I had josh come out a couple days before my trip to Japan because I didn't want to leave my place feeling dirty -- best decision ever. Josh showed up right on time, super friendly, and walked me through everything before he started. I've used other cleaners in the past and honestly the results weren't even close to this. My carpet literally looks brighter and you can actually feel how clean it is when you walk on it. Even the stubborn spot by the couch that I thought was permanent is gone. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL and against YELPs policy I would not recommend The Go Pros for various reasons. My mother has a primary bedroom with pet odor and called Go Pros from a coupon she received. They arrived and the pricing was different than advertised, yet we agreed upon 2 rooms and a hallway for $300. First off, the technicians were here from set up to clear out in EXACTLY 20 minutes!! 2 rooms (one that was charged extra due to the pet odor) and a hallway in 20 minutes?? No. Absolutely not. I called back after the technicians left (not knowing they were "finished") The man that answered the phone was rude and said verbatim "Don't tell me how to do my job, I've been doing this for 20 years." Due to the hardwood flooring beneath the carpeting they stated they didn't want to over saturate and warp the wood. Completely understandable, yet they didn't state that in advance. They were unable to remove the odor but promised to come back after a week (for FREE) if the smell lingered. We called 3 times after the 7 day waiting period with no response. On the 4th call on day 9, (done from a different #) the individual that answered the phone said he would contact his technician to make an appointment to come back for another try. Nobody called us. I posted my initial review on YELP and we received a call back within 24 hours stating a tech would "come and REMOVE the primary carpeting instead," with the caveat "that I remove my review." Once I deleted said review, my mother called back to make the appointment only to have the same individual backtrack and only agree to come back and make another pass over the carpet with pet odor. This would have been fine if the gentleman hadn't stated he would send someone out to REMOVE the carpet instead. This company is inconsistent and unprofessional. The employees/technicians are rude and they don't stand by their word. Not to mention the most important thing, they are TERRIBLE carpet cleaners. Regarding owners original (unedited) response: I am unsure what your definition of "damaged" means. If, in your professional opinion of "20 years in this service," you determined that the carpet was irreparable in odor removal, that should've been stated on your initial visit and we would NOT have paid the $300. That being said, you also stated that if the odor lingers, you would come back for free after a week. Additionally, if you felt that the carpet was "too damaged" or beyond your scope of ability, it would have been in your best interest (as a business owner) to state you were unable to do the job properly. Attached you will see photos that the carpet is essentially new and not "damaged" by definition. Also, you stated you made "several attempts to contact us" for our free second cleaning of said room, yet we called 4 times without a response from you and you only responded when you saw the YELP review. Then you requested the review be taken down and would have a tech make another appointment for the free cleaning. My mother stated it "might be best to just tear out the carpet" and your response was "OK OK." Nothing to the fact that you were unable to provide said service but only that it might be the best option for the primary room. Tearing out the carpet was not a service that we required of you. Your lack of professionalism stands from the attitude after the initial visit, lack of response to 4 previous phone calls and then requesting the review be removed before returning for the promised service. I stand by my review and hope you learn from this a valuable lesson in how to conduct yourself as a business owner. That is all. read more

Very unprofessional service. Left lots of chemical and water in the carpet. After 24 hours the carpet was still wet. Although the technician who cleaned the carpet told us that it would dry in 4 to 8 hours. I called them and Tony was not willing to send someone to suck the water out of the heavily wet carpets. I would not use this service again. Update: Mr Josh's response is not true. He didn't offer to come the very next day, The cleaning was done on the 11th of September and he refused to come on the 12th, but offered to come on 13th, that is exactly 2 days. We had to call another service on 12th to dry out the carpet and take out the excess water and chemical that they had left in the carpet. read more

Josh did a great job cleaning our carpets and tile. We had no communication issues. The person answering phones was very upfront and professional. We did have a coupon for steam cleaning and they did inform us over the phone they do charge extra for staining, spots, pets etc. Josh arrived on time between window we were given. I called on a Saturday and spoke to Jason. He booked me for an appointment on Monday from 1:00-3:00 PM. I cleared my room of furniture so that the area could be easily accessed for cleaning and waited on Monday from 1:00-3:00 PM for them to arrive. No one showed up and I received no call that they were running late. After 3:00 PM, I called to follow up and spoke to Tony who said they had no record of an appointment scheduled for 1:00-3:00 PM and that my address was not located anywhere in their scheduled appointments. If these guys can't figure out how to book an appointment I certainly wouldn't trust them to clean my floors. A complete waste of time. read more

