I've been here a few times but today I got Cindy and she was really wonderful. My feet were long overdue for a pedicure. She did such a good job with the callous remover and was able to get my feet looking and feeling brand new. She also was able to nail down the perfect nude nail color. I just went in yesterday for my first time and brought my little daughters with me. The ladies who did my daughters' nails were great. My daughters are 4 and 7, and the estheticians were gentle and kind to them. One of them even offered to put cute floral designs on her nails for $6 extra, and then went above and beyond. My mani and pedi were quick. The pedi stayed on and I loved the color. The nail polish on my thumbs started to sink to the sides so the lady at the front desk was nice enough to redo it since my original esthetician was already helping someone else. The real reason I'm writing is because, not even 24 hours later, the nail polish started to peel from three of my nails. The video I'm posting shows what it looks like. I feel bad wanting to come in to have it redone, but it didn't even last a whole day. The salon is closed for now so I'm hoping that they will still take me and help me tomorrow. read more

Honestly the man that did my nails was super nice, there was just a huge language barrier, but thats not the issue at all. 1. I asked to pick a color and the options, he brings me one set to choose from, I ask if he has any brow polish since I only saw a few in the set he gave me, he then just points to all the brown options in the set that I saw and wasn't drawn to. This took longer than necessary so I settled for color 216, pretty shade, but not what I wanted going in. Whatever, not a big deal. 2. He doesnt clean my nails. He filed them, clipped excess dead skin, but didnt clean the inside of my nails. They weren't dirty, but something I noticed him skip. Also no oil applied after for cuticles. 3. When he applied polish, didnt ask if I liked it. He just continued on painting. Thankfully it was a nice color so I didn't mention it. 4. Here is where things took a turn. Paints nails twice on each (great) applied one top coat, then leaves to go start a pedicure for another customer. Totally fine, it happens. As I sit there I notice the sides of my nails aren't filly painted. My nails also shown inconsistencies of application, with my nail color being darker and thicker on top, then this out at the bottom, sort of like an ombré effect. Lastly, the top coat began to bubble. With all this, I built up the courage to say something but respectfully because it got so busy. I told him to take his time in coming back. Once he did, he poked the top of one of my nails to release the air and then applied another top coat. He didnt even check the rest of my nails just did the one nail and said "there." I told him the bubbles are still visible, he doesnt see it, so I take a picture to show him. He then removes the polish and redoes the one nail. But only applied one coat of nail polish, then one coat of top coat. He smiled for approval, I was exhausted and said ok even though the one coat makes my nail seem way lighter than the rest. I felt horrible for not tipping, they are great people, just left with my nails not being anywhere near the bare minimum. I paid the $25 dollars and left. I wish them all the best, I will not be returning. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for 6 months on and off I think the girl that does my nails (Lea) does a great job and I always tip her good - however these were also done by her 2 weeks ago and my appointment was at 6pm and close at 7. I felt she rushed, didn't measure all nails the nail polish is simply bad, the gel makes my nails look wavy. Not professional. Not worth $60. The last two times I came here for a regular mani pedi because I hate the process of getting gel manicure off. I feel like they are very messy and rush the process of a manicure. The polish was all over my cuticles, I had to ask them to remove it and even then it wasn't clean. The lady who filed my nails also did a pretty bad job. I asked for round and one part of my nail seems to have been filed off at an angle. I didn't have any issues with my pedicure though. They do provide you a free beverage usually, I wasn't offered one when they were very busy though. I don't think I'll be coming back again. Response to reply: My last visit was 9/13, I was helped by Heidi and Lee. I don't remember who did which, but the one who did my pedicure well was more fluent in English. They changed a lot of their staff in the last two years. All the reliable nail techs have gone and a bunch of new people are there. First of all, this salon is updated and has newer manicure and pedicure stations. They have a pretty good selection of colors and it is in a convenient location across from CSUSM. This is one of the few locations in the area open on Sunday. Otherwise, I go to Joy in Ocenaside on weekends because that salon can handle a lot of clients at once. I was meeting a friend for lunch near here and walked in at 9:30 AM and they didn't open until 10 AM. The one lady there kindly took me in for a pedicure and gel removal / regular manicure. The other staff started arriving ten minutes later. It was funny because all the women started prepping towels or setting up and two guys just sat in massage chairs and played on their phones while clients filtered in! This isn't my salon of choice, but it is better than to GoBahli's in the Nordstrom Rack plaza. Note that they overcharged me a lot (billed me for a gel mani when it was a regular), but when I went back in they fixed it. Check your itemized bill! Note that I paid the following: regular pedicure $29.00, regular mani $22.00 and gel removal $7.00. It was a strong powder dip with gel on top that had 6 weeks of nail growth. Props to the young lady who did my powder gel removal and manicure. She did it gently and carefully without damaging my natural nail. She also cleaned my cuticles well. read more

