Had an amazing experience with a first time kart rider today, my son who is 4 loved it. Don't let the looks of this place deceive you. Location just off the freeway looks sketchy, but if you're focused on riding, this place is a blast. They have six, well designed tracks. Karts are a bit old, but do their job. More exciting is they have quicker karts on two of the long tracks for you to ride with proper gear (helmets required). Inside arcade could use an upgrade. Some games are in need of repair. Got invited here a few months ago. All workers were on their phones looking bored no one attending us we only went on one ride and then left . Person I was with asked for a refund never got one , contacted the bank they said they were working on it and said go kart was refusing . Go kart lied and said that they didn't receive anything . Despite the spiel you receive when entering the park regarding a requirement to wear masks and how this will be enforced, the majority of people have noses or full faces exposed (members of staff included). Additionally there is no enforcement of line spacing aside from the occasional piece of tape that is ignored by most patrons. To top it all off when my go kart had maintenance issues (which is now clear all the karts do) a staff member was reaching into my kart with his face within a foot of mine unmasked. Regardless of him masking when I asked he was still wearing a gater which the CDC has deemed ineffective. I would not return even if I was fully vaccinated. Response to comment: While I am appreciative of the additional measures you put in place, and I understand how it difficult running a business may be during covid. I don't appreciate being told I am lying, and refusing to acknowledge a problem that numerous people have reported on as well. If you would like to provide me with an email address I could happily attach images of patrons not wearing a mask. This is in addition to the multiple people I asked to have pull their masks up around me that I didn't photograph. I noticed on replies to other reviews you said "employees wear face shields," this was not the case. I have a photo of an employee 1. Not wearing a face shield and 2. Walking past two women not wearing their masks and not saying anything to the women. In response to your comment on yelp that I had a couple of my friends post reviews. That wasn't the case, however, the fact that multiple people have posted reviews clearly represent that I am not the only person to have experienced this. Looking at other reviews of the facility on both yelp and google I noticed that any criticism towards the facility are blamed on the reviewer lying rather than ownership of the mistake. Why? 1) The customer service where you purchase tickets is horrendous 2) The go karts are in terrible shape. Old and beat up. Beat up I understand. But the seats, the interior and the exterior are awful. 3) Rules are not enforced. There was a group of wild kids there the day we were and they were deliberately banging into us side and rear. The guys running the track did nothing. Very dangerous. The rules are posted but not enforced. 4) We bought a 2 hour pass. You get to go around 3 times then get out of the cart and get in line and wait for your turn to happen. So in 2 hours you may get to go around just a few times, depending on how busy it is. read more

My son had his 8th birthday party here and it was a HUGE success. Angelina was so helpful and accommodating in the days leading up to the party making the booking and reservations easy and stress free. The kids LOVED it. A totally different and unique birthday celebration venue. We ended up buying 12 90-min wristbands and 4 individual ride tickets ($9 each). Most kids at our party got to drive three different tracks on their own and a few kids rode one track with their grown up. The place could use a little sprucing up but the painted characters on the walls and all the photo ops they provide add to the charm of the place. A lot of parents were very impressed by this hidden gem of a party spot and were telling me their kids are now asking to have their party at Go Kart World. Dismissed my groups concerns and we were only able to go on one ride the entire 4 hour wait. Despite patiently waiting, other groups were given priority just because they complained about having to wait too long in line. Worker refused to give me their name, and they were working with a Brian. On top of that our group experienced numerous injuries and bruising due to the lower than necessary safety precautions. This review is for the super track. Customer service 1 star: I took a group of kids. A couple of them had NEVER been go karting before and they're middle school and elementary school aged. There were no rules or instructions given. The girls pressed on the gas and I asked the guys if they had in their seat belts or knew the rules (green light, yellow light, red light and NO BUMPING). The answer he gave was no. The girls ended up crashing into their stopped sister and their response was "One more crash and you guys can't come back". I responded with, "They are literally saying they don't know how to stop. That's because you never explained it to them and some how it's their fault?!". To add, one of the girls cars stopped. The guy got upset with her about it. The same thing happened to one of our other young youth and that's why he never went back to that ride. It was so off putting to experience them on our first course. ---- The only thing that has this 3 stars is the bathrooms were clean and the other attendants at every other course were EXCELLENT! The kids noticed immediately and kept going back to those courses repeatedly. I especially loved the basic course directly to the right of the ticket booth. That's a relaxing course and the attendants are great. The middle course was our groups favs so shout out to those guys as well! We arrived close to 10am and had no issues with parking. There also was a man standing at the entrance/exit who kindly gave my coworker directions to an area that had plenty of food options for the youth! Thank you for having more pleasantries than dissatisfaction. Still, had the super track crew been proactive in their role, the entire experience could have been gods. read more

