This was my first time trying this kbbq sushi combo restaurant. I've been to quite a few kbbq sushi combo spots, and I wanted to give this place a shot because I had seen people promoting it online and the food in the pictures looked really good. Unfortunately, the actual experience was completely different from what I expected. The inside of the restaurant was just okay. Since the restaurant is relatively new, I expected the interior to feel more modern and updated, but the grill and stove looked very old and reminded me of the type of equipment you'd see at a much cheaper $20 Kbbq spot . I went during the afternoon and was literally the only customer there. The atmosphere just wasn't it, didn't feel very welcoming or lively. When I sat down, I had to scan a QR code and order everything from my phone. The pictures of the meat definitely looked appealing, but once the food arrived, the quality was nowhere near what I expected for the price. I ordered the Supreme option with the prime meats, and honestly, I was extremely disappointed. The cuts were very tough, and the quality did not feel like prime-quality meat at all. The marinated meats, including the kalbi, were not seasoned very well either. I've had better quality kbbq for less than $30, and honestly, those places weren't even close to being this disappointing. For the price I paid here, I expected significantly better quality. That was enough for me to stop ordering more meat. I also tried the sushi. I had seen people online showing off what looked like high-quality meat and large, fresh looking lobster, so I was expecting something much better. When my lobster arrived, I was shocked by how small it was. I've honestly had prawns bigger than that. At that point, I realized the online hype did not match what I was actually getting at the restaurant. Some of the sushi fish cuts were also very disappointing. The quality reminded me more of the type of sushi you'd find at an inexpensive ayce Chinese buffet rather than what I expected from a restaurant charging these prices. The banchan wasn't impressive either. It didn't taste particularly fresh, and overall it felt like very little attention was being given to the quality of the sides. The biggest issue for me, though, was the white rice. It had a strange smell and was overly moist. It did not taste or smell like freshly cooked rice to me, and I actually had to spit it out. That really turned me off from the entire meal. At that point, I basically stopped eating. I had only ordered one round of meat and sushi, took a few bites, and called it a day. I was extremely disappointed because I had been genuinely excited to try this place. Unfortunately, after eating there, I also felt sick to my stomach. I went in thinking this place might be as good as or possibly even better than my current favorite, Chubby Cattle, but unfortunately it wasn't even close in my experience. I really wanted to like this place, but the food quality, atmosphere, and overall experience did not justify the price for me. The online promotions made the restaurant look much better than what I personally experienced, which was honestly frustrating. For me, this was a first visit and definitely a last visit. I wish I had just stuck with the kbbq places I already know and enjoy. Very disappointing experience. Wish I didn't have to give it a star at all. Lesson learned: When you walk into a restaurant and the atmosphere immediately feels off, the equipment looks outdated, and you're the only customer there at dinner time... RUN THE OTHER WAY! I should've trusted my gut from the beginning.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Whenever I'm craving amazing quality AYCE sushi, authentic kimchi fried rice, and KBBQ, this is where I come. The quality of the sushi and Wagyu is far better than most of the spots I've tried in Irvine. They also have a ramen bar, which is a huge bonus. My favorite way to end the feast is with their cookies & cream ice cream and a Korean coffee. This time around, I was lucky enough to meet the owner, Brandon, and he was amazing! Experiences like this are why family-run businesses have such a great reputation. They genuinely care about the flavor, the quality of the meat, and the overall dining experience. You can tell there's pride behind everything they serve. Every visit leaves me full, happy, and already looking forward to the next one!

