I've had a very suspicious interaction with CarMax…read more I recently attempted to purchase a vehicle. Despite having pre-approved financing in-place, the dealership staff ("Zak" and "Abdul") still required income verification via Bank Statements as well as my SSN. I provided them, redacted. The next day, I was informed that I could not purchase the vehicle at the location, and shipment to a location near me would be required, a service that incurred additional cost ($1,200). I eventually completed the pre-purchase items via CarMax corporate, and arranged for the car to be shipped to a nearby location. Not more than 5-minutes after completion, dealership staff "Zak" called and read me a pre-prepared statement that they have cancelled the sale and transfer, despite the order already being processed. Further, staff at that location have determined that the CarMax-Garland location as well as all CarMax locations will not do business with me in the future, this decision is final and they (CarMax) are not required to give a reason. I honestly don't know how to respond, other than to be suspicious of this and perhaps other location, especially in regard to data and private information.

My wife & I was Prequalified for a vehicle at our local CarMax of Plano everyone was excellent on…read morepoint and polite @ CarMax Of Plano, The car that we wanted was at CarMax of Garland.... When we left CarMax of Plano the paperwork for car we wanted at CarMax of Garland was complete .... all we needed was to sign a few signatures and read over some documents...... When we arrived at CarMax of Garland , we were directed to business office immediately and was received by a nice young lady by the name of Melissa Huerta. Let me preference this by also saying that me and wife were dressed for the weather , it was cold out so we had on sweats. Mrs Huerta helped my wife get ready for the test drive , we test drove the car everything was amazing !!!! Upon arriving back to the Dealership after the test drive, myself and my wife were approached by Christian Gantes (Sales Associate) which introduced himself and Hawar Gerki (Sr Sales Consultant) Who said absolutely nothing to us about who was period. Then Christian stated that some information didn't come from the CarMax Of Plano, and we need to finish up some paperwork. Mind you , I said before arriving to CarMax Of Garland all the paperwork was complete, all we needed to do was sign for the car and read over everything. Hawar Gerki took my wife to has desk and basically interrogated her asking how she made some much money and literally reran all of her info...including ... job verification (again). At point I get pissed because clearly he is racial profiling us with a smile on his face. Mind you he hasn't stated the reason behind doing this or stated who he is to my wife. 45 minutes goes by he comes back to my wife saying it was a mix up and he is sorry..... all this after the paperwork with the car was complete on our end. Clear cut case of racial profiling. Bright note out this was Mrs.Huerta she was very professionally and needs to be promoted , she went above and beyond even offering to pay for dinner. Now , Hawar Gerki needs to be fired for work place profiling and harassment... completely unprofessional as customer I would never purachase a car from this location because he works there. And I'm going to file a formal complaint against him.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!! I would not recommend Drive Casa to anyone. After…read morepurchasing a vehicle, I was immediately faced with multiple issues. Every time you contact them, they send you to the service department, but the service department lets vehicles sit for weeks or even months with little to no communication and no parts being ordered. The sales team is quick to get your money, but once problems arise, getting help is nearly impossible. Hard-working people spend their money expecting a reliable vehicle, not a car full of problems and a dealership that doesn't stand behind what they sell. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, and I hope others do their research before making a purchase.

This car lot is a complete scam, do not ever do business with them under any circumstances. It is…read morebetter to walk where you need to go than to get caught up with this place. First, YouDrive auto sold me this car and they had me sitting at their car lot all day until right before close and then telling me to uber across town 30 miles to "AutoFelix" that this was the only car that they had available for my $1000 down payment, but don't worry it is an amazing car with no problems, I only have to keep the car 6 months and then trade it in for something else, if there are any problems they would stand behind the car and fix them. Problems since I crunk the car while still on their car lot with their staff already bolting because it was an hour after they closed, that I have been informing them of repeatedly since the next day; - bad battery, they replaced it with another battery that didn't last a month before it too now has a dead cell. - rods knocking in motor due to oil draining straight out, blown head gasket and major oil leaks - this was caused by the wrong dipstick being in the car so long that it is permanently stained with oil showing it was kept 2 quarts over max. - severely out of line (I am now on my 16th tire in less than a year) tires cannot be aligned because one side has missing tire struts. - radiator fan hasn't worked since the day I got the car. - problems with the ignition switch not wanting to start the car. It's like having to turn the key to wind the car up enough that it cranks. - bad 02 sensors causing the car to stall when taking off from parked, or at red lights / stops signs - this drag in acceleration has caused me to be in 3 wrecks in less than a year because of not being able to get outta peoples way when they make a mistake. - bad catalytic converter the car doesn't pass omissions checks and isn't even allowed to be registered in the state of Texas, and it was never supposed to have been sold. - the car only had one brake pad on each side in an attempt to hide the bad rotors. - the car had a coolant leak they used stop leak to hide. I told them months ago I was filing a lawsuit, I sent them a letter of demand; I drove by every car lot and shop they own begging them to fix the problems again and again and again for months now. I finally told them about 3 months ago I would not make a single payment, until a manager called me and we got the problems resolved, that I wanted them to swap the car like I asked the first day I had it when I saw all the problems, they claim they can't because I still owe just over $8,000.. on a lemon. No manager ever called me and nor did anyone else from their three companies to even attempt to discuss the problems. Months later, I get stopped by the police saying the cars registration is expired, hmm I haven't even had the car a year so I called the DMV and turns out this circus show didn't even register the car so it technically isn't mine. And the state doesn't allow you to register the car, it has to be the car lot, and they are saying the car lot that sold me the car went bankrupt yet amazingly the same family owns the new loan company (YouDrive LLC) and Drive Casa, they filed bankruptcy on AutosFelix and YouDrive Auto trying to avoid lawsuits from all the people they screwed over. They have cost me my job because of calling out when the car wouldn't make it to work, and they subsequently cost me my apartment, and everything I owned.. clothes, family keep sakes and photos, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, furniture... EVERYTHING I owned is gone because of this company selling me a junk ass car they legally should have never sold. Well you can't avoid mines the lawsuit was filed before he filed bankruptcy. P.S. yall never had anyone call me about the problems for months now, so yall can jump off a bridge about the payments and quit calling my phone. The car is in Oklahoma on side of the road where the motor locked up, like I kept warning you was going to happen for months. Not my problem, I will see you all in court whenever Dallas county gets off their asses and sets the date.