Yes I am rating this perfect because it was the perfect place to have visited with my little daughter. We were the first in so she felt very safe and zero anxiety... was not greeted but that did not take away from the overall visit and experience. No no no. Arcade was filthy!!! I mean filthy. There were no open restrooms! I don't know where they thought guests would go to bathroom. The snack shop was also not open. Arcade choices were super outdated and few. They had a lot of the claw ones that were so obviously rigged to not catch a darn plushie or ball or anything. The price of rides was ridiculous. Bumper cars was closed too. Each ride is about $9 for a 45 second to a minute experience. I have no idea how they still have customers, although they didn't have many and I can see why. Completely ruined my experience. The car I had was super slow and had terrible handling. Cars would be abandoned on the track which is a major hazard. Also my car stalled in the beginning of the race which made it impossible to catch up to the rest of the grid. read more

I approached this place with trepidation. Loud noises, crowds, and an unchecked amount of testosterone all in one place? Hard pass. But I was pleasantly surprised. I took my son, who is 4 1/2 for a ride on the kiddie track. As it turned out, he was a little apprehensive, so I switched his ticket out for a passenger ride, and bought a ticket for myself for the mini Indy track. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, we were allowed on. They cleaned the cars in between each guest, and always maintained safety standards while on the track, making sure that people understood the rules (they are also posted at the entrance, i.e., no hitting other cars; no alcohol, etc.). As for the ride, we got about 8 laps around the track. My son, the passenger and co-pilot, was thrilled by the experience, and can't wait to go back. Maybe we'll make this a monthly trip. read more

Go Kart World in Carson is a good place to have a good time. Apparently a ton of celebs go here to do so... when you go into buy your tickets and sign your waiver form check out all the pics on the wall. I was a spectator this go around (8/6/15), but it was still entertaining I guess. We were there at around 11:00 a.m. The entire place was clean, free of debris and trash anyway. Easy to get around even with me pulling our daughters around in their wagon. Lot of shade. Picnic tables and other places to sit. Plenty of arcades and other games near the ticket office. If you're coming here to compete, just give up already. Youngins are mixed in with the adults. And bumping isn't allowed. Why would you want to anyway especially if you're a normal sized adult? The second my brothers and my husbands got into their karts I was laughing. They aren't tall men by any means - all under 6'. They're all skinny too, but they made their karts look kind of small. These karts are just for kicks. And sore bones and a few bruises afterwards. The turbo track karts were too slow for them. The circle track near the kiddy area was the best since one of the other larger tracks was closed for a commercial shoot that day. I think it was the most fun since they could pass people without running them into the wall... Unlike the nicer tracks that I've been to in Vegas, they don't make you watch a video and put a helmet on. Just pay up and sign the waiver form. Cash or cards are accepted. No refunds. What I didn't really care for was signing a waiver form for our 1 & 2-year-olds who were just with me to watch. There are some parking lot spots, but otherwise just park on the street. FREE parking! Go Kart World? Should be called "Ghetto Kart World" because all the go karts are literally ghetto. None of them seemed to be maintained all. The steering and braking for most of them barely work. Hell, my engine shut off before we even started on one of the races! Everything about the place makes me want to call the department of safety or whatever group handles safety policies for businesses like this. The two bathrooms probably have at least 4 or 5 violations from no soap and paper towels to constant water leaking on the floor. The "arcade room" might as well be called the museum of old video games. Good luck if it even takes your tokens and if it does, good luck if it recognizes it and gives you the proper credit. Then, if it does give you the proper credit, you better hope the buttons and/or joystick works. There are signs that say no outside food but ironically the food stand they have looks like it hasnt been open since the place first opened years ago. Like the place itself, eventually they should close down permanently also. How much did I spend you ask? Well I got that Groupon special. 2 hours of unlimited rides for 2 people for 60 bucks. Since we went on a monday at 12:30, the place was not busy at all so we rode the 3 tracks that we can only ride on. They advertise 6 tracks but only 3 of them are actually for adults which was the Slick Track, the Turbo Karts, and the Super Track. The Slick Track was just your basic small oval track with both ends slicked up. Honestly, it wasnt slick enough and the karts were not fast enough. The Turbo Karts at first glance looked promising with the track having two levels but it turns out it is basically just a small circle 8 track and there is not much room to pass somebody up so you are virtually stuck behind the same person pretty much the whole time. If there was ever a track that might be almost worth coming here it would be the the Super Track. Has everything from secondary levels to hairpin turns, to enough track room to pass somebody up. Too bad the condition of the karts pretty much negates all that. Of course there are faster carts but those are not covered under the wristband deal so they cost separate. In the end, me and my teenage kids didnt have much fun at all. Its pretty sad that the most fun we had was me taking pics of them in one of those picture cut outs. Later on in the afternoon we were all sore like we just got done playing full court basketball for a couple hours. Thats when I realized just how uncomfortable all the karts were. So before coming here, think long and hard if you think this place deserves your hard earned money. Even though we didnt wait long to get on the karts, I still dont think it was worth the money. At least we know what the place is all about now. It sure as hell not a "world". I dont think it even deserves to be called "land". 5 stars for employees!!! My kids said they were really nice and appreciated their help. 3 stars for equipment. The go karts need an upgrade. Some go slower then others and that wasn't a request. However they have more tracks then an average go kart place and we did have a good time still. Also, there is a Groupon deal for $40- 2 hour unlimited track use And when u redeem it there u can purchase 2 or more at $37.50. If the lines are too long and go over 2 hours they will still honor 5 rides. Weekdays are best and less crowded. Especially if u get there right when they open. read more

