Parking can be tricky. Safe area. We've stayed tons at the hotel next door and would walk to the restaurant with our children. They keep the lot clean too. The restaurant staff is helpful and friendly. The lines can get long and the wait can be a while but if you go at the right time...the food I always fresh and hot and the salad bar is worth it. I visited Barro's Pizza on Verrado yesterday (7/21/26), and I have to say I've never experienced customer service this poor here before. I've been coming to this location for years and am usually helped by the sweetest young ladies, but yesterday's experience was so bad that I actually went out of my way to ask for the employee's name, which is something I never do. Jocelynn was slouching behind the register and had an attitude from the moment I walked up. Ordering my usual meal, which has never been an issue before, suddenly became unnecessarily complicated, and every question I asked was met with a rude tone that made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. On top of that, I felt pressured to leave a tip despite the poor service. When my food was brought out, she didn't bring any plates or napkins, and what really bothered me was watching her charge me for ranch while giving another customer ranch for free and telling him, "Don't worry about it." Seeing that kind of inconsistency was frustrating and made me feel like I was being treated differently for no reason. I've supported this location for years, and customer service has never been an issue until Tuesday. I sincerely hope management sees this review and takes the time to properly train their new employees because this experience was completely unacceptable and not what loyal customers should expect. read more

I go back to Barro's from when I was a kid over 4 decades ago. Barro's was a staple in our house in the SGV. Unfortunately, the So Cal Barro's pizza's that are left [just 2 or 3] are not the original Barro's family. But luckily my daughter had an assignment in Scottsdale AZ for a couple of months and we would go out and visit her. Imagine our surprise when she told us that we were going to this pizza placed called Barro's. Must be a coincidence BUT it was not. It is part of the family and it is just as good as I remember it. On this trip to AZ, daughter gets on the phone asking when we were going to get home and asked us to pick up a pizza on the way home. See, the boys would never ask you to bring a pizza home to So Cal from AZ but... well you know daughters always get their way! This location was as far west as we could buy a pizza to take home. Ordering was easy on the phone, the people were polite and 30 minutes later when we got here we quickly picked up our medium pepperoni and kept heading home. Yes, smelling it for at least an hour. If you're looking for a sit down restaurant with the family this is not the place for you. Horrible customer service. There is no table service. You have to stand in line to order your food. While they bring the food to your table they do not provide plates. You have to walk to the counter and ask for them. When asking for silverware I was told the plastic forks are right there. I asked for a glass of water and was given a water cup as if I was at McDonald's. No one came to clean the used plates from our table. My husband cleared the table. My father in law picked up pizza crust from the ground that several employees walked past ignoring. We've always done take out never dine in but I would not recommend this place. read more

This review is being written about great customer service. Friday night and my wife decides she doesn't want to go anywhere. So I get on Barro's website to order dinner. It takes me to DoorDash ( Ughhhhh). I place the order at 6:15 and the order finally arrives at 8:20 pm. I live 1/4 mile away. Yes I should have picked it up. Anyway, I open the first box and the pizza is 100 pct wrong. I open up the second box, wings, not spaghetti. Are you kidding me after 2 hours the whole order is wrong???I contacted DoorDash and they told me sorry , nothing wrong here. Huh???? I sent you pictures of the wrong order being delivered and you still declined my claim. I got into the car and drove up to the restaurant. The young lady behind the counter got the manager (Danny). I told him what happened, showed him that DoorDash denied my claim. He was flabbergasted that they could do that. He said he would be right back. Danny came back after a few minutes and said he would remake our whole order and expedite it. After 10 minutes ( now almost 9 pm)I was out the door with HOT food and a great customer experience. Danny took a major problem in my eyes and took care of the customer. For now on I will pick it up. DoorDash will not get my money again. Stop by with the kids after leaving the school for half day. It's a general new location in your store. And it was pretty quick it was the rush hour for lunch and they were lots of construction workers there and office staff they're trying to get in and out turn your lunchtime, so it was great everything was available. We were able to get things that we wanted exactly how we wanted it and it was a really good quick quick and easy lunch. If we are going for a quick lunch after school will definitely stop by again. read more

YUMMMMM.... I Rarely eat or crave pizza but when I do, it's Barro's pizza at this location. I live in LA. It's so cheesy, outer crust is fluffy, and the inner crust was crispy and golden enough. Definitely have to have it every time I visit. read more

I have been to this Barro's three separate times, since it has opened, now, with issues each time. I guess enough time passes that I feel like they should be doing better. They're not. I always do carry out for my family of four, and every time has been the same issue- late food and forgotten items which means even later food. In the past, I have placed the order and picked it up myself. This evening, however, I had my husband pick up our order on the way home from work. As per usual, the food was late- he texted me to let me know. Apparently, the order was not confirmed, either, because we received 1 out of 9 (paid for) sauces. My husband called the store and let them know the situation, the resolution was for him to pick the sauces up as well as a free two-liter. Forty minutes later (20 min each way) for the forty dollars of now cold and wasted food, we finally got the sauces! If you choose to dine here, don't plan to be on schedule and confirm your order, every time. There's plenty of other options around if you prefer not to deal with the hassle though- I'd recommend that. read more

SUPER-BOWL was a total disaster! We ordered a day early and had to wait for over 1 1/2 hrs for the pizza. Missed the first quarter and barely saw any of the 2nd. They were completely unprepared for the Super Bowl rush. It SUCKED!! The pizza is good. The wings are good. My girlfriend wanted to get pizza and we decided on this since it was close to the hotel. We were told it was gonna be 30 minutes for our pizza and salad.. when we get up there we were told that it was not ready and how it will only be another 10 minutes before it was done. That was not the case. 25 minutes later our pizza was finally done but was extremely greasy and had no toppings on it at all? The salad meat to lettuce ratio was a disaster and the restaurant just seemed really dirty. I saw one of the managers washer their face in the men's bathroom and thought that was absolutely disgusting. This was our first visit to this location and I was hoping it would be better than the reviews I read, however it wasn't meant to be. We ordered a medium Barrows Special, minus the green peppers and added black olives and italian sausage. We also ordered 12 traditional wings, sauce on the side. The wings came and they were boneless...don't really know why people like wings like this, they are all batter. The pizza came missing the ham all the other toppings were there. It was 3:30 in the afternoon and hardly a sole in the place, hard to believe they would get both things wee ordered wrong. Simply the Worst pizza I think I've ever eaten...period! We're traveling and it was a long day. We are staying literally right next door at the Fairfield Inn. It's 8:30pm and we decide to call and order and then go pick up! It's fairly busy on a Friday night. The pizza is ready and we go right back to hotel room We got 1 med and 1 small I got the small white pizza w/ricotta Greasy! Wimpy and soft and NOT CRISP AT ALL crust! Just horrible.
