My son paid $9,000 for what we were told was a rebuilt engine. That is a major investment, and we trusted that the job would be done correctly. Yet only 3 months later, the car is already back in their shop, and now they're claiming it suddenly needs lifters for another $1,500. There is absolutely no reason a rebuilt engine should need major internal repairs this soon -- unless the original work was incomplete, incorrectly done, or not the rebuild we were promised. A reputable shop stands behind its work. If you charge $9,000 for an engine, you should honor the repair and fix whatever issue was missed or caused by improper workmanship -- without trying to charge the customer again. Instead of taking accountability, they're trying to add more charges to a problem that should have been handled the first time. This is unacceptable. I am warning others to be extremely cautious with this location. Get everything in writing, ask questions, and don't assume the job will be done right. As for us, we expect them to stand behind their work and repair the issue properly, at no additional cost.
