They had a look at my water heater and determined it needed to be replaced. We had been wanting to get a new tankless water heater for quite some time but my husband wanted to wait until we were in need of replacing our current hot water heater tank. Steve gave us a quote for replacing our current 75 gallon water heater with a tankless Navien model that would go in our garage in the same place as our old water heater. The price was fair and we agreed to go with the work. Later that morning Efficient Plumbing ordered our tankless water heater, delivered it, removed our old water heater and installed the new tankless water heater for us. They did an amazing job with all the necessary modifications to make the conversion from tank to tankless and we were thrilled with the end result. We now have endless hot water that we once never had. Efficient Plumbing has once again came to our rescue when we have been in need of a plumber! They are the best plumbers and I will continue working with them on any future projects or improvements that we may need.

Evelin answered the phone and walked me through on how to shut the water off to the house immediately to stop the water damage. Hector came out within the hour and got to work diagnosing our issue. He is knowledgeable and very experienced and we always feel like we are in good hands. Our ceiling was opened and it turned out to be a copper pin hole leak on the water line in the ceiling above the dining room that feeds our master bathroom. Hector skillfully repaired the water leak and also advised us to consider a whole house repipe since this was not our first leak. They gave us their estimate the same day for the whole house repipe and even offered to credit the repairs made with Hector towards the repipe which was a big help. We decided to move forward and had them repipe our whole house the following week. They got it done in one day and everything went great! A few days later the drywall was patched up and we were all done! This had happened in the past when we first purchased the unit about four years ago. At that time, I replaced the burner assembly and control valve, and the problem was solved. I never found out the exact cause, but it was fixed. Fast forward to today, and the same issue started happening again. Unfortunately, I was away on business, and my wife was home with the kids, getting tired of relighting the pilot every morning and sometimes multiple times during the day. We called The Water Heater Company, and their service and communication were excellent. After diagnosing the issue, they contacted Rheem and ordered replacement parts under warranty: the burner assembly and control valve. They gave us three options: replace the two parts under warranty, replace the entire water heater, or install a tankless water heater. Because this is a very expensive unit that otherwise works well, we chose to repair it. Here's my honest opinion. As a fellow tradesman, I understand that skilled work is expensive. Still, the labor charge of $800 felt very high for what was essentially a warranty part replacement. The first visit took about an hour, and the second visit took around 50 minutes. I understand there's drive time, phone calls, office staff, insurance, tools, and scheduling overhead, but it still seemed excessive. Maybe I'm looking at it through the eyes of someone who usually handles these kinds of repairs myself, but I was away for an extended period and needed the problem resolved. He spent 15 minutes with me reviewing the strategy he was going to use to best install the softener; and then answered all my questions. He really put my mind to ease. During the job, we decided to do a pressure regulator, which they discounted for me, which I really apprecaited.