I was pleasantly surprised by Goginori! We made a dinner reservation for 7:00 PM and were seated within 5 minutes. I absolutely love that an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) restaurant offers reservations...honestly, being able to book ahead is an instant selling point for me. As someone who has been to practically every AYCE spot in Orange County, I had to see if this viral social media favorite lived up to the hype. We opted for the Premium Menu ($57.99), which includes both KBBQ and sushi. It features an incredibly efficient ordering system: Banchans are already on the table when you sit down, and you order everything directly from your mobile device. You can submit an order for up to 5 meats, 5 sushis, and 5 appetizers/sides every 5 minutes. The food comes out amazingly fast compared to other AYCE spots. 01. Sashimi Orders (Tuna, Salmon & Yellowtail) - 4 Stars - We were blown away by how fresh and high-quality the sashimi was. We were incredibly impressed right off the bat. 02. Bluefin Sushi (2 pp) - 5 Stars - WOW. We couldn't believe they offer bluefin on an AYCE menu. It had a beautiful, buttery richness that melted instantly and tasted exceptionally clean. We loved it so much that we maxed out the ordering limit (which I believe was 5 orders). It tasted remarkably like an Otoro cut...absolutely a must-order item. 03. KBBQ Meats - 4-5 Stars - The meat quality here is genuinely good, though it comes down to personal preference. Our server recommended their favorite cuts, and every single one was a winner. 04. Appetizers/Sides - 3-4 Stars - The Kimchi Fried Rice was a standout 4-star dish. The rest of the sides were a solid 3 stars: the fried chicken with powdered sugar was just okay, the steamed egg was decent, and the shrimp tempura and corn cheese were standard. The Spicy Tofu Soup was a bit bland on its own, but if you drop some brisket into the broth, it immediately upgrades the flavor. 05. Banchans 3 Stars - The side dishes were the only real letdown. The offerings looked a bit sad, and the cucumber and potato salads weren't very appetizing. We actually had to sprinkle some salt and pepper onto the potato salad just to give it some life. Don't get too excited for the banchan spread. LOCATION/PARKING - The restaurant took over the old Islands Restaurant. There are plenty of parking spots in the lot, though it can occasionally get tight if there's any protests on the corner of Culver. CUSTOMER SERVICE - Incredible service. Every single server was helpful, super friendly, and hyper-attentive. They always seemed to be a step ahead of what we needed. BONUS - They have a self-serve Ramyun bar as well as a tea and coffee station (the black coffee was actually good). To top it all off, they bring out a small cup of Thrifty's ice cream at the end of the meal. They only had vanilla the night we visited, but I hear they rotate in strawberry, matcha, and chocolate. VERDICT - Between the high-quality sushi cuts, the great meats, and the stellar customer service, we were thoroughly impressed and will absolutely be back. It's a fantastic new addition to the Irvine KBBQ scene!

Stopped by after the gym & this place was so good. I did the supreme sushi & kbbq. All the meats were tender, my favorite was the marinated rib finger I got a bunch of sides with my favorite being the kimchi fried rice. I also did some sashimi, nigiri and the lobster tail roll. I got so full I didnt have any room for the Ramen bar But overall I left happy, this place was good, service was great and food was good. Definitely a place id come back to .

Don't walk, run here! They opened only 3 months ago? Why aren't they packed for a Friday evening yet? The price for the premium menu was $58/pp and is a bit of a sticker shocker, but it was a great yourself for a hard work week kind of night -- and totally worth it! They have an overwhelming extensive menu of offerings from KBBQ to sushi to a DIY ramen station and hot chocolate and coffee station. They have a lot of options for appetizers, such as japchae, korean fried chicken, tofu soup, egg soup, rice, gyoza, etc. You order everything through the QR code and get to select up to 5 items per category and submit your order every 5 minutes. We didn't know at first and submitted one order of 5 items only, so had to wait a little bit until we can submit another. Don't worry though, because the 90 minute rule was still plenty of time for us. The sushi was actually really good and IMO, was fresher and better cuts than some other ayce places that serve sushi, and that says a lot coming from a sushi connoisseur. Their meats were pretty tasty as well. Only 1 plate was a bit too cartilage to our liking, but we will opt out of getting that again. The ban chan, salad and mixed veggies helped balance out too much protein for us. We didn't have room to visit the ramen bar or get hot chocolate or coffee, but will be sure to try it out in a future visit. We were also offered cookies and creme and vanilla ice cream at the end to enjoy. Tip: The servers also help change out your grill constantly, so you don't have overly burnt food. This was a huge plus to us! The restaurant is a bit hard to find, but just look for Mimi's and they're in the same lot. They probably need to upgrade to a bigger and brighter eye catching sign if they don't already plan to do so.

