I feel like I've had this place in my saved files forever and just now headed over for a late lunch…read moredate to check them out. I notice it can get quite busy around dinner time so I'd recommend reservations are expect to wait. The location is pretty small, but offers indoor and outdoor seating. We lucked out and were seated right away at a nice table near the back. After looking over the menu for a minute, we decided to try their pepperoni pizza, garlic bread, as well as a Caesar salad salad. We also ordered a few drinks. Service was friendly and it was a little noisy with a large party and a few other tables but still quite enough to have nice conversation. It's quite nice inside but doesn't feel overly fancy. I liked that we could see the cook making her pizza and putting it in the fire burning oven everything that came out to other tables looked delicious and smelled heavenly. We're already talking about when we're gonna come back and try so many things. The pizza is thin crust delicious, and didn't feel heavy after we were done eating. It was gluten-free . I don't have issues with gluten, but the pizza was just delicious. My husband said it was one of the best Caesar salads. He's had the garlic bread was good as well. It was a great stop and I'm glad we stopped in to check it out.

The pizza here tasted like cardboard, lacked any flavor, and the salad was the same case. I've had better frozen pizza unfortunately. We ordered tiramisu, hoping this would be a little better, but we were met with disappointment again. The tiramisu was dry, lacked any coffee flavor, and had piles high of whipped cream and chocolate sauce to hide the inauthenticity. Service was not there either, one person operating all the tables during happy hour, who forgot waters and salad dressings when we asked. I understand it's hard when it's busy, but then management needs to hire more servers or hosts at least. Won't be going back here again.

: Exceptional Food and Outstanding Heart at Barro's!…read more Barro's continues to be an absolute favorite for our family, and for good reason! Not only is the food consistently incredible, but the entire atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and genuinely community-focused. What truly sets them apart for us is how accommodating they are. Navigating food allergies can often be stressful, but Barro's makes it effortless by offering fantastic vegan and gluten-free options that don't compromise on flavor. Everyone in the family gets to enjoy a delicious, worry-free meal. Beyond the incredible food, it's the little touches and exceptional customer service that turn a great restaurant into a special one. During a recent visit, while we were waiting, and coming in from the scorching hot weather, one of their staff members, Niko, noticed and stepped up in the kindest way. He brought us a complimentary drink cup, wished us well, and simply went about his day. It's those small, thoughtful gestures of genuine hospitality that make a lasting impression and keep us coming back. Thank you, Niko, and thank you to the wonderful team at Barro's for always taking such great care of us!

The restaurant staff is helpful and friendly. The lines can get long and the wait can be a while but if you go at the right time...the food I always fresh and hot and the salad bar is worth it. We moved to town and go often now.

My wife was out of town so I decided to try Arizona Pizza Company. I was skeptical but the price seemed reasonable so I decided what the heck. The pizza was delivered by Uber Eats and it was still warm which is unusual for them. The pizza was actually delicious. Plenty of toppings, not slopped in sauce and actually cut all the way through. The cheese was really good as well. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

When I gave my name at the counter, the young lady told me they were working on a huge order and that my pizzas would be another three minutes. My order was not ready until 11:37. I understand large orders happen, but customers who place orders in advance should still be valued and accommodated. What disappointed me most was that no effort was made to acknowledge the inconvenience. A simple apology or even offering a soda while I waited would have gone a long way toward good customer service. Instead, the manager seemed focused only on the large order and not the customers who were also waiting. To be honest, I already find the pizzas mediocre, and the only reason I chose AZ Pizza instead of Barro's Pizza was because it was what my coworker wanted. Unfortunately, this experience confirmed that I will not be returning.

Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.

World-class pizza in AZ!…read more I have traveled the world and had many Pizzas, and this is hands-down one of the best pizza places I've ever experienced. Tucked away in the Westgate Mall, it's a compact, modern little spot that likely gets buzzing during the lunch hour. The service is excellent--you just order at the counter and they bring the pizza out to you. If you're in the area, do not pass this up. We'll absolutely be returning on our next trip to Arizona!
