I looked for a cleaning service to do our regular once per month house cleaning. I interviewed several services. All of them right around $200. Texas Cleaning Service fell into the middle of the quotes not the lowest and not the highest. I called and spoke with their customer service representative, Tiffany. We had several lengthy conversations. These conversations were very specific pertaining to exactly what we needed, how many square feet in the living space etc. I then asked for a list of tasks as we had discussed. The list Tiffany sent was not totally inclusive of what was agreed upon during our conversations. I contacted her again and Tiffany sent a full list which concisely spelled out what they would have their team do during an appointment. I accepted the proposal. So far very good. Sometime before the appointment a person named Jacob began to get involved. He told my wife he was Tiffany's supervisor. This interaction could have gone one of two ways. After speaking with my wife he had some issues with the terms of the agreement that Tiffany and I had put into writing. That said, after revisiting the terms of the agreement he understood not only the pricing but further the amount of detail spelled out in the agreement and we moved cheerfully on. It's one thing to question things one may come across and another to actually have terms spelled out which protects not only us as consumers but also the vendors. My best advice is that Texas Cleaning Services provided a very good job at a fair but not lowest pricing available along with flexible staff, management and cleaning professionals coming from a point of view best in class service. This does not mean a verbal agreement is enough. Get all vendor agreements in writing. Jacob the supervisor did a good job standing behind their agreement. Irma the lead cleaner is very good, quite competent and we have requested her as our regular lead person. Maria also did an acceptable and the carpet vacuuming had that high pro finish and looked great for her portion of the work. Tiffany worked diligently to work all our needs into a cohesive document. All in all I recommend this company with 4 stars. They did lose a star for questioning the scope of work without reading through every point. That said, Jacob stepped up to ensure the agreement was going to be honored. So alls well that ends well and we are as committed to a long term relationship as we believe their organization is also committed. jc g

Maids arrived on time, they don't speak or understand English, only Spanish. I walked them through the house. The moment they saw master bathroom, the in-charge maid started saying something in Spanish. She didn't see the shower area or the tub by that time, but made a call saying my place needs a deep cleaning, saying the bathrooms are in need of deep cleaning and not regular, asking to charge me some $80 bucks more or so. Happy to pay that if you are either upfront about it, and do the job you say you would. After this, the service was subpar. The maids would lie about cleaning something they didn't even touch, you'd have to call them over and make them clean things (referring to the tops of bed side stands, dressers, dusting furniture etc.). Overall, the service I received was more of a headache than it was a service. After paying $230 whatever, my shower floor still looks the same. The cherry on top - I asked for kid friendly, safe cleaning supplies. Whatever they used, left a strong chemical smell throughout my house that lasted 2 days. Sharing an after picture of the shower floor ( it's a rented house, and these are stains that don't come off, which they decided not to check first but just charge more and leave as is). Feel like I was ripped off.

It was an expensive way to learn I should have trusted the initial opinion, but I appreciate their effort. I guess it is officially time to replace the carpet.

Gmaids is been my cleaning company since day one. I meet the owners back in 2004 when they cleaned themselves. Cute young couple who did everything I needed, they always went beyond the extra mile. The level of detail from dusting to kitchen bathrooms, floors is unequal. Before Gmaids I tried multiple companies that did and ok job, but if you're a detailed oriented person and like high quality service these are your guys. During the last 5 years, I've had two wonderful professional ladies that come every week and take care of my home, whom I have build solid friendships. They've really gotten to know my home and my pets. Previous companies I hired before rotated crews every few weeks. Something that made me stick to Gmaids is their commitment to their crews they're very well paid thus staying with the company for a long time. This is why I love it! I know who's coming every visit and same day and time. I know I could get the service at lower price but for me and my husband, the quality of people comes first, not price. My crew is been with me already 5 years, they have seen my children grow and sometimes watch them if I have to run to the grocery store, something I never expected from a cleaning company. I've known Juan and Karen since they started cleaning in 2004 and I've been using then on and off for the last 3 years. I've decided to stay on a regular cleaning with them. This is what I found makes them different from others: 1. They will do what they promised they will do: The follow a strict checklist that gets done every visit. Their consistency is there on each time, the bathrooms are sparkling white, my floors are clean (no pet hair) they even vacuum my couches underneath the cushions. Consistency, month after month. 2. Pet friendly: They are caring to my dog and the crew seem to know how to handle my loud dog. Extra point for this! 3. Price is fair: They offer me a flat price on every visit so I always know what I'm paying for. 4. Customer support is top notch: The reply to calls or emails within few hours. Jael the girl on the phone is really attentive to details. She sends me an email confirmation with a photo of who's cleaning my house. 5. Safe products and green cleaning is something they are experts on; I don't like to use any clorox or cleaning toxics at home, Gmaids does only green cleaning and this is what I find the most loving piece of their service, they're committed to keeping their customer healthy. read more

