Simple flooring order. They came out to measure and came up with a number that was way higher than the actual measurement. We had it remeasured by a real contractor to verify. Then ordered the amount of material needed per that contractor. Go Green added in 2x the standard overage. They seemed miffed that we did not hire them to install the product based on their over the top labor estimate. We picked up the material, had it installed and sure enough, they included double the standard overage. After the install, we had several unopened boxes to return to them, and they refused. The owner is arrogant and belligerent. Just the opposite of a good business model. So much for supporting a local business. Shop elsewhere. read more

TLDR: 2.5 stars for this business is 2 stars too many. This place is terrible. You should literally go anywhere else to buy carpet. Buying carpet sucks, it is a total black box of information. Our journey began in June. We found a carpet that we really liked, but it couldn't get delivered and installed in our time from the business we were working with. Enter Go Green: Our encounter with Go Green started with Daniel Champion, a "Sales Executive" who seems to lack any semblence of intelligence. My girlfriend was able to thoroughly confuse him by asking on the availability of more than one carpet. Apparently, Go Green's business model is most effective if you come in knowing exactly what you want and don't need a lot of information. Fortunately for them, WE DID. We found the EXACT same carpet we had identified elsewhere. We had been quoted at the previous installer $4500. Go Green told us that it would be $4500 JUST for the product, that it doesn't include install, but they also could not confirm availability of the carpet until the measure. We told them we were okay paying their exhorbitant price, if they could get it installed by X date. We had to work with Daniel, there was no choice. My girlfriend asked Brenda in a conversation prior to measurement if we had to work with Daniel, and she said "yeah, basically" Friday comes, the owner's (Brenda - more on her in a minute) son, Shane, comes to do the measurement, and just like Daniel, seemed irritated that - since they could not confirm our first choice carpet availability - my gf wanted to know about other carpet availability options (because we need something installed by X date). We call Daniel back on Friday evening, ready to put in our order (quoted at $8000, that is $3500 more than the previous quote for the same carpet) and we tell him that we want to know the estimate with a Rubber Pad (which we know they offer, because we held it in our hands in the store, and talked to Daniel about it). Daniel said that they did not have Rubber Pads (wrong) and that he was very impressed with their Healtier Choice Memory Foam pad (who cares?). We tell him we will come up to the store in Boulder (40 minutes away from where we live) the next day to show him the Rubber Pad. We show up and Daniel has not updated any estimates, remembered nothing, and still cannot confirm the availability of our first choice carpet (he was "pretty sure"), and EVEN AFTER WE PICK UP AND SHOW HIM THE RUBBER PAD, he still couldn't figure out how to give us an updated estimate, he was thoroughly confused. Thank god that another sales consultant was at the store, Sherri. She was able to actually get us numbers so that we could actually place our order. We felt better when she apologized and told us that she would let the owner (Brenda, again) know. The experience was so painful though, and we had to concede on a different carpet. So, we see if the carpet we had to get from Go Green was available elsewhere. It is. We call Go Green back on Monday and now, we get to talk to Brenda again. Brenda was upset that we were considering going back with the other carpet place since THE ONLY CARPET THEY COULD SELL US WAS NOT EVEN THE ONE WE CAME IN TO LOOK FOR!!! THEY COULD NEVER GIVE US THAT AVAILABILITY. She told us that we obviously were only concerned about price, and that Daniel is just "new". If we were only concerned about price, we would have gotten out of this circus right away. We continued to engage because we were willing to pay ALMOST DOUBLE, if they could get the job done. The worst part about working with them, was how difficult and terrible everyone (except Sherri) was to work with. This place should not even be in business. It is gross. If it is this difficult to ORDER the carpet, who knows what their installed product experience would be like. Shop anyhwere else. read more

Incompetence from start to finish: a headache of a buying process + a $450 plumbing bill. The experience started out nice enough with a seemingly friendly staff. However, as soon as we started ordering things it quickly became less than impressive. Confusion at every turn. No real explanations or guidance on flooring. The staff became incredibly difficult to get ahold of, and when we did speak nothing was accomplished. Once the carpets were finally ordered they had 2 contractors come out to install them which was broken up into 2 visits because some material was backordered. On visit #1, the contractor put a nail through a water pipe when reinstalling the baseboards. This resulted in water gushing from the walls and the basement ceiling. We had to get a plumber out here which cost $450. After going back & forth with the owner and the contractors, no one took ownership or attempted to make it right. They pointed fingers at one another and refused to reimburse the damages. In the end, the contractor slipped me $100 bill - "the best he could do". On visit #2, they installed carpet in the final bedroom. When we returned home the room was a mess - loose carpet pieces everywhere, baseboards chipped, and they very intentionally covered our floor vent with carpet, preventing any cold air from entering the room - a final parting gift. Word to the wise: stay away. My wife & I wanted to support a local business but this is not the place. read more

