Beware: Burger will most definitely be smaller than it appears. While they tout the classic American burger as 6oz of delicious angus beef patty, it is in fact lucky if it is even 3 ounces. No Joke. Besides the false advertising, the burger and fries are actually quite good and if you aren't very hungry, it should be pretty satisfying. Though, once you factor in that this lil' burger and fries will run you about $20 with delivery, I find it very difficult to give them any more than 2 stars. It's unfortunate, because if only they didn't cut corners (or their burger literally in half), it really would be a 5-star joint. The good news first. First time ordering - ordered the chicken sandwich and the portobello burger with a side of fries and onion rings. Both sandwiches were immensely tasty although the chicken was a little dry. The buns were a big hit. The fries seemed like they sat for a while but they had good flavor. We will probably order again. On the other hand there the order was almost 30 minutes late. We received an email stating the order was delivered but nobody arrived. Called the store and was told the delivery guy was still there. The food arrived within 15 minutes of the call which is surprising since they are in PS and we are in Kensington. I've been missing out this hidden spot in south park slope and just discovered it today. It's a little hideaway. This place makes some great food. I ordered gnarly eats burger, mighty wings, and beef brisket sandwich. All dishes had the perfection combination of fresh ingredients and flavors. The potato bun was so soft and airy, like clouds, but yet full of flavor. The serving size are decent, super reasonable price. Not to mention, the staffs are exceptional friendly. Live up to its 5 star reviews! The food is incredible especially their buttermilk chicken sandwich. So savory and cooked to perfection. But, what really makes this restaurant is the service. The pulled pork sliders here are hands-down the best pulled pork I've ever had in my life. First discovered this place months ago when I was walking along the block and returned today only to discover that the pulled pork was even better than I remembered - literally PACKED with flavor! Ordered the sliders and a chocolate milkshake to go, and everything was ready in just a few minutes. Worth noting, by the way, that only seconds after receiving my order, I managed to knock my to-go bag to the ground (in my usual clumsy fashion) so that it was completely upside down - to my utter shock, my milkshake and sandwich were still completely in tact when I turned the bag back over. We've ordered the classic burger, buttermilk fried chicken burger, mac and cheese jalapeno poppers, beef brisket, sweet potato fries, and the mighty wings. The classic burger and the fried chicken burger are my favorites. Although it's wasteful, they deconstruct and package every part of the burger separately. It makes a huge difference! Note, they attach a label that says their food is even better when it's not delivered. The mac and cheese jalapeno poppers and the beef brisket aren't my favorite. Although, both are good options, I prefer their burgers. I wish the jalapeno poppers had a bit of a kick; they're extremely mild. The beef brisket is okay, but very messy. The sweet potato fries are awesome! Although I've never had the mighty wings, my boyfriend prefers them over everything else. For nights when I don't feel like cooking, Gnarly Eats pulls through. Parking was relatively easy on a Saturday around 1pm and we were able to get a seat to dine in. The restaurant is small and there are about 11-12 seats in a bar style seating. She recommended the fries and told us they hand cut them and I was really glad that we took her advice. They were crispy and perfectly fried and seasoned. The buttermilk fried chicken burger is amazing!! I recommend it! The fried chicken is juicy and flavorful, and just everything from the pickled cabbage to the Cole slaw in the burger was a good mix.
