Staying for the weekend, didn't have time for a full sit-down breakfast, so we stopped here to see…read moreif we could find anything quick... and sure did! Absolutely scored. BEST selection in Gaslamp for any food need. Quick premade good portion-sized meals (grab and go), fresh fruit and veggies, dairy, canned goods, sauces, chips, crackers, candy, deli, cookies, etc., they got it. Think like a Whole Foods-type bodega market. Fresh pizza kitchen in front (pizza looked really good too!), alcohol, and cigar sections as well. They have healthy, well-known brands too! Best selection in town, truly. The worker was also very nice and helpful. Clean inside.

While in town to catch a Padres game and visit a friend, one of the places I was most looking forward to visiting was RoVino The Foodery, which had always been one of my favorite Italian markets in San Diego. I was shocked and saddened to discover it was gone and had been replaced by Krisp. I went in hoping that, despite the name change, the warm atmosphere, selection, and customer experience I remembered would still be there. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The young woman at the register was friendly and welcomed me when I walked in, which I appreciated. However, the rest of my experience was disappointing. There were three men working on the sales floor, and none of them acknowledged me, greeted me, or offered to help. My presence seemed to inconvenience them more than anything. The store also felt very different from what I remembered. It no longer has the bright, welcoming atmosphere that made RoVino such a special place. Instead, it felt cold, uninviting and the prices were shockingly high! I ended up leaving without buying anything. It's always sad to see a beloved local business disappear, but it's even more disappointing when the business that replaces it doesn't provide the same level of hospitality or customer experience.

I was having some physical problems and feel like it helped heal me in a very real and gentle way. I also really liked the herbal rescue balm for my stretch marks. It felt very soothing and I haven't had as many which is amazing since it's herbal and not made of chemicals. I feel grateful to find a herbal spot run by a local Mexican Woman where things are actually done by her, I've seen her make some products and she's very thorough and sanitary. Along with the fact that all her herbs are organic. I recommend coming in if you're looking for a special quality herbal shop.

We were legitimately excited to check this place out and support a local small business, but…read moreunfortunately had a terrible experience from start to finish. In the end, we paid $60 for merchandise we ended up leaving behind due to the terrible interaction we had with the proprietor. When we first walked in, she was nowhere to be seen. We spent the first five minutes wandering around alone, looking at the products, until she appeared from the back. My friend asked her about her teas and was immediately met with an awkward and abrupt "I'm not a doctor and can't give medical advice." We weren't asking for advice on health conditions; we were asking for some information on the teas she was selling. After a few more awkward exchanges we bought two and left. Five minutes later, two blocks down the street in another store, the proprietor shows up - had tracked us down - to inform us that our two 12-year-old boys had sprayed a couple of the room sprays that hadn't been clearly marked as "testers" even though they were sitting in a row of about 8 other "tester" bottles. She demanded "accountability" and escorted us back to her store, forcing us to buy two of the room sprays that she said had been used. The kids had made an honest mistake, maybe sprayed one spritz by accident from a bottle that didn't have the tester sticker, and now she was delivering a lecture and coercing us into buying two $15 room sprays she said had been touched! So, wanting this whole uncomfortable affair to end, we had the kids apologize and bought the sprays. Half a block down the street, we decided we didn't want to carry any of her bad juju with us, took the bag of products back and left them on the counter. $60 worth of products, down the tube. It was my friend's birthday and this woman had ruined our afternoon. No one should expect to run a thriving small business when you provide obtuse and awkward responses to legitimate product questions and then proceed to hunt paying customers down on the street and demand payment for merchandise that was handled lightly by two CHILDREN. Bad energy, bad customer service. We paid $60 for nothing. We'll never go here again and will tell others not to bother either.

Hey guys, The Big Gorger here. Been away for a while and finally came back to gorging. Wanted to…read morestop by Boneys after a lovely day at the beach. Went to the deli section to place our order and can I ask a question. Does it really take 30 minutes to make a sandwich? It seemed like the workers were working at snail speed. Everyone had a stank look on their face and looked very unhappy. Not saying you have to be bright at the job but it felt very off putting. After standing in line like we were at in an amusement park, finally got our sandwiches sat down and enjoyed them very much. The Island Baja has the perfect amount of ingredients in the sandwich, tasted so fresh and so delicious. The tomato, cucumber, sprouts, baja mayo sauce, avacado and chicken was such a good combo and it wasn't to filling which is perfect. Mrs. Gorger got the tuna sandwich and I personally don't like tuna but that HIT the spot. It was very tasty. Overall, food was amazing and would definitely go back there again. Just be prepared to wait awhile unless you call it in. Best, TBG (The Big Gorger)

Always look forward to buying a deli sandwich during my lunch break but just for them to take my order takes them at least 10 minutes! Mind you, I only get a 30 minute lunch break. And the prepping time takes them 15 minutes! That's already 25 minutes wasted of my lunch just waiting for my sandwich. Today I order a Turkey Wrap. Took them 5 whole minutes for them to take my order and a whole 10 minutes to make my wrap. There was no line for sandwiches except an order of two sandwiches but all I saw were the workers chitchatting amongst each other instead of prepping (hence doing their job). Got my wrap and paid which took less than 2 minutes. While eating my wrap I noticed that my wrap didn't even have turkey in it. Headed over to the deli to see if they could make me a new one but immediately turned around because their workers were just chitchatting with each other and there was already a long line of people waiting on their order. Just went to the cashier to ask for my refund. Didn't even take a picture because I was already so disappointed and frustrated that I just wanted my money back. I really do hope that the deli service gets better.

If you're looking for the best supplement store in Chula Vista, this is it, no question…read more I've tried multiple supplement shops around Chula Vista and San Diego, and most of them feel the same overpriced products, basic advice, and employees just trying to make a sale. South Bay Supps is completely different. This is the only supplement store near me where I actually trust the recommendations. Whether you're looking for protein powder, pre-workout, fat burners, recovery supplements, or even guidance on performance and cycle support, he takes the time to explain what actually works and what doesn't. For anyone new to fitness, this is hands down one of the best places to start. He'll walk you through exactly what supplements you need and help you avoid wasting money on things you don't. For experienced lifters or bodybuilders, this is where it separates itself from every other fitness supplement store in San Diego. The level of knowledge goes beyond basic products, he understands performance, recovery, and how to actually optimize your results. I've gone in thinking I needed a full stack, and instead of upselling me, he told me what to cut out and why. That level of honesty is rare in this industry. Every time I leave, I feel more dialed in and confident in what I'm taking. On top of that, the customer service is always top tier friendly, welcoming, and no pressure at all. He also supports the military, which I respect a lot. I recommend South Bay Supps to anyone in Chula Vista, San Diego, or anyone searching for a reliable supplement store nearby. If you're serious about your fitness goals and want real guidance, this is the place to go.
