This was the best Greek food I have ever had! I got the Doner Gyro, and I loved everything about it! The beef and lamb were delicious, and the potatoes were phenomenal. A dependable go-to for a relaxed dinner date. We went during peak dinner hours with a reservation and were seated promptly. The recent expansion into the neighboring space really opened things up with plenty of seating without sacrificing energy. Noise level was balanced, lively but still easy to talk. Free parking lot with ample spaces makes it effortless. We started with a Horiatiki salad and their signature triangles of warm pita with Greek olives -- a simple touch they consistently get right. I ordered the Meraki Passion Platter, while my wife had the butterflied branzino with Patates Tiganites. The homemade round fries are addictive - thin fries with a crisp outside. Portions are generous without being excessive. Service was polished and familiar; we've seen many of the same staff over the years, which says a lot. We ordered from here for dinner recently. I wanted something light (recovering from Taco Bell the night before) so I went with a greek salad. The dressing was so light and refreshing. I love how they really sliced the lettuce finely, I hate shoveling a tree branch in my mouth when I'm eating a salad. I also felt like the ingredients were super fresh. I do need to stop ordering tomatoes, I don't like them and never will. That feta cheese? Holy shit. Where do Greek places get feta cheese? it's like a different breed than anything I've ever bought for myself. I also ordered hummus and I'm not sure whether the hummus came with pita or the salad but they provided a literal dinner portion of food portion-size of pre-sliced pita. Some of it was a lil soggy, I wonder if they warmed it up and it was steaming in there? Not sure what else could have occurred there but it crisped up nicely in the oven. The hummus was also delicious. It was what I would expect from a Mediterranean place. GF ordered some sardine entree business, greens, and mashed potatoes. "It was good" she says. Meraki is the perfect restaurant. I know that's a big statement. I can back it up. - The food is consistently excellent, especially the pristinely fresh seafood, fresh veggies, fresh pita. The whole branzino served here is my metric / gold standard for grilled branzino (or other similarly prepared fish) served anywhere else. Very, very few places measure up to Meraki. (The fresh sardines are also very good if you enjoy an oily fish and don't mind the bones.) - Staff are unfailingly kind, observant, hospitable and hardworking. There are servers of all ages. - The space is cozy, attractive, and clean, with lots of exposed brick. There's a pleasant outdoor seating area out front, an open kitchen. They recently expanded into an adjacent space and opened it up for dining about three months ago. - The food, decor and gracious service make it perfect for first dates, 100th dates, 1,000th dates, and families, including those with young children and dogs. I am very moved that staff here always offer water to our pup when they offer it to the humans amongst us. Hosts like this are sometimes richly rewarded by the gods in myth (and are appreciated deeply and tipped well by mere mortals in real life). - Prices are extremely fair, especially given recent inflation. You can eat inexpensively or splurge as you like. I'm very fond of the well curated Greek wine list, which features many easy drinking, food friendly wines without the extreme markups we typically see in NYC. I'm fairly sure you can shoot blind wrt the wine list and end up with something good. We've done so many times ourselves. The restaurant is always busy with both diners and take out orders. I've been coming to Meraki since it opened and I've always had my favorite foods here but recently this week I discovered a dish that has been on the menu forever and it's my new favorite! The dish has 4 lamb chops and 6 grilled shrimp. It's just sooooooo tasty! A nice combo and very satisfying! Other dishes I love are the Greek salad of course, the fried eggplant and zucchini, the whole fish grilled, spicy peppers stuffed with feta, I could go on... Love it here! I was looking for a dinner spot in the area and ended up here. I'm so glad I stopped in! We ordered the pita bread, tzatziki and the meat platter. Everything we tried was extremely flavorful and fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful too. We stopped in early on a Friday night, but we had a reservation. I'd recommend making one if you're planning on coming here. By the time we left, the dining room was very full. The food here is excellent and the portions are generous. It's definitely family friendly so bringing the kids was not an issue. The kids had the "Zeus" which is a chicken/pita dish. They enjoyed; they were confused about the "round French fries", but after tasting it, they were fine. Is adults ordered the red sangria which was pretty good, not too strong, and refreshing enough to have a second glass without consequence. For app, we ordered a calamari dish that was served with chickpeas and feta and seasoned well. For the mains, we had the mixed grill which was also excellent. This place is absolutely fantastic and this part of Westchester has needed a Greek restaurant for a long time! I've been about three times now and every time I have such a wonderful meal, once I went for lunch and the other two times for dinner. Their waitstaff work their tails off running around to make sure everything is brought out quickly, and the orders are correct They are so friendly and pleasant-they are eager to provide recommendations and answer any questions. Your meal starts off with some fresh pita bread, which is always tasty. Their portions are very big as well so make sure you come hungry! :) Their menu has almost everything you could want on it, and everything is made fresh to order-I love their Greek salad, their whole fish (often on the specials) and all their appetizers as well as soups! I went with my family the other day, and my dad said it was the best Gyro platter he has ever had at any Greek restaurant! I also love their lemon potatoes, which is a Greek specialty! It isn't the biggest restaurant so I would advise making a reservation on a busy night because it gets very crowded. I'm hoping they can maybe expand because there's a vacant