I have been using Gmaids once every two weeks for the last year. I tried a bunch of services before them and was never happy. Gmaids is the perfect combination of quality, value, customer service and ease of booking online. I also like their philosophy of paying their employees a good wage plus benefits. Most companies I have used in the past paid barely $10-$12/hr, and when I spoke to my cleaner she mentioned that they're averaging $18-20/hr + vacations. Green cleaning was also BIG for me and my kiddos, I have 2 boys and 1 dog who are constantly in the floor and the use of non toxic floor cleaners was a must, my wood floors smell like peppermint after GMaids leaves, I love it. My old cleaning company would leave a toxic smell that I couldn't stand, not with Gmaids. Price wise, I find great value since, I used to pay a little less for a company that wouldn't do inspections, no online booking and you couldn't get a hold of them on the phone....with Gmaids I get what I was expecting, great communication via text, call, web and the most important consistent cleaning and enjoyable cleaners that have good attitude when they arrive. read more

I have been using Gmaids for 9 years, and have never had any problems. The owners, Juan and Karen have always been friendly and gracious, and have always been flexible and accommodating. This service uses eco-friendly cleaning methods and products--no chemicals. They use "Mrs. Meyers" brand cleansers and peppermint oil, vinegar, and other natural products. I like this because of my allergies to chemicals and also keeping my Grandkids and dog away from harmful toxins in chemical cleaning products. Olivia is our cleaner, and is always thorough and friendly to my pets and guests. We have a very large home, and she cleans it very well with a lot of dusting, hard surface mopping, wood floor care, and vacuuming. Her cleaning is detailed, yet fast. If you are expecting a Pine-sol smell when you enter the house, you will not get that-- just a wiff of mint. This does not mean that the house isn't clean, it just hasnt been cleaned with chemicals. Olivia will occasionally use furniture polish at my request, which I supply. In all these years I have never had any bad experiences with Gmaids or their employees. I absolutely love Gmaids--they make our life easier and our home beautiful! We have had the same team coming to our home for 2 years now, and wouldn't dream of switching to another company. Our team is very thorough, and they're willing to go above and beyond to make sure we're taken care of. We have two large dogs and they were willing to spend some time getting to know the dogs so that we wouldn't have to relegate the dogs to a room for an entire day, or be home for the cleaning team. It's really nice to be able to trust your team, and to know that your home is going to look phenomenal before, say, that big dinner party. :) Both my husband and I work long hours, so it is really convenient to handle our payment, scheduling, etc., online. We have been very happy with Gmaids. Laura is great, always arriving at the scheduled time and leaving our home deep-cleaned and organized. Rescheduling for vacations etc has been very easy and accommodating. We chose Gmaids because they use environmentally-friendly and non-toxic cleaning products, which is a priority for us with a crawling baby and our dog. I was worried that the home would not be as clean using "green" products, but it always feels perfectly clean and smells faintly minty instead of the overwhelming chemical smell of conventional cleaning products. In fact it feels cleaner knowing there are no strong chemical residues left behind, just spotless surfaces. The cost is comparable to or less than other companies, and the green products and excellent customer service make Gmaids a great value. read more

The maid we had working at our home was great. No complaints at all. My issue is with how the company discloses their prices and policies. They are deceptive. For example, I signed up to have two maids clean my house for 3-4 hours per visit. After the first visit (which they knew I would be home for) they sent the two maids as agreed upon. I only found out after a number of additional visits that they had only been sending one maid, yet still charged me for two. Juan...don't do that....it's shady... When I called and spoke with them about it, they took more than a week to get back to me (I had to call again.) They did apologize and said they would be sending two maids, but would not refund any money or offer any discount on future cleanings. Don't steal people's money Juan. read more

