Wow! I called at 8 am for help with a leak in the ceiling in a weird spot. They showed up at 8:30 am actually beating me to the apartment. We determined the leak was from a tenant's portable AC unit. Gavin then checked the regulator to make sure it was around 65 psi, but it was 90 psi despite being checked in the inspection just a few months earlier. I guess these regulators only last about 4-6 years. We replaced it to avoid future leaks. These guys are local to SC and DP and really know their stuff. Our previous plumber left us with a leaking cartridge and no hot water so we were anxious to get this fixed. Our neighbor referred us to the Passionate Plumbers and I am so grateful! I called at ~9:30am and they had their plumber arrive at noon same day!!! Andrew Amante was on-time (actually a few minutes early which I loved), professional (he even came with shoe covers without me asking), knowledgeable and he managed to fix the cartridge and our hot water in a timely way. What should have been an easy pop-in of the new cartridge, he was met with some sediment build-up from hard water and he had to work at the install 3x to get the leak to stop but he did it! Further, he took the time to also teach me how to bleed our water heater and explain how it works so we know if we need the water shut off again how it works, so we don't go without hot water for a week+ which is what our former plumber had left us dealing with. I've used these guys before and not sure why I've never left a review, but I should have. These guys are fabulous... always on time, always polite, always know what they're doing, always transparent on pricing, just good all around and how all plumbing companies should aspire to be. I recently called because of what I thought was a leak in the main line under our backyard... this is what our landscapers thought (we called them first because we thought it was an irrigation leak), so we ended up calling another plumbing company who is great and happens to be a family friend, however, they didn't have the technology to find the leak underneath the concrete so they referred us to a leak detection company. That company never got back to me and I'm glad they didn't. I had to get someone with the technology out here... enter Jay from the passionate plumbers. He was very thorough and ultimately determined it is most likely water runoff that has settled underground and risen because of the recent rain. It will take a couple weeks to determine but he was confident enough to not do a bunch of extra things and charge us hundreds of dollars to do so. Just all around integrity from these guys. For a relatively simple kitchen sink unclogging and drainage, I got charged $295. I have paid $100 less for the same service and length of visit with another company. The service person was very nice and friendly but he almost charged me way more for replacing the part of the pipe under the kitchen without checking to see if it's accessible from outside.
