Terrible customer service with attitude. The last two times we patronized this place (once in person and once online) on very large orders the staff treated us like we purchased McDonalds happy meals. The last time, the staff member refused to give me his name and hung up. Do not waste your money here when there are more gracious greek restaurants in town. read more

We come here a lot for the best Greek food around. But yesterday, I had a hamburger. It was the best burger I've had in years. Got some American cheese on it and it was seriously perfect!! They always do a great job with my orders here. The food is consistently good, and the staff is warm and knowledgeable about the menu items. I eat here once a week. My only critique is that it can be a tad pricey. It could be inflation, but I never spend under $80 here, and that's for about 3-4 menu items. I often pick up take out here when I want something quick and healthy. (almost impossible to find healthy take out in this area.) Go To Greek has never let me down. Salads are always fresh - ripe tomatoes, crispy lettuce, delicious olives and capers. Stuffed grape leaves are big and full of mint. Their house dressing is the perfect accompaniment. Portions are very large- I always get two meals out of the Greek Village Salad. Tzatziki is full of fresh dill, and pita is always just grilled and warm. I was very impressed with the lamb souvlaki- tender chunks of marinaded lamb. It's never been tough or gamey. Service is always fast and everyone I've met there is polite and friendly. Looks like a fast food franchise at first but inside it's cool contemporary. We ordered chicken and lamb souvlaki sandwiches - best we've had in years! Tasty with the tzatziki sauce on the side. We decided to try one of their Greek desserts and were blown away with the serving size and taste. We were even offered a free sample of a new dessert, which was just out of the oven. Amazing. All of the staff were warm and friendly, and our orders were delivered to our table quickly. They were so willing to provide recommendations and ask if we enjoyed our meal. We visit Go to Greek at least twice a month for either takeout or sit down in the restaurant. First let me start off by saying that I was never able to taste the food here so my review isn't based on taste or food quality but on customer service. After the two interactions I had I would never want to give my money to an establishment like this one unless you like to be spoken to rudely and with owners who dont take accountability for treating their customers disrespectfully. I had an unfortunate instance with Uber eats to which I place 90% of the blame for what occured. That aside when I called the restaurant to get a real status on the order - the woman who I spoke with was unbecoming and not kind. I simply asked how long the order had been ready and if it was cold. She told me over 45mins and yes it was. I asked her if the driver ever showed (which he never did) could he could be given warm food not the cold sitting out food. She said ok but said you pay me another $50. I asked why would I do that I already paid. She immedietely started raising her voice and saying Im not going to lose money you pay 50 and come pick it up yourself. Obviously after already spending 50 I wasnt going to do that I asked for a manager and she said she was the manager. I asked for the owner purely to discuss how she spoke to me she said no. She told me cancel the order with uber. That ended costing me the entire amount for cancelling but I hamdled that directly with Uber. That aside I called back a few weeks later to speak to the owner only to discuss why the manager had spoken to me that way he listened but became intense when he started to respond as it turns out the manager was his wife and well the convo ended the same way lots of raised voices and rudeness and no accountability for their behavior. At no point during these interactions did I raise my voice or insult. When I asked him to kindly pull their recorded calls that they monitor for "high quality customer service" he yelled at me a little more defended his wife of over 40 years and basically told me where to go. Sadly as a kid from queens who grew up consistently enjoying my local greek restaurant for over 32 years with the same owners and cooks this not what I know family centric and greek hospitality to be.
