm will be ready in 45 min to 1 hour. I left to do some business and arrive about an hour latter just to find out the installer working in my car was talking to a guy in a pick up (for who knows how long) instead of working on my car. When I told the employees (probably members of the family who owns business) they replied that my car was new. I told them about their 45-60 min promise to have my car ready. They replied rudely they were not McDonald's. I told them the point was the technician not working on my car because he was talking to a buddy. They replied the installers did many things at the same time. I ask them for a discount for the inconvenience, but they refused saying their prices were cheap already (they came up with a 60 dollar additional charge after I had left). If you think your time is not valuable, then you won't have any problem waiting for your car. I've waited for 2 hours and my car is not ready yet. read more

I believe they do good work, had my tint done on my scion tc a week or so ago which has been guaranteed for life, and had two components and two coaxial speakers installed earlier today the work for them have also been guaranteed for life. After Vallejo Best Buy informed me that they " didn't know" the hours of their geek squad radio installation department I decided to explore.Came across GM by reading reviews for another business. GM saw me the same day, customer service was spot on, and I'd trust them to do future installs of simple nature. Thus, the reason for the lack of 5 stars are because I informed them I'd wait at the location until my radio install was complete, which should have only taken 1 - 1 1/2 hours tops. After waiting for 4 hours I checked up on the status for completion and a male at the register said " OH your car is done" no phone call, no informing me in the waiting room, nothing. I asked when my car was complete and he couldn't tell me - response was " I'm not sure " . Secondly, within less then 24 hours I realized my Mic wasn't working on a radio straight out the box. After doing some research I came to the conclusion that maybe it wasn't plugged in. However, after waiting for 4 hours I had faith that a GM tech didn't make a simple mistake of not plugging in a mic. So I decided to pop open the panel myself and to my unfortunate surprise the Mic was not plugged in. To pay full price for a service and have to complete the job myself was disappointing considering I drove 30 min to GM and didn't feel it was reasonable for me to drive back for a fix that may have been simple. For those who aren't comfortable fooling around with their cars this would have been additionally unfortunate for the less confident consumer. So if your looking for a simple job that you just don't feel confident doing yourself from beginning to end go to GM, but make sure you don't drive off the lot until you sit for awhile and ensure EVERYTHING that you paid for is working properly as it seems certain Techs there won't do that for you even though their installing the product. read more

I've been going to gm electronics for years we have had them install 4 stereos in many different vehicles. These guys know what they are doing and do a great install. If they happen to mess something up you talk to them like you would want to be talked to and they will back up whatever they did wrong. I never do this but I went to GM electronics this morning and I expected to just put a stereo on my bike; but between a guy name Jarius and Paul I got so much more excellent service and my bike sounds great. This place is HORRIBLE! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT get any work done here!! I got an alarm put in my truck and I was missing the lock and unlock switch on the drivers side (I told them that before the service and they said it was fine) but after it was installed they told me I needed it now to get the alarm to work. They told me to buy one and they'll install it. So, I ordered a new switch and took the truck in the morning. One of the guys said they were to busy come back the next Moring and ill be the first in line.. So I did... they said it would be about hour.. fine. I come back an hour later and my truck was not touched he then told me 10 minutes.. 20 go by. I'm in the waiting room and find out the other 2 people sitting there were told also they'll be first in line and they have had nothing but problems as well. He comes and tells me I need a diagram of how it connects. He had ME Google the diagram because he didn't want to pay the $60 for Chevy to email him the wiring diagram. He kept telling me to come back the next day.. Why would that make a difference? He just wanted money from the people that wanted work done and was trying to push me aside. I asked for my keys and switch and said I can do it myself then he proceeded to laugh and throw my things on the counter. I ended up just doing the switch myself and the alarm system doesn't even work correctly!! I cant even believe they are still in business! Go to Concord Car Stereo & Tint instead they do great work! DO NOT GO HERE. This place is extremely unprofessional needs to get their shit together. I went here to get a cb radio installed and a speaker for a p.a. system (which they said they knew how to do). After dropping off my car there and getting picked up I called after about two and a half hours and I was told that the instillation guy didn't know how to install it. When I finally got back to my car I found a recite inside with sixty dollars on it basically saying they were still going to charge me. The WORST experience ever on something simple to do. I got HID headlights done on my vehicle. I arrived at 11 on a Sunday and didn't get my work done till closing. Even still I had to stay a whole hour after only to find out the installer did a lazy job and didn't give me my headlight dust caps either. I called and was told to come back. Perfect. I come back and he redoes my lights but this time around he gives me my caps back and doesn't tell me the weather stripping was gone and he had cut huge holes in them without my consent. A week passes and I start to have shortage on my stereo as well as a difficult time seeing at night because they weren't as bright as they should've been. I go in again. THIS time, he breaks off my retainer clips that are there to keep the headlights in place. I'm furious. I tried clicking my displeasure and was told by the owners son that I have to pay for a different install. Absolutely incredible. Terrible service. Never again. And I highly recommend AGAINST giving this place any business. read more