During the process the person also cut her finger. I went back and asked them for a refund so we could get her fingers done at another store. I should have read the reviews or looked at the rating at least before coming here! From the moment I walked in, the scent of acetone was so strong- one of the strongest I've been to. I wondered why they kept their doors closed. I was shortly seen by a nail technician before I was even ready to choose my color she rushed me to her booth. They were clearly over staffed and the other employees kept chatting with each other, whilst also distracting my nail tech. They showed her photos on their phone and kept chatting with her. The nail tech paused each time they chat with her and she was also impatient with me. "Why don't you get gel here?" "You don't do pedicure? Then pay now". All this time, I know she's not in a good mood, but I was going to let that go. She was impatient and had terrible customer service. The hot towel was extremely hot and she placed it on me because she didn't want to waste her precious time to cool it a little. She even cut me a few times. One cut was so big that she had to use styptic powder to stop the bleeding (shown in photo). It fucking hurts. All this for $29+tip to give myself a bad time. I really need to read reviews before visiting a new place from now on. Took over an hour to just get a regular manicure. The reason why I decided to write the review was because she refused to redo one of my nails. There was hair on one of them so I nicely asked her to do something about it. There were many bubbles on the other one because of her rushing to apply the nail polish. The one with hair, she gouged out with a toothpick then later tried to fill in the hole poorly. At this time, I was getting impatient so I asked her to redo it since it's very simple (not gel), just put on polish. I also asked her to redo the one next to it since there were many bubbles. She refused at first because she didn't see them. She refused to see them, so I asked her to call another person here to see if they could see it then. She refused to, so she redid the bubbles nail while still emphasizing that there were no bubbles. I'm still trying to be patient with her, but as she redid the hair nail, she accidentally messed it up again when she brushed off my hands with her hands then blamed me. "Be careful with your nails" was said at least five times with her walking back and forth sweeping up the shop. There was still 30 mins to closing and there was also another customer there. They deserve zero stars, but the one star is for the food network channel they had playing. It did keep me entertained. read more