We had a birthday party for my son at GKW and invited his school friends. I don't know who had more fun riding the karts, the kids or the adults. The party area they gave us was a good size. We ordered pizza to be delivered and brought our own dessert. All the staff there were super nice and accommodating. The kids ended the day at the arcade and loved the machines there. My son is already asking to go back. I think overall it was a great party and prices were reasonable. Would highly recommend as a party spot. read more

On their website, there is "birthday promo coupon" that gives 1 hour wristband on your birthday with driver's license check (and make sure you are over 16), and thanks to it, one of us got in for free! There were four different rides available, and all four of them were so fun. Bumper car area is round-shaped and looked easy as if it was made for children at first, but don't underestimate it. The track worker Vincent was extremely dry & rude to my niece. We ended up cutting our visit short dude to his poor attitude. Some of these kids have never driven go carts before so they make mistakes they forget where the break is they accidentally turned the wrong way. He made my niece feel so bad about it she cried and no longer wanted to ride. And she's not normally a sensitive girl she's 10 years old and very aware of peoples energy. The lady was very nice who work the front in handles the desk & tokens and so are the other track workers but he needs to get it together. read more

We just celebrated my husband's birthday here for the 2nd year in a row. This is a GREAT and easy place to celebrate! You can reserve a large picnic table and have pizza delivered to the front gate. So, everyone has a place to hang out between races. And the racing is so fun! We had 35 guests, and everyone was into it. Many of the tracks allow you to race with your littler kids, so everyone can participate. Plus, there is an arcade if you need a break from racing. So fun!! I highly recommend! read more

I am shocked this place is still open as it is sad to see it in even worse shape. This place has been outdated for years, yet I still had pride/faith in this establishment as I often pass it on the fwy. Visiting today, It looks the same when I last visited about 13 years ago. An outdated Twilight Zone now. Disappointing. We visited today expecting a revamp or at least to be Covid safe.. Nope!! Staff does NOT clean or do any type of disinfecting after riders or clean common places like seating areas or the Arcade.. Unfortunate, since we were here for hours! Some places will say, sanitation is at "top of the hour" ATLEAST (should still be more frequent) but never seen anyone wipe down once! Not all staff wear masks. The (1) hand sanitizer by the entrance was empty, dusty and looked like it had been empty for months. Arcade games are gunked with dirt. Air hockey was the only decent game (because how can you go wrong with that?) -however, the puck kept stopping due to how filthy the table and puck were. Food ordering was closed. Go kart place or not, there is a way to upkeep without having guests leave filthy, ruining clothes and shoes as all leave covered in dirt and engine soot. A front employee had to be bothered 4 times within a 15min period for reimbursement from games and vending machines that didn't credit tokens and money deposited. Made the mistake of cashing out $30 in tokens before handing off about $20 worth to someone in the parking lot as we left. Bathroom light in the arcade has a dim yellowy tint, it's eerie. It's clear the owner(s)/staff don't care and rather slip by. PLEASE take my word. read more

Do not bring your kids here as for my earlier comment about their breaks being faulty don't listen to these people man you will be disappointed with how badly they treat you. And yes the breaks were faulty because the kid riding the same cart crashes he'd and broke his classes a bit before they gave us that cart. It was all on video and well we all know lawyers tend to get paid off even his secretary was outraged that he threw my case. They will make you sing that paper saying anything that happens is on you. Red flag from the start. There is better places out there that care about the safety of our youngins the only person that got my respect was that worker who took off his shirt to stop my sons bleeding.
