Went to Godfathers for this first time last Saturday at this location and food was great and I will be back. I waited about 15 minutes for my food after the time of my online order said. I give them some slack but it was evident they were understaffed and need a new system to who and what handles orders. read more

Long waits, rude staff with poor customer service, and higher than average prices for just about everything in store.

I have been going here for years but only for lunch as you can get pizza slices. Very very consistent and prices are reasonable. The ambiance is fine but probably needs upgraded. Service is excellent with no waiting and generally friendly. Wish they would have a pizza slice with sausage and mushroom but I have been told that isn't going to happen. Guess I could just order a mini pizza and do it that way if that is still available. read more

The aroma of good fresh pizza will draw you into a place that is very welcoming. The dough is rolled fresh each day. The friendly staff and very knowledgeable Store Manager offers upscale service to all that enters. My entree of Cheese burger was full of tasty ingredients that were over the top. My Italian husband loves their pizza and I consider him an authority. His favorite is the meat lovers pizza with everything on it. I love their apple strudel dessert. We had a very pleasant experience for a Sunday night. We ordered a special, which was one side and one medium pizza for $14.99. Then, we also ordered two drinks since they have a coke freestyle machine! Their coke freestyle machine even had the sprite lymonade and Sprite Zero lymonade with flavors. Another one I went to didn't allow you to add extra flavors. The restaurant was very clean and quiet with only a couple other people eating. Our food was fresh and oh so delicious. This is the way they run this store. We ordered a pie and it took over an hour to get here, we live several MILES away, you could have walked the pie here quicker. The last time they delivered I watched the delivery monkey just drop the whole box/pie on the ground in front of the door. Called ahead Walked in on a Tuesday night. Our order was ready and we walked back to a quiet area. I had no problem with the food. In fact the Hawaiian pizza was changed up a little as requested. They usually put a different meat on the Hawaiian but i asked for the bacon bits with the pineapple. They were happy to do so and it was delicious. I called the store at 6:45 and was told "looks like it wasn't put out that long ago" but is still not here. if you want their pizza definitely try to pick up in store but i'm sure you'll have to wait hours too. Beware at this restaurant!! I ordered a very large pizza for delivery. When I was eating the last two pieces, I found a very long hair that didn't match my very short hair!! Just got takeout here and ordered two of their specialty pizzas with stuffed crust and an order of fried wings. Everything was really good. And stuffed crust at no extra charge is awesome. The stuffed crust actually packed a good amount of cheese too, so it's not a gimmick like some I have had. My coworkers told me to try this because it's one of their favorite delivery pizza places, and I have to agree. I'll be ordering from here again. And considering their fried wings are good, I'll try their hot wings as well next time. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. But one star goes to the delivery person. On time and very polite. Other than that- what a horrible let down! With so many pizza options these days, godfathers absolutely ranks at the bottom for me. My wife and I ordered a large taco pizza. We usually order from Casey's (our favorite) or Sarpinos (a good runner up) but we had a coupon and tried this location. Garbage. Garbage. Garbage I'm not even a big Internet guy and I took the time to get on here- that should tell you something. I don't think there was any base sauce on the pizza. My wife and I both took a couple of bites, looked at each other and set the pizza down. I can't think of any other descriptor besides cardboard. No flavor. I'm not picky about food, ever, and we threw away a large pizza. Skip the coupon and save yourself by going somewhere else. read more

I have never been a fan of godfathers and after my last visit I will never be back. We ordered pizza and I was craving wings so I took a chance. I ended up with a box of the smallest, most pathetic wings I've ever seen. I'm talking right off a newborn chick. I promptly returned them the store to get a refund. The children working there were not the slightest bit surprised or apologetic. Godfathers should take wings off their menu if this is what they consider acceptable. Lazy, inconsiderate managers. My daughter is an employee there. She makes 7.25 and hour and when she spent about 2 hours trying to get her car to start with jump-start, and which was dead because of extreme cold temps, she called in to report that she'd not be able to show up for shift that started in 45 minutes. Management had her call 3 different employees to find a replacement while she was freezing out in a parking lot trying to jump start her car. She spent about 15 minutes trying to contact coworkers, time she could have used calling a tow truck. She could not locate anyone to cover and notified management. When I called to ask why the manager couldn't find another worker to cover her shift, they replied that it's policy, and if employees don't find other worker 3 hours before their shift, they're written up! I know it is a chain restaurant and you can not expect your teenage workers to care about the food that is being served so this is why I will not be back to eat there. read more

This was an amazing trip down memory lane for my husband and I - not many Godfather's left in close proximity to us. The pizza was hot and fresh for dining in. The Super Combo had a lot of toppings but not a lot of cheese and was markedly better than Godfather's in gas stations. The counter staff was friendly and even gave us a coupon. The restrooms were clean and the place was well-lit and easy to find off of I-35. All in all, worth the stop if you spent your teenage years frequenting a Godfather's. read more

Pizza is good, but horrible service. Ordered 3 items all delivred at different times. Bread sticks came 20 minutes after first pizza.

They advertise delivery ending at 8:30 but I just called at 8:16 and they said it was too late. Heads up!

The food was pretty good, but one of the managers was incredibly rude to us and the kids at the counter. stood by us while we were ordering and jumped in every time we said something or asked a question and wouldn't let the poor kid taking our order get a word in. read more

I ordered 2 pizzas ( for delivery) 1/2 of one of the pizzas was not edible. It was almost to the point of burned. No cheese , sauce or meat. I called to complain to the manager, and they offered to make me another pizza. My family was so hungry , we decided it was not worth the trouble that night. We just didn't eat half of that pizza , therefore had less to eat. They sent me a " goof pon " in the mail , to make up for their mistake. I called 2 weeks later to use my goof pon , and they were going to charge me a 3.00 delivery charge! It's not that I can't pay the delivery charge of 3.00 , but it's the whole principle. What's the point of a goofpon , if I am going to get charged 3.00 for delivery, when I wasn't the one who messed up my pizza ! I talked to the manager about it , and she even put me on hold for 5 min to talk someone else in management. They would not budge on the 3.00 delivery charge ! Unbelievable! As I said .... it's the principle. They should want to make it right , since I'm the customer, and they are the ones who messed up in the first place. I'm a huge Godfather's fan and would order it every time I wanted pizza, without question, if my location would deliver! For crying out loud, the dining room I usually empty. They'd make a killing if they hired a driver! It's so frustrating that my friends near other locations in the Des Moines metro (i.e. Ankeny,IA) can have delicious pizza delivered whenever they want and I have to drive to get mine. Lazy? Sure. But I guarantee I'd order Godfathers a lot more if they brought it to my door! read more

Ok, it's a pizza chain restaurant, so I get that expectations shouldn't be high. But seriously, the staff here is just so incompetent! I've never found Godfather's pizza to be special enough to warrant higher prices than the other chains, but it is the only sit down pizza place located at this particular location. However, there is also a Domino's, Pizza Hut and Papa John's located on this intersection--I'd recommend any one of these other chains over this particular Godfather's. read more

Best pizza in town. Clean restaurant. They deliver now in the area which is also an added value. Quality product and their prices are in line with the delivered products. No need to eat or order pizza else where. read more
