This restaurant is a disaster. They clearly have invest 0 time in ensuring adequate service. My server was completely overwhelmed tending to every table in the restaurant while the manager sat on his phone and offered no help nor guidance. The food took a long time, my dessert never came, and the drinks were horrible because they do not have a bartender. Exhausted and hungry, we were warmly greeted by Steven at the door, who instantly made us feel welcome. Once seated, we were treated to hot bread and garlic knots served with their incredible homemade dipping sauce -- the perfect start. Sonny came by to share the day's specials and take our order. We went with the scarpiello chicken wings, penne vodka, and chicken milanese. Every dish was clearly made fresh to order and arrived piping hot. The staff checked in on us often, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The portions were extremely generous -- so much so that we had plenty to take home. By the time we left, we felt completely opposite of how we arrived: full, happy, and thrilled to have discovered a new neighborhood restaurant. I will gladly pay $80 or more if the food is tasty. But the cook obviously has no skills. The meals were tasteless and swimming in canned tomato sauce. The meat dishes were bland. Absolutely no flavor at all. Where's the garlic, salt, pepper, herbs and spices. The pasta also lacked in flavor and the tomato sauce just over powered our plates. Don't get me wrong. We have dined and ordered takeout from the other location In the Mahopac, so we wanted to try this other location in Mohegan Lake. The food is just as delicious, just as fresh, huge portions as the other location. Very good service too! The portions are large enough for two people to share! Suggested Apps: chicken wings, calamari. Entrees: Salmon, chicken parm (best around) nice size portion and delicious red sauce ( and I'm very picky about my red sauce, ) chicken caprese is excellent with just the right amount of cheese and rughella on top! The only bad thing is that we were too full for dessert! Maybe next time! This restaurant is truly a great addition to the neighborhood! You will not be disappointed! Was very disappointed yesterday attending a "Retirement Dinner " with 9 of my friends. The waiter (also the Bartender) took our order for all 9 of of us but never checked on our water, or bread running out as he seemed too busy to take care of his bar....so it took over an hour to be served and charged a Gratuity of near $50 without us allowing what we felt was appropriate. Let me start off by saying I love pizza, and I was extremely blessed to grow up around some of the best pizza ever in Brooklyn. This places was a walk down memory lane. Once I opened the box the smell was a shock to my senses. You can tell right away that the sauce was made with TLC, It tasted like my Grandmother's on Sundays, like they just picked the tomatoes right off the vine and was just simmering for hours. We were driving by and saw a bunch of people eating outside. Hungry, my girlfriend and I stopped by and decided to get some food. Since outdoor dining is allowed now, we thought, hey why not? We wanted some Italian and decided to give this place a try. What a great place. The service was terrific. Ron was our waiter and he was great. Tonight I had the grilled swordfish special. My wife had the salmon special and the kids had pizza. I told my son, "look, your sneakers are untied."