I was so excited to try Gogi Nori after finding it on TikTok. There are so many AYCE spots now in OC, but I like that this one has sushi and meat options. We did the premium course. You order off of your phone , which is nice for convenience. You can order 5 meats, 5 sushis, etc at a time for each round. The sushi/fish was great! Felt like good quality. I'm still thinking about the wonton chips with tuna tartare! It was a pretty big portion of fish. All the sushi was good and so was the crispy rice, though that portion was quite small. It's okay though because you want to try everything vs. have big portions for something you can't finish! The meat was also good! I enjoyed everything and felt like the quality was good. The ribeye was alright though, would probably not order it due to textural issues in the future. I like that their pork belly was on the thinner side so it made it more manageable to eat! Their other wagyu beef meats were great! Their grill is also pretty unique and didn't burn at all (we chose no marinated meats though). But it was cool to see! They also have a miscellaneous menu of things you can order AYCE; like garlic, rice paper, fries, steamed egg, etc! Drinks are à la carte so you have to pay extra and there's no dessert. Overall, I would definitely come again as it has a great balance of both sushi and meat! Perfect for everyone!

I was looking for something delicious after my graduation ended around 3 PM on a Saturday. Let me tell you, I was STARVING & I'm so glad I found this spot. We were welcomed with smiles, seated, and served instantly! It was my first time here so I tried the Premium Tier - which is amazing and includes both sushi + a variety of their Korean barbecue meats!! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Some of my personal favorites were the beef tongue, short rib finger, salmon + yellowtail carpaccio, and the salmon ponzu nigiri! Our server T - was so sweet, welcoming, and did everything to ensure that my graduation lunch was amazing! He always made sure we were tended to! We appreciate you PS - the cute claw machines are a must when you're done with your meal or waiting to be seated!

Gogi Nori is a new AYCE KBBQ and sushi restaurant that opened in Irvine. Its selling point is that you can eat both KBBQ and sushi and don't need to settle for just one or the other. We made reservations on Yelp but you can also put your name on the waitlist. They have two options: premium ($57.99) and supreme ($74.99). We got the former which included a good variety of meat, sushi, and appetizer options. They also have a ramen bar where you can make instant ramen but we stuck with the KBBQ and sushi. There is a 90 minute time limit where you can order 10 items per order. You have a 4 minute gap between orders when you can order again. We used our phone to pick our food and it came out pretty quickly for us. Out of all the KBBQ options my favorites were the LA galbi, beef bulgogi, and wagyu ribeye. Out of all the sushi options my favorites were the yuzu yellowtail, crispy rice spicy tuna, and eel. Even though you can get the best of both worlds, it did feel a little weird eating salty hot meat followed by the more subtle cold fish. One thing I liked to do was to eat the sushi while the meat was cooking to give myself a break. The supreme option had things like lobster tail and blue crab but the premium option was sufficient for our needs. Neither stood out but if you're looking for both (like we were), this place is a good option and the staff were friendly.

It's always interesting to me that this location went from being an island burger to a Korean Bbq joint then to a new Korean Bbq joint! With that said, me and my cousin decided to finally check this place out! We went on a Sunday around 2pm and was sat immediately. Definitely call ahead to accommodate parties over 8 but this place has a huge setting and will definitely work with you. Onder prepared our table and we explained to him it was our first time here and he was probably one of the best waiters I've had in a long while. He explained everything that was different between the two tier system they have here and also showed us the ramen bar and how that worked. Thanks Onder! You were awesome. The top tier menu price is 74.99 while the premium menu price is 57.99 and all were very fair prices considering all they offered. I mean all you can eat sushi and kbbq what more can you ask for?! We opted to go with the premium. You order through your phone, 5 options at a time for both the sushi and kbbq. First came out the beef tongue, beef belly, pork jowl, and ribeye. All were delicious especially the beef tongue here! The sushi order consisted of their seared items which were all awesome as well. Everything we pretty much ordered here was delicious and I had nothing to complain about. Onder made the experience even better by letting us know that they had ice cream in the end. AWESOME! Overall, I'm glad this place is still an ayce Kbbq sushi spot. The price we paid for is definitely worth it especially all the delicious meats and sushi you are able to get here. Service is top tier and arguably had one of my favorite waiters ever during my restaurant experiences. Definitely get your sushi and kbbq fix here if you have the money for it!

