I've been taking my car there for years. Newer cars that were no longer under warranty, cars as old as 2001 and cars with over 200,000 miles. When I was going to take a long driving vacation, I will go there at times to have my car inspected. I've had cars that have needed over $500 worth of work, cars that Ali has said it was just something minor and charged me $20 to fix and cars that he said it really weren't worth fixing. I've never trusted a mechanic so much in my life. I've even taken used cars there to have him check them out before buying them. I recommend every take their cars to him. This review probably sounds like I'm a relative, but I assure you that I'm not. If you're looking for a good, honest, fair auto repair shop you don't have to look any further! read more

I'm a Certified Master mechanic from the 70s and 80s but getting too old to do my own work. I brought my truck in to have a new radiator put in. Pick my vehicle up and discovered they had not put back any of the air deflectors that direct air into the radiator and keep it from bypassing the radiator. In days past it didn't matter and most Vehicles didn't have these. But this truck is made for Towing and absolutely needs them to maintain proper cooling. The owner, Ali, tried to tell me they weren't really required and I immediately challenged him on this. I insisted they be put back on and Ali did not give me a hassle (when he probably figured out I couldn't be bamboozled). In all fairness the aftermarket radiator did not have the exact same configuration so some of them could not be put back on. but the main one, on the bottom, was crucial. He found it in the laying in the shop and I discovered the mechanic who worked on it ripped the mounting holes to the point they would not hold the push clip (in his haste to get the job done). Ali installed an oversized head push clip but I knew it would not hold and in fact it didn't. I took about a 15-mile trip around town and discovered it was just hanging loose and ineffective. I had to repair the airfoil and reinstall it properly myself. Bottom line - while I've been taking my vehicle here on and off for years and recommending Global Car Care to many people I'm not sure I will do this again. THEY ARE NOTHING SPECIAL when judged by one of their own peers. I even pre warned the write-up up man, who knew I was a mechanic in days past, that I was fussy and that I wanted a good job. Apparently it doesn't matter. Only money matters. I had hoped they would work on it as if it were their own vehicle but this was simply not the case. VERY DISAPPOINTED. In the days that I was actively wrenching as a mechanic I fought this attitude constantly. People were concerned that they would not get the very best job possible. Talent and state certification is one thing but actually carrying to work on your vehicle as if it were their own is quite another and don't expect it from Global Car Care. read more

1 star is to much ! Don't let Ollie check you vehicle. My bestie talked me into having car towed there. Was stuck in park. Ollie told me I needed a trans. I told him I would be having it towed back home. He said he had a buyer for it almost in same breath! Got it back home had a co worker look at it and he had it fixed under 50.00 dollars. Very honest guys, won't screw you over. Old school - just write the problem down on a notebook page with your name and number and they call you when they get to it. My boyfriend moved here and I told him to take his car up there when he had an issue. He was expecting a $1,000 repair, it was $159. He was so impressed. Took my car in at 8:45 without giving them any notice and it was done by 1. I was only charged $20 for something any other place would have probably charged me $100 or more for. Stopped in for an estimate on an exhaust repair. Dave got me right in then showed me the problem and what he wanted to do. I was a little leery about trying a repair place without a referral, but after watching several satisfied customers come through (some appeared to be repeat customers), I felt good about having the repair done. I didn't have any other estimates, so I don't know how great the price was compared to others, but it seemed fair to me and I left satisfied. I would not hesitate to return if I need any more repairs done. read more

I have been going to GCC for almost 20 years after being recommended by a guy who repaired my A/C in my car. I trust them implicitly. They charge a very reasonable price and will not try to pull the wool over your eyes. If the problem can be multiple causes, they will be honest with you if they think there's a possibility that a fix may not solve the problem and will suggest you go to the dealership who will have more sophisticated diagnostic equipment. Because they are so popular (and swamped), it sometimes takes much longer to fix something than it might going somewhere else which is a con but if I have to pick my poison, I pick waiting for honest, reliable repairs vs fast and dishonest/poor quality. I know Dave better than Ali but both men have been great to deal with. Dave is the salt of the earth and I'd trust anything he tells me without question. I've never had a bad experience here in almost 20 years and have recommended them to many people. read more