We were introduced to Go Green Flooring through the Handmade Homemade Market. We were interested in putting cork into our kitchen. Jerry one of the owners, after many cancellations finally made it to our house to show us some samples. After looking at the samples we chose a pattern. When it arrived, it was too dark for our liking. So we drove up to the Boulder office to return the cork. Which Go Green said it would be better if they tried to sell it instead at a discount because if we returned it we would have to pay for shipping and a re-stocking fee. We were fine with this option. In between all this we were dealing with Jerry, who is a very nice man but is very bad at returning calls and totally overwhelmed. Unless we were pro-active and calling every week we definitely would have fallen through the cracks. Margie was great she was their saving grace. Had we not spoken to her our experience would have been horrendous. We ordered new cork and the wait started... we waited 3 months until finally after calling for the 5th time (did I say I was calling in weekly?) they said it was finally on the way. I have no idea what took so long. The cork we were selling? 3 out of the 5 boxes got sold but it took us once again many calls to get our refund. With 2 boxes left and not wanting to deal with this company anymore, we took the cork and just sold it on craigslist ourselves. It is family owned business which we always love supporting, but they have no systems in place and Jerry over promises and under delivers. We were disappointed in the process and would definitely not recommend these guys. I do have to give a shout out to Randy Roach (not associated with Go Green Flooring) who installed our cork floor. He did a great job and you can also order the cork directly through him. Have no idea the cost but would recommend Randy in a heartbeat 720-290-3210. read more

Besides the customer service being atrocious, they are not knowledgeable on the "green" products they carry. I worked with Sheri and Jerry (owner) for some carpeting. What impressed me most about these folks was their honesty and no-pressure ethic. I went to the store to return their carpet samples and asked them to place an order and Sheri actually stopped me. I had mentioned that I'm sensitive to chemical smells, so even though I was ready to hand them my money Sheri said wait a minute let's discuss further because I'm not sure if you'll be happy. Turns out, I would've been unhappy with that one (this one wasn't a wool / no VOC carpet). Jerry came to my home to do a measurement along with one of his staff members Jose. What friendly guys, the type of good folks you'd want to have as neighbors. At one point I even walked completely from the sale after all their work and multiple quotes and warranty research, etc., because I needed a good bit of time (a month or two) to reassess. Zero pressure or bitterness from these folks, and that's exactly the type of moment when you know what kind of people and what kind of business you're dealing with. I should also mention for review purposes that I did cross per-yard cost comparisons with two different Carpet Exchange stores (because the first Carpet Exchange store's guy was absolutely clueless about the Karastan carpet I was using for comparison) and Go Green was cheaper (and they could tell you all about it). Go Green being in Boulder vs. Carpet Exchange being a big chain and in Thorton and Westminster, this price difference in Go Green's favor actually surprised me. read more

They lost a page of our measurements so the price we agreed to pay only covered one room instead of two. They did give us some discount on the product but at the end of the day, their mistake cost us a few thousand dollars and extra time and stress. The installer told us this happens all of the time. They were helpful with our carpet choice but ultimately I believe their lack of organization will inconvenience future customers. read more

Jerry and all of Go Green Flooring did a super job of helping us transform our home. We did new wood floors and carpeting throughout and the entire team was wonderful. The teams were efficient, professional, and worked long, hard hours in our home. They did a beautiful job installing our carpet and were flexible when we had to make a few last minute changes to the wood flooring. At the end of the day, the BEST thing was that Go Green was able to meet our specific installation date, and the installation even took place on a Saturday! We were on a critical path, and they worked to meet the deadline. I also appreciated that I was allowed to check out an abundant number of samples, which helped in my decision making. I was looking for an alternative to other local carpet providers that were unresponsive and not knowledgeable about their products. Go Green is a comparatively small showroom, and I am not sure if that was a good or bad thing! I had seen a Karastan product that Go Green didn't carry, but in the end, I am very satisfied with the selections I chose! read more

We are happy with the end result -- they are nice people to work with and were extremely responsive to our budget. However, they did not volunteer important information -- like how the sub-floor and appliance height affects installation costs or how a tile pattern affects the cost of material and installation. I'm sure that's all obvious to contractors or people who have done it before, but we were neither. Ultimately, the subs we worked with were fantastic, but one crew gave us bad information that caused us to suspend install until we had a second opinion. That's when the very good installer was sent and the results were good. They are good people who work to do the right thing. I had a very very unpleasant experience with Go Green Flooring. Margie is responsive and nice when you are purchasing product from her but her follow through and handling of problems is miserable. In addition to the poor customer service, there were several missed appointments without consideration to let me know appointments would have to be rescheduled. Jerry is also very nice up front but doesn't have the common courtesy to return phone calls or emails. He did not professionally handle issues with installation. Brenda, his wife, is equally lacking in interest to provide quality customer service. I was hoping to support a local company but the experience with Go Green was very very negative. In addition, they are not the best deal in town. They will "match" prices but certainly don't offer the best deal they can up front. Buyer beware stay away from these guys They act like they're your best friends, while charging you top price and then turn around and deliver very poor service and lame excuses in return. We hired them for a simple job and they totally messed up the installation and caused damage to our house. Bad experience with them they take no responsibility for their mistakes, delays or damage done to your property. Instead of taking responsibility for the damages they caused they are threatening to sue us because they claim we still owe them a few hundred dollars. This is after we already paid them over $5,000. Be very careful with these guys, I spoke to a few local contractors in the area and unfortunately found out they have a reputation of dirty business practices wish we would have know beforehand but hopefully this post will save someone else from having to go through a similar experience with these guys. Go somewhere else! They gave me an outrageous quote for a 5x6 room for linoleum to be put down. The estimator (who contracts with this business) told me. $200 for the product and $65 per hour to install. When the contractor turned in the paperwork and I called to get the official quote it was outrageous!,,,, more then four times what the contractor told me. When I expressed my shock, the sales rep was totally put out. I'll make sure I steer my friends far from this group. read more

