You NEVER want to have to call a plumber but if you have to call one, call Bill he was so caring and helpful on Mothers Day a Sunday go figure , when so many other plumbers that I called were Out Of Town for Mothers Day , Not Bill and Fabian , one of Bilks plumbers . So last night on a Saturday night around 10:15 PM my smaller bathroom decided to leak into my down Stairs's neighbors bathroom , they text me at 10:30 pm last night to let me know so I could have my water turned off to prevent any further damage . Called a handful of plumbers that were out of town and one actually text me and referred me to Bill which I greatly appreciated- Bill sent Fabian out within 3 hours to repair the pinhole leak for us . Fabian did such a great job not only for myself but for the down stairs neighbors as well. Fabian was sweet and informative and knew what he was doing. I am sorry to have to write a bad review as we have used Metzger Plumbing for quite some time, but I am compelled to do so because this experience was so disappointing. Eight days ago we experienced clogging in our kitchen sink just the day before we were leaving on vacation. They came out promptly and the tech performed his evaluation of the situation and said that he was going to run a snake through and that should clear up the drain for $289. No problem. He did that and then when he was done, he said the drain was clear, but that he recommended that we do more cleaning using a Mini Jetter to get a more thorough cleaning for an additional $589. I said that since you snaked the drain and said it was clear, why should I also be doing this now? His response was it wasn't absolutely necessary now, however, down the road it would be beneficial to keep the drain open. So I said fine. Let's consider this down the road as I just spent $289 and the drain is clear. We went on vacation the next day and when we got back the drain was immediately clogged again. I called Metzger and they said that according to their records they had recommended the mini Jetter and we had declined. I pointed out that this was not recommended until after the tech ran the snake. I told them that if they had given me the option upfront, I would've had them run the mini Jetter right away for $589. Her response was that the initial service was not covered by any warranty, but the the Mini Jetter was. So I had no choice but to agree to spend another $589 for a drain that essentially was never completely cleared in the first place. As I had no choice, I reluctantly agreed. She said that a tech would be at our house between 8AM and 12 PM and a text message confirmed that. At 12:05PM after neither hearing from nor seeing anyone I called them back and she said "oh, the tech is going to get some equipment and he will be over". Not the best communication. When the tech arrived, he was nice enough, however, he was unsympathetic to the fact that our initial blockage required more than a simple snake, and that should've been properly diagnosed at the time or we should not have been essentially double charged for a missed initial diagnosis or a lack of giving us options prior to completing the service. I don't think that they were trying to shake us down on purpose, however the lack of communication and professionalism is not acceptable. For future plumbing needs we will be using someone else. read more

We worked with Rambo throughout the remodel of three bathrooms and a kitchen, which ultimately also required a full repipe of our house. I had Brian Carson from Metzger Plumbing out to work on my plumbing problems twice in this past month. Brian is an absolute gem. His understanding of plumbing techniques and processes is excellent. I understand why he is a mentor to apprentice plumbers. Initially, he came out to deal with a broken 3-Inch drain line. His sense of urgency was reassuring as he and an apprentice identified the location of the problem and took the necessary steps to remedy the mess. While repairing that initial problem, he discovered an even bigger problem...my water heater had been leaking and had caused related damage to the closet and adjoining room's drywall and flooring. He was instrumental in getting a company out to dry out the area and they called-in three other contractors (remediation team for demo and reconstruction, my Insurance adjuster and a hazard testing agent to take material samples for lab testing for mold or asbestos---there was none) Brian kept in touch with the other workers and as soon as the water heater closet was dry and restored, he was out the very next day to get my new water heater installed. (Living without hot water is very rough.) Here, I have to add an additional comment to Brian's skills and attitudes which probably saved my life or, at least, protected my health. After he completed the water heater installation and hook-ups, he was checking to see that the vent on top of the water heater was properly venting up through my roof to allow dangerous gasses to escape from the closet where it was installed. He was puzzled that the vent exit seemed blocked. This required him to make an extra trip back to his office to get a long ladder to permit him to access my roof to see what the problem might be? It became apparent that roofers (who had replaced my roof a couple of weeks before) had pushed down and closed the vent cap to my water heater! It took significant force for Brian to raise the vent cap back to an open position. Just imagine what danger I would have been in if he just ignored the vent cap...he didn't do anything to it, after all. But Brian is conscientious and knows that water heaters MUST BE VENTED, so he uncovered and remedied the blockage problem. I am truly grateful for his character and thoroughness. read more

We were really in a pinch. Our washer's drain kept backing up every time we ran a load. We called Hero Router on Friday of Labor Day weekend. I tried to snake it myself but did not know where the clean out was. Obviously the Hero Guy did not know where the clean out was because he wanted to start opening walls up and charge us thousands. On Labor Day I called Bill Metzker Plumbing, hoping for an appointment on Tuesday. The dispatch lady was super nice and was able to send a plumber out to help. She sent Monte, a very knowledgeable and professional technician. He quick spotted the clean out access behind the washer. Monte gave me a very competitive under $500.00 to resolve this pesky clog. We did not have to open up walls or spend thousands of dollars for a needless inconvenience. Jacob has been absolutely amazing. First call out was in November. My sump pump was not working. I had no idea how old it was since it was there when I purchased the house. After working on it for a bit, he informed that the pump would need to be replaced, which I had already considered. He ordered a new one and came out a week later to replace it. After the heavy rains during the holidays, I noticed that although the pump was working, water was not draining. Jacob came and after a considerable amount of work, he was able to fix the drain pipe that had been originally installed incorrectly. All is now working as it should. Thanks Jacob! I was sold a Flow Tech Max on 1/26 . The salesman said it would replace my soft water and the only difference would be I wouldn't feel that greasy feeling after shower. That was untrue everything has a film on it from the hardwater. If the salesman had been honest I wouldn't have bought. I only scheduled appt for problem with faucet in bathroom and he claimed this was the only way to fix. I wouldn't do business with a company that has dishonest sales people. We called them to look at our water heater and for the first 20 min all they talked about was needing to upgrade our soft water system and go tankless....
