Matt seems like an awesome guy, never met him, called for a job, cracked door jamb. His rates are honest and lower than anyone I had called, but still decided to be cheap and do the job myself although I had little idea what I was doing. I YouTubed and researched and thought I had all the answers, nothing can teach you experience. He text me back and asked how the project was going, I had a broad idea but would have butchered it without your help Matthew. I was definitely going down the wrong route with drywall screws and he opened up my mind like a book free of charge in order to help me, I literally had never heard of using furniture screws(headless so they dont show, like a nail gun but better) so you can barely tell there was a touch up job. Careful what they quote you and recommend. Requested a quote for some drywall patching of a ceiling and knew it could be done without priming and painting. They shot back with "The ring will still show. Trust me. Even if the cieling [sic] was cut perfectly. It will not disappear completely." Guess what? This is the second time I've used Matt's services. The first time was to sand and seal a large children's playset with swings in my backyard. This time, I hired him to assemble another children's playset for my daughter's backyard. It was only equipped to handle 110 pounds, and was not as sturdy as I would have chosen for safety purposes. Matt bought extra wood and braced the set as well as adding extra screws, drilling new holes, and making sure that no screws were extruded to hurt my grandkids. And in addition, he sealed the wood with two coats. All I can say is, Matt is the one I would hire with no hesitation. He is always on time, if not early, and is highly responsible. He charges a very reasonable rate by the hour and estimated quite correctly how much the job would take. He doesn't charge a flat fee which bothered me at first, but is very honest and works very hard and quickly.He's also quite friendly and conversational.
