Do NOT book this so called "tour". It's a total scam. The USS Arizona Memorial is operated by the National Park Service and is completely free to visit. You can reserve tickets yourself at recreation.gov for just $1, or even get free day-of tickets on-site. This company charges $79 per person (as of 5/1/25) for what is essentially a shuttle ride to a free attraction. We paid $65 for our baby, which is outrageous considering children under 3 don't even need tickets. I asked ahead of time if I could bring our own car seat and was told they wouldn't assume liability for any damage- clearly a tactic to discourage parents from bringing their own. They said a car seat would be provided. It was NOT. Worse, the van was full and didn't even have an empty seat to use our own. This was dangerous and unacceptable. The "tour guide" was rude and openly harassed us from bringing a child, despite the Viator listing saying the tour is stroller and baby friendly. He also made disparaging remarks about my elderly mother, who has limited mobility, saying we would slow down the group and throw off the schedule. To be clear- the "guide" does not even accompany you into the memorial- you're just dropped off and handed your (free) tickets. We were staying at The Royal Hawaiian, which is listed as a pickup location, but were told to walk to the Sheraton for pickup instead. When I didn't think it could get any worse, on the drive back, the guide went out of his way to point out a dead mongoose on the side of the road. Then, when a parrot hit the windshield, another passenger said they hoped the bird was okay. The guide responded with, "Not likely" with no concern or tact. Just an unnecessarily grim, off-putting moment to end an already awful experience. This is not a tour. It's an overpriced shuttle service run by a company that preys on tourists who assume they're booking something official or guided. Read the fine print, do you research, and book directly through the National Park Service. Don't fall for this scam. read more

Don't go! It was horrid and a scam. It was a shuttle period. The driver was grumpy and downright rude. "Tour" my rear. Two things you need to know: 1. Pearl Harbor tours are FREE. Tickets available through the national parks system. 2. Parking is FREE at Pearl Harbor. Civilians welcome. You don't need to be military to go to the parks services attractions. Save yourself a ton of time and money and uber or drive to Pearl Harbor and enjoy at your own pace. This "tour" took 4 hours of waiting in the hot sun, no A/C in the van, and a mean driver for the 1/2 hour that the wonderful USS Arizona Memorial takes. We took the Pearl Harbor Tour with Karma Tour Hawaii today and Art was our tour leader. He was great providing information we hadn't heard before and we've poured Pear Harbor twice! My husband is on a walker and Art was so considerate making sure we knew where the handicap accessible entrances were, lifts on the Missouri, etc. He pointed out so many places of interest within Honolulu and we got to see the Christmas decorations downtown. I'll start off by saying that I booked my family of 5 through Viator for the USS Arizona through Karma Tours. I Paid $75 per person to guarantee that we had a ticket to visit USS Arizona nearly 2 weeks ahead of time as we are visiting Oahu in a very busy time. Only to be told by our tour guide Tony (and I quote) that his "boss" over booked our tour & we do not have tickets to visit USS Arizona AFTER we got on the tour bus & arrived to Pearl Harbor entry. We were then told to go to a kiosk & put ourselves on a "standby" list.. not a guarantee to get on at our pre-paid & pre-booked scheduled time. When I asked our tour guide Tony what happened, his reply was extremely versed , as if he's been in this situation MANY times. He knew exactly what to say & when to say it, to try & get out of the situation. Down to calling me "Mama" I'm here for you. Which was basically his attempt to patronize me. Which I don't appreciate. I'm a nurse of 20 plus years & deal with people daily. I would never do this to people knowingly. We were not only lied to & taken advantage of, but were treated like we just needed to "deal with it." Because an according to our your guide Tony & Nicole (supposedly The Manager of Karma tour Company). That things like this "happen" and we just needed to deal with it.. I'm a good person & I absolutely hate that I have to take my own time out of my vacation to leave this review. But I feel like people need to know how this company called Karma handles there customers. Tickets to the Arizona are free and there is a FREE shuttle from Waikiki as well as free parking if you drive. this ended up being a very expensive shuttle with a rude pompous driver. We had a 1030 meet up time and ended being picked up one hour or more later. We ended up having a very short window to view the Memorial only and nothing else in order to catch the return shuttle. The communication between customers/passengers and employees/drivers needs to be improved significantly. There was a lack in confirmation and details of the transportation process to our destination. We confirmed prior multiple times with a representative that our pick-up site would be at our hotel. However, on the day of our departure, we were told to meet the shuttle at another pick-up site, which was more than a 10 minute walk and unfortunately not convenient for my family since we have a disabled member. After arriving to the new pickup location, my family and I were greeted with a disrespectful welcome in front of the entire group of passengers in the shuttle. Multiple remarks were made about inconveniencing everyone's time. Definitely an unwelcoming experience. It is unfortunate my family and I had to adjust to their schedule for their lack of communication. read more