I've been so pleased with Gmaids. We have weekly housekeeping by Claudia P and she is the best I have ever found. She is kind and thorough and efficient. We have four kids, one German Shepherd, and two cats so we have a full and busy home. Even when we are home when she is cleaning she never minds. I am pretty particular about things being completely clean and she always sees to everything; she's been cleaning in our home weekly for over a year and she's never missed a step. The products they use are harsh chemical free and safe for our children and pets and they smell so good! I have always been able to chat without delay with the office whenever I have had a question. I've been using Gmaids almost 2 years by now. I originally found them on AngiesList (A rated BTW). They come about every 2 weeks and do all my home, some of the things that I love is being subscribed to recurring service; they show up without me having to call them, also I don't have to leave paper checks or cash they provide autobilling service making me busy schedule a breeze. Juan the owner is very responsive via phone, email and online chat. Once when I was sick they sent me flowers with the team, they didn't have to, but they seem to do things that most companies don't. I started using Gmaids as an emergency type of cleaning, before company of holidays, but I was so impressed with them, and their customer service that I now am on a biweekly schedual. I have been using them for about 3 years now, and have never been disappointed. The cleaning is good, but I think that is to be expected. That is the minimum that you should get from a cleaning company. I will continue to use them because I am happy with the customer service. I have never had trouble reaching them. There have been a couple of weeks where I needed to make a last minute change, and they took care of it without any push back. I have nothing but postive things to say all around. I have been using Gmaids for about 3 years. I have had several maid services over 20 or so years and I have really enjoyed my relationship with this particular company. Not only is my house nice and clean, but Bill and Tara are really great people. My family likes them and my animals like them. (even though one of my dogs is not likable, Bill and Tara puts up with him) The other thing I really enjoy is that I can call Juan at any time and move my appt., or cancel if necessary for any reason. I was so surprised and happy with the service I received from Gmaids. I needed a make ready for a house that I just recently sold and when she came she knew exactly what I needed and started pointing out the areas that she knew would be part of her service . My oven looks brand-new she did a great job on the stove top. The refrigerator just sparkled. She did the baseboards and windows and of course the bathrooms and floors. I had an accident early in the summer and I needed help cleaning my house.. I found Gmaids on yelp and decided to try them. I have been extremely pleased with their service. Sandra cleans our house. She is on time, cleans much better than I can, and she follows direction well. I will sometimes leave a special request for her and she always did it. I have a small dog. and a little concerned if my dog would get along with her. I left my dogs commands for Sandra and she used them. They got along well. It is nice to come home to a clean house. I travel a lot and when I come to Dallas I stay for a few weeks or months at a time, and have little time for cleaning myself. I found these guys on Angie's list and wanted to make sure Yelp had great reviews too. So I gave them a try and we have been very pleased with the consistency and quality. Something I enjoy a lot is that they send me the same person every time. Other cleaning companies I tried in the past told me they won't rotate people but Gmaids has been the only one that has kept their promise. We have been using Gmaids for almost a year and we are so impressed with the monthly cleaning service we receive. Our current house cleaner Yahaira not only does a wonderful job making sure our house is in tip top shape, but she is very friendly as well. I booked the hourly deep clean service. Scheduling was easy online and I got the date and time I wanted with very little back and forth. I received a text the day before to remind me about my appointment. Yesenia texted me the day of to ask if she could show up a little earlier than the appointment time (which was awesome for me!). Booked a deep clean, and was very impressed with the results. I live in an old building, so the cobwebs and dust bunnies easily accumulate, and the place was spotless. Gmaids train their staff very well. They are very courteous, professional, and responsive. They are efficient and complete the work within the promised timeframe. They were great! I am a new client and I called at the last minute needing a full house cleaning because we had some unexpected company coming to stay the weekend. They were able to send someone out in just a few hours and they did a magnificent job. Very thorough cleaning. I have two long haired dogs so there was a lot of pet hair to clean up after, but they got it all. My house was left sparkling and smelling great after a few hours cleaning. I've used Gmaids twice now and am very impressed! So far the service has gotten even better as they've learned my apartment, my preferences, our communication on preferences deepened, etc. In addition to genuinely great service, the business model can't be beat. I don't have people over. It is just me. I still miss it so much as it was so very precious to me. Too, they put the commode lids up, left them up and it was very dirty behind the lids. The bath tub was left unclean. But by golly the floors were clean and my little duck was gone. She brought me to my sink window and pointed out she had rearranged it but I didn't notice the little duck was gone. Another thing I didn't like was they opened my front door and left it open when I have a cat that could have gotten out. For the amount of $$ they charged I feel totally ripped off.