I just had a pedicure with Cindy and it was awful. She rushed each step and at the end my polish was not smooth and when I mentioned it to her she said it was my nail. I asked if the polish needed to be swapped, not sure how black looks dull and lumpy unless the paint was old. She reluctantly "fixed" 4 of the toes and left the other to not be painted all the way to the edges. She isn't clean in how she works and her poor service stands out, when the rest are giving lovely service. This was my second time going to this place for a pedicure. The first time was awesome and the young man did a great job. Today was my second time and what a disaster. My nail technician literally CUT my skin right below my big toe cuticle. She stated that there was a hang-nail she had to cut off which was not true, because hang nails are not in the location. I started to bleed and she ran off to get some sort of liquid to put on it. Before I could object, she put the liquid on my bleeding cut and pressed the tip of the bottle directly on the cut, blood and all! She also did a horrible pedicure! She used a callous remover on my heels and barely filed them, so my heels still look terrible. My toenails are squared, but they are sharp on the edges. When I checked out, I was asked by the young man receptionist if I was happy with my pedicure and I told him what happened. He said, "I'm so sorry for this..I'll let the owner know". How would you like to pay your $55.00?" Wow! I will never go back to this place and I advise that you think twice before going. I rarely feel the need to post reviews, but I can't let this one go. Came here today for a full set of long acrylic nails with design and a gel pedicure. I have a lot of mixed feelings. My nail tech Alana did my nails beautifully and the shape was amazing. The price was a little high with all the separate up-charges (see my receipt). My gel pedicure was just ok. The lady forgot to massage, and they charge $24 extra for gel color on top of a regular pedicure price of $22. Again a bit much. Also the lady couldn't understand anything I was asking her so communication was a little tough. Lastly I'm not sure what the extra $20 surcharge called "check" is at the bottom of my receipt. Oh and I paid a $20 deposit on Venmo to book my nail appointment. Pretty dang expensive. Oh one more thing: I was here for 4 hours!!!!! That's a little long... I usually do not post negative reviews. In the last 2 months I have been coming here my experience hasn't been bad. My nails have come out good and the service was good. I came in on Friday and my nails looks great, but later that day my fingers started swelling and became so itchy and continued on until Monday morning. I believe that I was having some type of reaction to the acrylic or the gel and knew I needed to remove my nails. I came back in the following Monday and asked to get my nails removed. A lady in the back said you were here the other day for a set why you want to take them off and laughed. I had to respond saying I'm having an allergic reaction in front of the whole place, which was embarrassing for me and I felt that's was pretty rude coming from her. I was quickly put in a chair to get the process started. He starts buffing, clipping, and then proceeds to take a extra nail to pry the acrylic off my fingers. Each nail he tried to pry off gets more painful, because I just had a fill less than 3 days before. By the third nail, I'm in full tears and shaking. By the fourth I feel like I'm gonna pass out. A young lady comes by and sees my nails being butchered, she says ouch and then says something to the gentleman working on my nails. From then on he soaked my nails in acetone before buffing the acrylic off. Which I was grateful for, because there was no way I wouldn't be able to make it through the rest. I will spare photos but 4 of my nails have massive cracks at the base that were bleeding and that are still incredibly painful. I am currently keeping them together with liquid bandaids and a prayer. Getting freshly done acrylics that have been filled multiple times pried off your nail is probably the most painful experience I have ever had. And that's not even considering the allergic reaction I was already having. Even though most of the people that have helped me here have been nice, even the gentleman that took of my acrylics today. I will not be coming back. Paying $50 for a fill plus tip, then coming back a few days later for a unforgettably painful removal for another $15 plus tip is obviously not worth it. read more

I want to start by saying that everyone at the salon is really great at what they do and very talented. However, I have a few concerns. I made an online booking for a specific technician and confirmed the appointment a few days in advance. When I arrived, they asked what services I needed, which I thought they should already know from the booking. They also didn't inform me that I would have a different technician. I don't mind since everyone is good, but it would have been nice if they had at least mentioned it. Eventually, I asked about the nail tech I had specifically requested. They apologized and explained that he would be working as the receptionist that day. This information could have been provided during the online booking process. I met the other receptionist , she was there, and not busy. Also I asked about that specific nail tech 4 visits now, always busy, lol it was as if he was avoiding me ‍ While I was happy with my nails, I was not satisfied with how the online booking was handled so I'm giving 4 stars. read more

He told me to stop moving multiple times but that was pretty hard because he was stretching my arm out across my stomach mind you I'm 8 months pregnant so that didn't feel good at all! Terrible quality and horrific customer service from one tech in particular, Amy. Every time she does my nails it's rushed and sloppy, but the worst part is that she gets inappropriately irritated and annoyed whenever I politely ask her to do the bare minimum or fix something. I just can't make excuses for this place anymore. I showed Amy a very basic French tip inspiration photo, which she looked at for less than 3 seconds. She grabbed a base color that was 4 shades darker than my skin tone and got upset when I asked for a lighter shade. She rushed through the shaping and got irritated when I asked if she could make all nails the same shape and length (bare minimum). I tried not to let the little things bother me because I just didn't want to face her annoyed sighs, which made me really uncomfortable. But the worst part is the quality on the French tip.....the tip takes up half of my nail which makes them look shorty and stubby instead of that sleek crescent shape. And the pink tips were sloppy and misshaped. As she was doing it I asked if she could look at the inspo pic again and she refused - said she already saw it. At that point I just gave up on the whole experience. While I was checking out I told her I was really disappointed in the quality and that she made the entire 3 hour experience very uncomfortable for me. She told me to go back tomorrow so someone can fix it.....I'm sorry but that response is so unacceptable. On top of all of that, she uncharged me. I honestly shouldn't have agreed to pay full price for something I'm this disappointed in. I plan on calling management tomorrow so other people don't have to go through this experience too. read more