Wow! We did the Pearl Harbor tour with Uncle Benny. He was humorous, kind, and extraordinarily helpful. I was traveling with my Dad who has mobility issues and Benny went WAY above and beyond the scope of my expectations. He safely got us to the Pearl Harbor destination, gave us excellent guidance within the area to know which restrooms are cleanest, where to sit on the boat to Arizona, best times to catch the film, etc. We were able to see everything within the time alotted thanks to his guidance. The trip back to the hotel is where Benny truly went above and beyond helping my Dad and myself more than I'd ever expect making traveling with somebody with mobility issues so much easier. I am forever grateful and will recommend Benny and Karma tours to anyone asking. read more

Insecure tour agency. TERRIBLE customer service. I recommend you TO DO NOT BOOK absolutely anything with this company. They did not provided any service for what we paid for. The "tour guide" left us on our own, took our properties in his bus and when we are requesting our refund, a "manager" and a guy hang up un us twice and advised us to "WE ARE NOT GOING TO HELP YOU WITH ANYTHING, CALL 911 WAIT FOR THE POLICE AND YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN NOW, MAHALO" like seriously??? We are tourists which have no idea where we are standing at right this second and we're excluded from the minimum services which was transportation back to our location. We are not only left alone and feel insecure but we are not able to join any of the memorials. It's being 2 and a half hours since we were dropped on our own anyways and still haven't done not even the Arizona memorial. The bus will leave 3 hours from the time they drop you, so trust me, you will not have time to do anything, do yourself a favor by saving time and money and some dignity by doing a self guided tour, will be cheaper. Please help yourself and do not bother booking here. The absolute disrespect. If you are trying to have a nice time, don't join these people. We are requesting the call recordings to file our dispute with our bank since they are trying to steal from our money and time. This is a theft. read more

We never got a chance to go on the tour. I cancelled about 32 hours before the start of the tour (they require 24). They responded 27 hours before the tour start saying I cancelled too late and they would happily sell the seats to someone else and keep the money I had paid (full amount). I told them it was more than 24 hours ahead and got no response. I've challenged this with the credit card company. Their customer services seems to lose interest quickly when they aren't making a sale. read more

Our family took the Pearl Harbor tour with Karma Tours -- however the tour itself was a bit misleading. The highlights for our family was getting to see the USS Arizona Memorial, taking in the Pearl Harbor history and our tour guide Charlie! He was the best and super knowledgeable about Hawaiis history. The misleading part was the duration of the tour (estimate 4 hours from pickup time) when the Memorial and the museum can be done easily in 2 hours or under. All other exhibits were at an additional cost which wasn't disclosed at the start of the tour. read more

My family and I did the Pearl Harbor and USS Missouri tour with Karma Tours. We had a wonderful experience. Our guide was Art. He was knowledgeable, kind, funny and very caring. throughout the entire time, He checked in to make sure we were enjoying it and that my parents were doing ok ( they are in their 70's). The information and history he shared throughout the tour was worth it by far. It was also very evident he had a high level of respect and appreciation for the military. We had one person on our tour who was a veteran and he personally thanked him several times for his service. He also made sure everyone was dropped off at their hotels at the end of the tour. SCAM ALERT! You can get the boat and admission tickets for the USS Arizona Memorial FOR FREE. (The memorial and boat shuttle to the memorial are run by the federal government, so there is no charge for tickets.) Go to www.recreation.gov/ticket/233338/ticket/16. This company is essentially charging $79/person (as of 8/5/23) for a shuttle ride to the free boat ride provided by the government. In my opinion, the company's website is intentionally misleading to trick people into paying for free tickets - the sheer volume of similar negative reviews on Yelp and other sites (some of which the owner has responded to) indicates that the owner knows people feel misled and scammed, yet the description on the company's website remains vague at best, intentionally deceptive at worst. If you are looking for an expensive shuttle ride to the memorial and want someone to hand you some otherwise free tickets - then you do you. But don't be tricked into using this company because it (via Viator) is one of the first things that pops up when you Google "Pearl Harbor tour" or "USS Arizona Memorial tour." Again, the tickets are free (with a $1 reservation fee) at recreation.gov. Also, you can get tickets the day-of on-site (without the $1 fee). Good luck and happy travels! read more