store next to them.... which would be awesome! During the warmer months, they have plenty of seating outside, which is really nice and makes it much easier to get a table on a busy night. The owner is friendly as well, as is the manager who always come to check on how our meal is going. Also, for Westchester County, the prices are very fair. The food at this establishment was SCRUMPTIOUS! I had recently returned from Greece (Athens and Santorini) and was in the mood for GOOD Greek food, not just the usual gimmicky fare. This place did not disappoint. We got complimentary olives and bread (yum!). We shared the spicy feta cheese spread (spicy and delicious!), side salads (super duper fresh), and Meraki mixed grill platter (so many delicious meats, enough for 4 people to share). I was instantly transported to my adventure in Greece...the authenticity was beyond my expectations. The only odd thing, the meat platter came with one very small side (we got the lemon potatoes) which was delicious but not really enough to go with all that meat, so expect to order at least another side. What a great restaurant! It was my first time here and I couldn't get enough! We started with stuffed calamari and the kounoupidi. The stuffed calamari was like butter, and oozed this cheesy deliciousness of feta inside. Yum! Oh, the cauliflower was amazing in a spiced tomato sauce. Just perfect. For entrées we got the Poseidon platter and The doner platter. The Gyro meat was well spiced and tender and the accompanying Pita was just delicious. The hummus was extra creamy and homemade and the seafood was grilled to perfection. The restaurant itself is very clean and pretty inside. The owner/ manager couldn't have been nicer, and explained different dishes to us as well as the desserts that were offered. We ended this banquet with a wonderful dessert that was recommended-Galaktoboureko. This was a Filo dough, honey infused, pocket of perfection. Went a little "off-book" the other day and ordered takeout from Meraki. I say "off book" because I'm normally super basic and get a salad, maybe a dip or something. As a vegetarian, I try to keep it simple and light. I saw on the menu some sort of artichoke and pea dish that sounded so comforting and delicious, so I decided to give it an o. And oh wow. WOW. It was delicious. There was a rich depth of flavor. The artichokes and peas were a unique combination I would not have previously considered. I added my own feta at home, and wow. Meraki is every neighborhood's classic Greek joint. I'm about two weeks out since we dined and I'm having trouble remembering all the flavors, although we walked out smiling and quite full. A few tips.... The Greek sausage (loukaniko) appetizer was excellent. I thought the garidas Santorini (shrimp) was also tasty. The pasticchio was a little to heavy and not as memorable. We shared an order of baklava for desert, which was nice and crispy and not over-sweet, which some can be. Noticeable was the over-indexing on waitstaff. Service was very attentive. I was surprised just how many waiters and waitresses were mulling around. That's a good thing when it comes to good service. Overall, Meraki was a solid choice with the usuals you would expect. EXCELLENT GREEK FOOD. This is my favorite restaurant in Armonk to get takeout from. I prefer it to the numerous pizza places in town. My favorite dish here is the cold appetizer sampler. I like to get it as a main course with the pita. I get it both when I dine in and as takeout. The flavors are simply phenomenal, and the pitas are toasted to perfection. I'm a particular fan of the taramosalata- the caviar dip. I have also had the soups and the Greek salad. This place is a little pricier than the local competition, such as the Lefteris chain, but the food quality is much better. The ambiance is your typical nautical theme with Greek colors. The fried eggplant and zucchini hot app. with garlicky mashed potatoes was very fresh and lovely. The table pita and olives with olive oil was delivered promptly. I like their selection of greek wines that are explained well. The zucchini pancakes were hearty and full o'feta. I had an artichoke heart app, stewed in fresh peas with tomatoes that was very different and interesting . All in all this is a great little find. The atmosphere is pleasant clean open and cozy. OK Greek restaurant. Everything was good enough, but nothing was special. My gyro platter had plenty of meat and plenty of rice...but no onion, tomato, etc. (all the condiments that usually accompany a good gyro...so as a result it was bland. Review of a Friday evening dinner for two. The Lefteris restaurants dominate Greek eats in Westchester, but more upscale offerings are starting to flourish. Meraki will be a strong competitor in that space. We were greeted by a grandmotherly type server, who provided the sort of warm service that almost disappeared during the pandemic. First up was a pile of grilled pita and dip. Her white wine suggestion was on point, fruitier than most Greek wines. But here's the rub. On the night we visited, the grill was down, so a good portion of the menu was unavailable. For starters, we opted for fried Cyriot meatballs and the gigandes beans. The little porkers were nicely done, managing to be both juicy and crispy. The gigandes beans, in a delicious light tomato sauce, were far superior to the canned variety, Mains were limited by the absence of the grill. La Portena's Pargi came sauteed over spinach. Our server had described the fish as a Mediterranean snapper, and that description seemed accurate. It was a generous portion of a firm, white fleshed fish, perfectly cooked, over a nice bed of spinach. My roast lamb dish (a special) did not quite hit the mark. It came as three pieces, each partially wrapped in foil. And while it looked like a large portion, it actually wasn't - each piece contained a fair amount of bone, as well as fat and conenctive issue. What meat there was -- was tender, savory, and moist, but there was not enough of it. The three slices of potato that accompanied it were not all that flavorful. With the lamb, I enjoyed the server's recommended Cabenet Franc, and it was a better glass than I expected. We took our dessert of galaktoboureko home. It was a generous portion - easily enough for two, and just about perfect, not too sweet, the pastry on point, the custard fresh tasting.
