Excellent food from the Mediterranean region, mostly Turkish, Greek and Persian - we had a variety of items - lovely presentation of everything - and the service was good. I am fussy and everything I had was delicious and I loved that it wasn't over-spiced or super salty. The restaurant has a display of international guitar-like instruments and it turns out the owner plays all of them. I asked if he played and, when he had some time, he came over and played for us. Such a friendly place and very pretty, but the important thing is that the food was excellent and not crazy expensive. When we are in the area we definitely will return. read more

Yummy food your Babane would make for you! They start you off with this yummy flatbread and their mustard dip that I can't stop eating. We had the Sultan's Delight, the doner kabobs, and lamacun - all absolutely wonderful. The kids washed everything down with the house fruit punch. My family drove up to this restaurant for a great meal with my grandparents. I loved how great the service was and the food was really good too. I had the grilled octopus salad and a Diet Coke. I enjoyed my meal. The octopus was delicious and it wasn't too charred, which sometimes happens. We had this latka-like dish with a creamy sauce on top. That was pretty good too. The only thing that knocked my five-star review down to four was the screaming children who were climbing on the table next to us and running around the restaurant. It was happening for the whole hour that we were there! The restaurant didn't do anything to talk to the parents about it and just allowed the kids to be loud and disruptive. I know it's mostly on the family to discipline their kids, (which they weren't doing), but the fact that no one thought to step in and talk to the adults in that party of twenty really didn't take the rest of their patrons into consideration. The Turk is a place that you eat and brings you back as if you were in Turkey! We have been missing Turkey and their cuisine this was very much reminiscent. I imagined myself in Istanbul, and Cappadocia enjoying this food. Pita bread was out of this world paired with the Cacik Manti was good, I would order it again but better in Turkey of course. First time dinjng here. Food was delicious. The dips (artichoke hummus and baba ganoush) seemed so fresh, as though they just whipped them together in the back. Maybe they did. The main entrees ( Branzino, shrimp, salmon) were yummy and just the right size. We ordered baklava and kunefe for dessert. Both were amazing. The owner brought over a complimentary rice pudding, and when they finished making the next day's chocolate pudding, he brought one to us as well. Both were light and decadent at the same time. The Turk has been on my "to try" list for quite a while. I adore mediterranean food and especially fell in love with Turkish cuisine during a trip to Istanbul a number of years ago. There is a really fantastic Turkish restaurant in Philly, where I was residing at the time, that gave me hope in what I would be able to scavenge up in the US. After years of anticipation, we finally ordered delivery from here a few nights ago. I tend to veer towards the falafel and hummus things as a vegetarian but I was pleased to see some other options. In fact, they have a whole vegetarian menu. I was drawn towards the "mixed vegetables" which they describe as a bunch of veggies sauteed in garlic and their light tomato sauce, served with rice. GF ordered the spinach borani which is pretty much the same as the vegetables but with spinach and garlic yogurt sauce. I cannot resist borek or halva ever so we added an order of their feta cheese borek and "baked halva" for dessert. The first hint that something was amiss was that the food arrived to our door in literally 24 minutes. I don't like to wait either but there is such a thing as too fast. If you were wondering if anything is made to order, the answer is it's not. Ok so for the food. I am OBSESSED with boreka. I have had that shit throughout the balkans and middle east. I schlepped GF to Israel and trying borek was one of the main driving factors there. I was so unimpressed by this that I didn't even finish it. It wasn't BAD it just wasn't worth eating. I think the parsley was way too overpowering. My "mixed vegetables" was pretty much a tomato onion soup with some chunks of vegetables. The eggplant was falling apart. There was maybe 4 or 5 chunks of pepper that was extremely soft and soggy. There were exactly 2 chunks of potato. I think there were 3 slices of carrot. The sauce was good but the whole thing was extremely disappointing and ESPECIALLY for $26. That is highway robbery. I want to file a police report. The rice and whatever other grain in there was the best part. They did provide a bunch of strips of pita or laffa that was good with some hummus I threw together. The halva was like...goopy. I haev never had halva that liquidy. It is definitely supposed to be more solid than that. It was also WAY too sweet. Of note, GF loved her spinach thing and ate the entire thing in one sitting. OMG I almost forgot one of the few positives of the meal. GF also ordered the grape leaves which I will admit was one of the better ones I've had. They were very firm and tasty. The whole meal, for me, was pretty disappointing. When you consider how outrageously expensive it is for what you get, it just pisses me off. read more