Our first time here with hubby and our sis and our bro. Enjoyed it! Love it, everything so delicious. Our main waiter Johnoson great service, well all the waiters were all great too and Ondre also awesome and he is in one of the pictures. Had to ask for permission before I even post anyone in any pics on any public media. The ambiance is great too. Also to mention I also look for this and not always mention it on any post, bathroom in the women is good, no sewage smell etc and clean. Please everyone is a Must try, absolutely. We will be back definitely by our selves, with families and friends to enjoy.

Gogi Nori is one of the better all you can eat spots I've been to. The quality really stands out compared to typical AYCE places. The sushi tasted fresh and they actually serve real wasabi, which is a huge plus and not something you see often. The meats were just as impressive. You can tell they use premium cuts, and the wagyu had great marbling and flavor. Everything cooked well and didn't feel overly greasy or low quality like some other KBBQ spots. What also made a difference is that it's family owned, and you can feel that there's real care put into the restaurant. Service was attentive and the overall experience felt more elevated than your usual all you can eat. I would definitely come back, especially if you're looking for a place that combines both quality sushi and Korean BBQ in one spot

We came on a Thursday at 4pm and it was really empty, there was probably only two other customers there. Tiffany was one of the managers who helped us order and get to know the menu. She was so sweet and gave a small tour of the place since it just opened 3 weeks ago. My favorite part was the ramen bar!! Such a nice touch and definitely unique for a KBBQ. I'm a pretty simple eater so I didn't order any of the marinated meats (I also have trust issues of them being too sweet). The side dishes were really good and felt fresh (not old). We ordered the beef tongue, beef belly, brisket, and pork jowl. We also got some sushi and carpaccio which were pretty good quality. We got the basic dinner menu AYCE and it was still really good. Overall, I'd give this place 5/5. The staff was attentive, the ramen bar was fun, the meats were good and the vibe was clean. Not too loud. I would bring family and friends here again!

GOGI NORI @ IRVINE This place just opened up as an AYCE KBBQ place with sushi as well, they also had a ramen bar (I wouldn't recommend to really get your moneys worth.) I like how they offer the dinner options for lunch too so you're not stuck with limited selections. The workers were really on top of things and the food came out fast, they also have ice cream available after. Overall 5/5

But I didn't. If a restaurant is closed on certain days, their reservation system shouldn't allow bookings or send confirmations for those days. The trick is to make the bbq flavorful with adding spices and sauce and not so much salt. The ribs were dry..... Do these people not use sauce or sth? The potato salad was good but different. The beans was the worst part of the whole meal. It didn't even have BBQ sauce in it! I am sorry but it didn't even look appetiting! It looked gross. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars review is because I didn't have to wait 3 hours. If I had waited for 3 hours and got this quality of food, I would have been so upset!!!!

Simple offerings in most standard Chinese bbq places but the quality is just excellent. Beef stew noodles could be easily customized and I chose the wide rice noodles. Perfect texture with nice chunks of melt in your mouth beef. Next the 2 item combo with char siu and hainan style chicken. Gosh this was delicious and they didn't skimp on the lovely ginger garlic sauce with silky chicken that pairs with crunchy char siu is as good as a meal in HK