I booked this tour through TripAdvisor. I immediately got the email confirmation, but pickup time was not listed. Karma Tours was listed as the tour company so I called. The guy who picked up was extremely rude and said "we'll call tonight okay". I asked for a ballpark pickup time and he said "no" and hung up. Not a great first contact experience. I finally get an email 6 hrs later with pickup details. The next day Hema (driver) picks us up. She immediately thanks us for being tourists, said she was furloughed, tourism is slow, she doesn't have money, hard to pay bills, etc. Hema is nice, but her personal situation is not what I want to hear on my vacation. Also, she drove recklessly and we were almost in an accident. We get to Pearl Harbor and she hands us Arizona tickets and tell us to be back at car in 1.5 hrs. I'm thinking 'WTF aren't you coming with us, you're the tour guide right??" We get back at the car at the designated time and she tell us we're going back to the hotel, but we're going to drive past a cemetery, Punchbowl, and some random places. I say "Wait a min, what happened to the rest of the Pearl Harbor tour? This was supposed to be a 6 hr Pearl Harbor tour as stated on TripAdvisor, and these random places are not mentioned on TripAdvisor." Hema says she's not a tour guide, only a driver. Apparently she hears many complaints, the last as recently as the day before! She says she understands why we're mad, she hates her job, understands why we feel cheated, etc., but the owner tells her what to do and she does it as she wants to keep her job. She knows the tour listed on TripAdvisor is misleading, but apparently the owner doesn't care when she voices her opinion and concerns. I ask her to take us back to the hotel because I want just this experience to end. On the way back shes drives recklessly, and almost hits another car again!! She ends up giving me the owner's name and personal phone number. I call him and he starts complaining about how he's tour guiding 40+ people at that moment, how he's short staffed, how his days are long, etc. I tell him I'd like a refund and he immediately shuts me down. Hema acknowledges the owner is like that. I call him again the next day and he hangs up on me after saying "No refund!" A horrible customer experience! Beware of Karma Tours!! We had a great time with Koki on the Honolulu City Lights & Art Murals Tour. We travelled around downtown visiting the colorful murals painted by international artists for the PowWowFestival. We also made a stop at a beach for photos and then headed up to the state park overlooking Honolulu. We were in a Jeep and should have asked to take the top off to give better views, but we preferred the AC! read more

We booked a private Manoa Falls hike with Karma. There was some confusion at first about pick up locations. However after we got that worked out, Sergei was a charming and knowledgeable host! Aside from that I will say we booked a tour through Viator and Karma tours is apparently contracted with them. We ultimately paid $158 for transportation to and from our hotel in Waikiki. Now here is the lack of complete business integrity. The day before our scheduled tour, I received a call to confirm our pickup at our hotel. I explained that we did NOT NEED a pickup since we were already going to be at Pearl Harbor earlier in the day for another tour. I asked to just have them meet us in the park to give us our tickets to the uss Arizona. They said they weren't allowed to do that. So I asked if we could meet somewhere closer to the park. After two calls to a supervisor, She sent a text with the address. We walked over a mile from the park to the location supplied in the text. As we were walking we got a call asking where we were. The shuttle bus was waiting at our HOTEL for us. Really??? I told the rep we wouldn't be there! So they said they would be there in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later I called and they were waiting for us at another address. So now 3 screwed up communications. Just keeps getting better. My curiosity is peaked now wondering WHAT I paid $158 for. So I walked up to the USS Arizona info booth and find out the tickets are FREE. Without tickets in hand, we could wait in a will call line to take the boat across. We did that and we were on the boat 15 minutes prior to our previous tickets supplied by the tour / transport company. So now I TRULY paid $158 for NOTHING. We didn't need the shuttle to get to the memorial, we didn't need the tickets and we didn't need the shuttle back to our hotel. This company completely took advantage of the situation and sold us services we DID NOT NEED and KNOWINGLY let us proceed without the ability to cancel the day of. A complete rip-off and a disgrace to a company who should be looking out for their customers NOT just their bottom line. I hope karma pays back Karma Tours . read more

We paid for tour pickup from OUR hotel, but the day before the tour was scheduled, we were instructed to walk to another hotel several blocks away. Karma Tour manager was ugly on the phone and actually hung up on us as we were trying to figure out why we had to walk somewhere else when our receipt clearly indicated pickup at OUR hotel. This was false advertising on the part of the company. We chose this company BECAUSE they picked up at our hotel. We did end up walking to the other hotel because we had no choice (or had to forfeit the $275 we paid for the tour). Tour guide, David, was very informative and quite entertaining. The tour itself was well done. The manager of Karma Tours was horrible. Would not recommend this company -- there are plenty of other tour companies in Hawaii. read more

We did the Arizona Memorial tour. Overall, the transportation they offered was fine and our tour guide Charles was nice and very funny. I ran into issues with their advertising and their transportation system. I booked a tour for 10:30 and received a confirmation for 11:50. When I called to ask about this, I was told that it was because 10:30 was not available so they just adjusted as needed. When I asked how long the entire tour was I was told 3.5-4 hours. It was unclear that this included pickup at a bunch of different locations and the scenic route to Pearl Harbor. All in all the drive there from waikiki took an hour because of this and then was supposed to take an hour back, leaving time only to see the Arizona Memorial and nothing else at the Pearl Harbor Museum. All in all, not worth the complication of booking with this company. read more