Came and did 2/3 the job and left us with carpet tacks sticking up all over the floor and in an entry way. As all likely legitimate reviewers on this site, I give them a one star and would give them a zero star if possible. Again, as the others, avoid these guys at all cost. I wish I had looked them up before going to them! Very suspicious that the only reviews are one stars and 5 stars, eh? I have literally never done a review of anyone in my life, but just hope this saves someone. First, the owner (Jerry) is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He seems really friendly but he is a liar and a cheat. I purchased carpet from them and to save the details, it was a disaster, the manager said they would remove it and give me a refund. Sounded good and accommodating on paper. Then, after many many calls and back and forths to get this replacement done, and 5 months later (to the day) I FINALLY got it to the point of something happening, but was informed that I would have to pay full price for replacement!! Even worse, he said he through out the new carpet and wool backing that was in my house for 2 days (yeah right) and then directly lied and said he had asked me if I wanted it but I had told him no, so he tossed it. Like I wouldn't have sold brand new $5000 carpet if he had told me that! Almost couldn't believe the deception here, but also all along the process. My family lived on basewood sticking our feet with staples for 5 months to get this replacement, like we would have done that if I had though it was not refund, I could have called anybody and got it done in a week. Side note, as per Jerry directly, they changed their name to "green" to accommodate boulder (their words) and his has a background in the chemical carpet industry. He has NO interest in being green, its just a scam to generate more profit and its working unfortunately, as I saw lots of people in there being snookered. Please, for your pocket book and for the environment, go anywhere else but here. As one other reviewer noted, he is versed in litigation and plans everything for that inevitability, which this is likely going to go to unfortunately. All I wanted was to get it replaced, which any reputable business owner would have gladly done (and his manager said they would do). read more

Go green and all their employees were completely unprofessional and rude. Our office building was re-carpeted with carpet tiles and rubber stair tread. The job took a month longer than anticipated and was done very poorly. The installers kept our keys, didn't show up when they were supposed too, and did an overall poor job. After 6 weeks the job was finally finished to their standards even though it was supposed to be done in two days. We called to voice our concerns and two weeks later Jerry showed up and and asked to be shown the areas we were unhappy with. He then told me I shouldn't be so picky and that the work they did was much better than we had. I was absolutely baffled that a business owner would say that the mediocre work they performed should have been accepted by us because of what we had prior to Go Green ripping it out. He then proceeded to start screaming at me and I had to ask him to leave our building. He then sent out Brenda who was equally rude and indifferent. We had three other companies come out to give us a second opinion on their work and all three said the rubber tread was done horribly and the carpet work was less than ideal. We still haven't had any work fixed. Terrible company, even worse employees. read more

I love these people! Both Jerry and Margie were very helpful to us when ordering cork flooring for our business. Jerry is hilarious--the southern accent along with his sense of humor made for a good overall experience. In addition, they went out of their way to make sure our cork flooring was delivered immediately and that we were satisfied. I question the one review that gave them only one star--was that another company trying to push their services instead? My husband and I will go back and support go green flooring in a heartbeat. Jerry was so appreciative that we chose them, he told us several times. He also answered all our questions. He is all about cork, and now we see why! It's an amazing product and sustainable too. He answered our questions about rugs too, and showed us the beautiful rugs they have. By the way, their prices were very competitive and surprisingly better than one larger flooring place we went to. Overall, I would definitely recommend them. The service, the communication, and the work they do is great. read more

After a rather rough start with a salesman who has since been let go, Sheri took over our order and was very attentive and helpful. We had a unique request for a curved section of Coretec which was a challenge to create, but Sheri worked with the installers to come up with a plan and the end result is beautiful. An even bigger challenge was finding a transition strip that would bend with the Coretec and stick to the concrete floor. It took 3 tries, 3 different types of adhesive and 2 different transition strip materials, but Shane the installer was determined to find something that worked and deserves 7 stars for his attention to detail, his workmanship ethic and his perseverance in solving the problem. We were not charged for any of the extra trips he had to make to our house, or for the new transition strip that was ultimately used. We recognize that we were asking for something very unique and problematic, and we really appreciate the time and effort Go Green and Shane put into making it work. read more