Overall, the food is very good! Everything is quite mild but flavorful, and the meats are high quality & halal. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. We stumbled upon this place after being greatly disappointed at the Mount Kisko's farmers market. Not at all what advertised, hot and hungry we saw this restaurant in the corner. It looks very classy on the outside but never nearly as fancy on the inside. Is very pretty and comfortable. It does give a fancy modern middle eastern vibe. We were the only ones at the restaurant and had all the attention of the server. Someone was trying to clean an instrument and some of the notes we got to hear sounded very beautiful. I am by no means an expert in Turkish food, this was my second time ever, so we ordered several appetizers to try as much as we could. I will say I think of myself as a stuffed grape leaves connoisseur and this ones did not disappoint. Although some middle eastern countries have some similarities in certain dishes, certainly each can make a key difference. This place's hummus, chicken wings, yogurt based sauce and zucchini pancakes were certainly flavorful and heavily seasoned with strong spices. We definitely want to go back and try the entrees but something to consider is that I felt the place to be a bit pricey in comparison to the amount of food but it was good quality. read more

The Turk is still just as special as ever. My grandmother would roll over in her grave if she knew how good this food is. I had the stuffed cabbage special which was just like my grandmother's. The lentil soup was fantastic as were all the Mezze platter dips. The owner also brought us a lamb on pita appetizer which the table gobbled up. I had the baked halvah for dessert and the chocolate pudding and rice pudding were hits. The baked halvah should not be missed. Delicious food and good service...some friends had mentioned this place so as we were hungry on the way back to the city one weekend we decided to stop. Service was quick and all the food was so good and very authentic. We had some spicy ezme, lamachun and we split the mixed grill. The spicy esme was very spicy but so good. The lamachun was excellent but it wasn't on the menu. The waiter said they had it so we ordered it...what he didn't tell us was that they charged $25 for it! It was a good portion but literally 2-3 times what we'd pay for it in Queens. If I'd known, we wouldn't have ordered it. Everything on the mixed grill was really good...we didn't leave anything. Ordered for home delivery. Estimated time for delivery was 8:03pm, food arrived at 08:35. Ordered a falafel wrap, lentil soup and dolma's. The wrap was dry with no yogurt sauce in it, the soup was terrible tasting and the dolma's were a small serving in a bed of salad with no sauce or dressing. Also, a very small order of greasy french fries came with the wrap, This totaled almost fifty dollars. Get the Mixed Grill. We realized every 5-star review had one thing in common: the Mixed Grill platter. And now we know why. Greatest assortment of lamb and chicken souvlaki, doner, and lamb chops. I thought it'd be too much meat, but it came with rice and salad. Divine. Also, the Baklava is insanely good, swimming in honey water and perfect. The grilled bread and yogurt sauce on the side? Delicious Turkish food in Mt Kisco! The interior is small but decorated with colorful plates and an extensive wine rack on one wall. The service was friendly, and we talked with the owner, who brought out his collection of instruments. He sang us a few songs and was an impressive amateur musician! The meal starts with a basket of bread strips, some toasted and some not, and an unusual olive oil and mustard dip. I never thought olive oil would go well with mustard, but it does! For appetizers, we got the zucchini pancakes and the baba ganouj. Both were delicious. My main course was the manti- Turkish ravioli. They were phenomenally good. A very nice lunch in Mount Kisco today. Heard about this place from various friend and had to try it out for myself. The Lentil Soups is exactly what I had anticipated. Others have "loved" it. It was better than most I have tried. I think they have Parmesan in it, but not certain. I'd you are vegan, you should ask. The Mixed Grill was tender and charred to perfection. It was just too much for one person, so I took the rest to go. It comes with a salad and rice. I forwent the rice and they gave me extra on the Mediterranean salad, which was also quite tasty with a zing. They are adhering you social distancing protocols by spacing tables as "no zone seating" to maintain space between patrons. Food is clean as is the establishment and table.