Not that I can say I'm all that surprised in hindsight, but it's still kind of a shame. Mostly because I just wish the food had been better, but also because, despite how impressive the OC food scene is, I hadn't come across any BBQ joints/Cantonese restaurants that SF has so many of until randomly stumbling across this place! Then again, maybe I've just been too distracted by the many Taiwanese options that the Bay Area is so criminally short on... Compared to some of the Chinese BBQ joints that I frequent in the Bay Area, this place felt so much newer and a whole lot cleaner/nicer. That said, while the menu appeared to be a whole lot narrower, they still had a decent selection of offerings to choose from. Along with their nearly twenty different sides/snack dishes, which include items like pig ears with chili sauce, cucumber salad, chicken wings, wontons in chili oil, and tofu skin salad, they also had BBQ meats, like Roasted Duck, Soy Sauce Chicken, and Char Siu, a mix of rice and noodle dishes, and combination plates of their BBQ meats over rice or noodles. Sadly, though, no crispy skin roast pork, which was a huge bummer. -- SWEET FRIED CORN Admittedly, this initially didn't catch my eye, but I'm glad we ended up trying it. Every piece was crispy and I liked how sweet and flavorful the corn was. Plus, it was how this wasn't all that oily, though, I wouldn't have minded a bit more batter for some added crunch. -- WONTONS IN CHILI OIL Not too shabby. Although the skins felt a little overcooked, each piece was fairly plump and I thought the filling was pretty tasty. It was also unexpected to see a bit of broth with the chili oil, but it had a nice flavor to it and just the right amount of spice. -- TWO BBQ ITEM RICE PLATE with Char Siu and Roasted Duck I was the most excited for this, but it left me feeling conflicted. On the plus side, the bowl had a fair amount of both meats and the duck was really good - really juicy and the skin was golden brown. On the other hand, the char siu was super fatty and the rice was mushy. -- DICED GROUND PORK ON RICE...$13.99 More solid than spectacular, but still satisfying enough. Like with the BBQ plate, the meat to rice ratio favored the former and I thought the egg and the veggies complemented this well. At the same time, I wish this had more sauce to it, as the pork look a little dry/pale. In addition to how convenient it was to come here (there was a steady crowd, but it never got packed inside), I appreciated how fast our food came out. Also, I'm not sure if we just got lucky, but it wasn't nearly as hard to find a space in the complex's parking lot as it seemed it would be. Between all of that, the food being decent, and the relatively friendly service, Frank's BBQ & Noodles wasn't bad for some Chinese BBQ. However, it definitely could've been better, especially if Roast Pork had been one of their offerings!

I was convinced I was starving and almost ordered the family meal! Then I remembered it was only the three of us, and since we're visiting from out of town, we couldn't take leftovers back to our hotel. We ended up ordering two bento boxes, and it was more than enough for me, my husband, and My Daughter. Everything was absolutely delicious! The brisket literally melted in my mouth, the crispy pork was perfectly cooked, and every side was just as impressive. The dirty rice, coleslaw, and cornbread were all incredible! One thing we really loved was the outdoor seating area. It was spacious, inviting, and had such a great setup for relaxing and enjoying a meal. It made the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing BBQ and a great atmosphere!

Cole slaw (7/10)-fresh veggies but nothing special dressing was sesame flavor Pork bowl (8.5/10)-chashu was fatty and tender not overly salty! The crispy one was a bit bland but good crunch, coconut rice was well flavored Pandan pudding (7/10)-wish it had more crunch but large portion for $10 easily share between 4 people slightly too sweet Overall some dishes were a miss but others were a hit. We also had beer and was super refreshing under the hot weather. Would love to try the ribs my next visit!

Our server was so helpful and friendly - they grill your food for you at the table, so it's always a plus when they're able to 1. grill the meat perfectly but also 2. make their frequent visits at your table a comfortable one. We opted to order the following meats à la carte: the KSC signature tableside kalbi (which they marinade on the spot and serve with asparagus), then the 48-hour marinated kalbi Seoul style AND Suwon style. I personally liked the Seoul style the most (I felt like it was the perfect balance of salty and sweet), followed by the KSC signature (sweeter than Seoul), and lastly the Suwon style - but they were all superrr tender and full of flavor~ The inside definitely gives off a classy modern vibe, so it's perfect for date night and/or special occasions.
