This pizza and extras were spectacularly DELICIOUS!!! The pizza was delivered on time and the order was accurate. General consensus of the group was.. the best pizza we've had in a long time!!

Tasted fine if you don't mind the sloppiness.

Just received our delivered pizza and the toppings are all smashed and the cheese is pushed onto a portion of the pizza. Doesn't appear to have happened during delivery because the toppings are not all over the box. I was also charged more than I was told over the phone. Pizza still tasted fine and it was delivered slightly earlier than expected.

Was driving through Michigan with my bro and his three fantastic wee ones in tow. The kids were hungry and we'd been driving for quite awhile, a food pit stop sounded like a great idea. He was driving and I was scanning reviews for a decent, family style place to stop. Due to traffic we took a different route which brought us through the area. A quick call to the number I found on Yelp and discovered they were still open and could accommodate us for dinner. It was a weeknight and the place was empty except for a few take out orders. The decor was dated and the business looked to be family run. Per the menu it's been a family business since its start in 1979. The business switched hands to the now current owning family in 2000. Decent place with tables and seating accommodating any size group whether it be a couple or a group of six. The restaurant is clean, well lighted and suited for a family gathering. Pizza takes time to prepare and since I would assume families come here often, ownership had put in a small game room with arcade games and the novelty crane machine where one tries to win a stuffed animal. (Bring quarters because they don't keep that stocked) We ordered a few different items since we had one that dines gluten free. A couple pizzas, a plate of fries and a special salad for our special one, of onions, tomato slices and cucumbers without the seeds. We could tell the waitress found the salad order odd, but it gets tiresome to explain food allergies. Service took its time and I don't think they either know or have the mindset to be more available. I mean, it's a restaurant which has served the area for many years but I don't think it's ever that busy like that of any pizzeria found in a greater, populated area. So, don't go expecting too much. I find that in slower places, lowering my expectations is best. Pizza was good but it took its time, I would probably go back again if I ever found myself in this area with the same people. Restaurant staff was inviting and there was some good back and forth conversation. The kids enjoyed and we had a good time. The stars are for the charm of the people behind the pizza. The good service, though I will admit it was slow and when we needed things we had to get up and ask for someone to stop by our table. Free and ample parking.

Walking in feels like the universe hit pause somewhere in the best way. Same feel, same energy, same kind of place you can count on without thinking twice. It's like being teleported back to exactly where you're supposed to be. And the food? Exactly what it should be. No pretending to be healthy, no overthinking it. Just straight, unapologetic comfort. I go there for one thing every time: the hot beef sandwich. Massive. Smothered in gravy... and I mean gravy everywhere. The kind where you don't just eat it, you commit to it. Fries? Those are getting dipped in gravy too, no question. It's excessive in the best possible way. The portions are out of control. You're not finishing it. You're not even pretending to. You're leaving with enough leftovers for the next couple of days and you're not mad about it. It's the kind of meal that feels a little sinful, but worth every second. You'll deal with forgiveness later. Hometown, no-frills, real-deal comfort food that hasn't lost its identity over time. And honestly, that's rare.

The bar was quiet, calm, dark and cold but seemed like a chill vibe. Our waitress was okay, service was quick and she did her job well but didn't smile and wasn't very talkative or seemingly friendly. We asked what her favorite appetizers were and we ordered the Loaded Potato Balls based on her recommendation - they were great! 10/10! Loaded with flavor, very moist and served with 3 sauces - ranch, spicy ranch and sour cream. The ranch and spicy ranch were not great - tastes like they're bottled not homemade. The sour cream though, that was a good compliment. We both ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich - 10/10! They're hand breaded, juicy and tender chicken breasts topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo on a perfectly warm brioche bun. Our meal was served so hot, it was perfect. I would absolutely go back just for this sandwich! The homemade chips for the side were great, crispy and lightly seasoned. I had the tater tots with mine and they tasted freezer burnt, wouldn't get them again. We also had a side of their house made coleslaw and it was perfect, ice cold and a great balance of flavor. Draft beer wasn't super cold - it would be better served in a frosted glass. Overall- it's good, we'd come again! Next time we'd sit at the bar top as the bartenders seemed to enjoy more casual conversation and friendly vibes with their customers.

I liked them when they were in the area, but for the most part, have closed many years ago. Never had a bad meal with them, just didn't frequent them often enough, I guess. LOL. Anyway, I went to Dow Gardens in Midland on July 4th, so getting something to eat on the way home was very limited. Most places were closed and I really didn't want fast food. I stopped at Birch Run since on the way up I noticed that it was partially open, and after struggling to find a sit down place to eat at, I got lucky here. Walking in, the place wasn't busy and I was seated right away. I reviewed the menu and couldn't remember what I'd gotten before, but even if I did, I'm sure they've changed the menu so I went with Dave's cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and an Arnold Palmer. The food here was really good albite slightly expensive. I was willing to spend a few more dollars for a good meal, so I'm okay with that. What I like about dining here is they truly make their own stuff. If I remember correctly, they also make their own pop, and dipping sauces, leaving Coke and Pepsi in the dust. My server was great, and my food was good, so I'd gladly come back here again when in the area. I know Birch Run isn't what it used to be, but I can almost always count on them having something to eat along with some places to shop at when I'm in the area. Plus, they're close to Frankenmuth, which is a bonus. Overall, better then some lunches I've had in the area, and open on a holiday! YAY!

Very clean inside with friendly service and a tap beer selection that's basic but probably has something to suit most folks. I went for the Stone IPA. I ordered a turkey reuben. The sandwich was a little light on meat and a little heavy on some too--creamy coleslaw. The bread stayed crisp at least, and wasn't overly greasy. Good enough for a pit stop, and a nice laid back alternative to Birch Run's chain restaurant offerings over toward the outlet mall.

The positive was the staff the Bartender/Waiter was very sweet and nice tried to make everything just right. The restaurant itself is very clean and I bet the outside is amazing during warmer months. This was Veterans Day weekend and they did get quite busy so the time it took to get our food was very long but I had good company so it was fine. However the food was just lacking it looked quite appetizing but just lacked any flavor. The olive burger was very bland and my burger was dry and charred, my sister had a Reuben and although I do consider her a Reuben snob, she is picky, but I agreed with her the meat was very dry. My husband had the Rodeo burger which he enjoyed but said it wasn't worth the price. We visit this area all the time since I have family there, but I'm not sure I would give this place another shot if given the chance.