The carpet was not clean when they finished. The tech had recommended shampooing three areas. I decided to have him shampoo two. That consisted of spraying a solution on those areas. As you can see from the photos, he sprayed about a 3' square area in front of the door. That left a ring of dirty carpet around that area. The other area was minimally improved. I paid a small amount extra for the 3 stairs. They still have dirty spots on the vertical surfaces. Josh was supposed to come during the day today to touch up the carpet. At 6 pm, he had not come and hadn't called. I called the office. The person I spoke to claimed that he had said the carpets needed deep cleaning. He hadn't said anything about that. She was defensive and said normally they'd charge me to come back out. Huh? That's weird when coming out is only because the carpets weren't cleaned well. I actually cleaned it myself last year (I'm 76 years old) and did a better job. I paid double the coupon price but it is the worst carpet cleaning job I've had. I typically use Green Carpet Cleaning and they are currently not servicing my area, so I decided to give this company a try. While they were prompt and completed the service, the carpet never completely dried and my roommate has been complaining of a smell. She moved in 8-1 (two days after my appointment 7/30). I requested a steam clean and shampoo service and it's never taken this long for carpets to dry. The door and windows remained open. I have been trying to call to reschedule since 8/4 and no one has picked up or called me back. I would like a full refund and for someone to come back next week to complete the service. I don't ever want to request services here ever again if this is the trouble I have to go through. They don't even have a website I can find or social media, which makes me uneasy. read more

I would definitely recommend these guys if you're in the Bay Area and need carpet cleaning or tile cleaning. We needed our travertine stone floors cleaned and honed after the 10 years of abuse they've endured. We weren't sure if it could even be fixed. They sent 2 techs Tony and David very friendly and professional gentlemen with great knowledge. This place is more of a mom n pops style local business and very hands on. They gave me options estimates and quotes. Prices were very competitive but the quality was what blew me away. From start to finish they did amazing. I had an appointment for 12-2, and the cleaner arrived at 3:30. They send out coupons with low prices, so I called and was quoted $75 for my 4 rooms and hallway, and they would do a quote for my shower and tile when he came. When he got here he said there were heavy traffic areas and some "stains" and it would be "$285"! I live alone and don't have a lot of "traffic". Then he wanted to charge extra for "area" rugs.... but he said he wasn't going to clean under the area rugs but was going to charge extra for the area rugs anyway. When I tried to ask how he got from $75 to $285 I got mumbo jumbo about all the things he had to add. He kept saying it was a free estimate and I didn't have to accept it, so I didn't! I contacted Go Pros after seeing a promotional offer in my mail. I called them after my move because the landlord had given us the home with extremely dirty carpets with an odor. I remembered that I had received this coupon in the mail and thought... "let me see if they are available" lucky me they were! They came a few hours later. I expect that this isn't likely but I was super happy to get it done same day. They came and checked out the carpets and explained the pricing and my different options. I was shocked by the clean the carpets looked after. I thought I was going to have to replace the carriers. They also cleaned my garage floor tiles and did an excellent job. First of all, the cleaner did a great job. The carpet is very clean like almost new. The reason I gave 1 star is for their management service quality. I got a coupon that $69 for 3 rooms + hallway, and it says "included: Steam cleaning and brightening." However, the carpet cleaner said the brightening is not included in the coupon, so if I want all the services, it's gonna be over $200. Also in the coupon, it says "Any size of the room", but according to the cleaner, that's not true as well. I called the number on the coupon, and the same woman who helped me to schedule the appointment answered the phone. I asked about the different prices and she said, "Read the coupon, everything is there." I was like ??? She said "I said on the phone yesterday, the cost can be higher if you have stain." so I said "yes you said, but I don't really have to remove the stain. I just wanna get a service that I chose on the coupon." and she said "no you can't just do that, read that again." I thought she was a nice person when I made an appointment, but when I asked about the different prices, she started to raise the tone and became kinda aggressive. On the coupon, there is nothing mentioned about "if you have a stain on the carpet, you will be charged extra regardless you wanna remove it or not.", but she said "yes, there is. read it." Phenomenal job done by this company. For months I had been dealing with stubborn pet stains due to our puppy and older dog. I've tried numerous carpet cleaning appliances to try to get the stains out, but was not able to do so. I found this company listed in the Pleasant Hill penny saver, and I have to say that making an appointment was so convenient! Was not told about cancellation fees or anything. (They put it in fine print). Deep Cleaning was also ordinary, not that good. It stays free deodorizing, but doesn't smell anything different.
