Livernois Automotive is truly a life saver! I was on my way driving to Michigan (from Virginia) with my children when my "check light" came on. (Just a week before, I had had an issue with my timing belt that would cause my car to stall while in the middle of driving - how horrifying is that when you have two young kids in the car driving 500 miles! - I had taken it back to my dealership because I anticipated this long trip, and they supposedly fixed it after an exorbitant bill.) Now, here my car was acting up again and it was in the middle of the pandemic, so many shops were closed. I contacted Mike, the owner of Livernois Automotive and explained to him my situation. He was very empathetic and told me he had a lot of appointments but that I could bring my car in that day. Because I have a lot of high risk medical people in my family, I was concerned about going to a shop during this time, and he handled it professionally and took the appropriate measures to make sure that I was very comfortable with coming into the shop. I REALLY appreciated it. He found out the problem within a few hours, fixed it, and I was ready to go on my trip! Rich Bricker I have a 2008 f 150 with a 5.4 triton engine 4 wheel drive, the check engine light was on showing me a code for Knock sensors, me being a mechanic for many years decided to change the sensors, I had no idea that it would be a very hard job. so I tackled it when I got done , I got other codes and repaired those also in the end the engine came up with a loud noise. after checking out everything that I new to check. ( I have mostly been a heavy construction, and heavy truck mechanic for the most part ) I could not find out where the noise was coming from. So I took my truck to Livernois auto/ Mike and his crew found the problem quickly so I left the truck in their more than capable hands. and they fixed it quickly and for a very reasonable price. I have had mike at Livernois, repair things for me before and have always found them to be very good at what they do also very pleasant and courteous. they do good quality work and are very honest. Our car broke down miles from the Livernois Automotive Repair Shop. The shop owner Mike was amazing and agreed to tow our car to the shop to be repaired. Mike stayed in constant communication with us and went above and beyond in every aspect. He let us know exactly what was wrong with the car and what needed to be fixed. It is amazing to find someone to work on your car that is so trustworthy. Mike, is friendly, knowledgeable, and repaired our car super fast. Mike even gave us a few extra days to make our payment for the repairs. I can't not say enough great things about this shop. I was driving to St. Clair Shores and my car stopped being able to go into drive, it would only go in reverse. I had my car towed to Livernois Automotive in Taylor. He is the most honest business owner out there. He first thought it could have been the transmission and gave an estimate of between $1600 and $2200! He said he was going to look at something else. He was able to find the real reason the car wasn't able to go into drive and fixed it for $517!!! Other garages would have saw an easy way of charging thousands of dollars. This was my first time using Livernois Auto. I can honestly say I will never go anywhere else. Mike was amazing and so helpful. I had my vehicle at Feldman and just kept getting the run around, they even lost my jeep, so I called Mike and he talked me through everything and helped me get my Jeep to him and get it fixed. Feldman told me my only option was a brand new engine for $6000. Mike looked over the Jeep and found out that it was something else and fixed it for under $300.
