My house hold loves the food here. The best hibachi chicken & the absolute best yum yum sauce.

When I was working down the street from this restaurant/gas station I decided to try it based upon some reviews. It was a bit hard for me to find because it wasn't clear it's also a gas station and not going to lie that kind of made me weary to try the food as well, but I finally found it so I did. Upon arrival the cleanliness was okay and it's a lot smaller inside than I realized. It took a few minutes to be assisted and the clerk was somewhat rude but I ordered anyway against my better judgment because I didn't feel like finding another place. I didn't want to experiment much so I just got two egg rolls and a side of rice, they were okay but kind of bland. I didn't finish the rice or the egg rolls and just threw them out and haven't been back, as the food wasn't that great. I don't think I'll be returning unless it's to get gas and there is no other station open but again for food, nah. read more

I finally decided to try this gas station hibachi and look on line at there prices. Decided to call in and order steak and shrimp with teriyaki noodles instead of rice. I get there and the prices shown online are not the same. Everything was $5 more for each item. So what was suppose to be $10.50 ended up costing $18 and I didn't even get a drink of my order. When I got my food to go it was closed up with one of those stickers. I guess the though I was a doorDash delivery driver. So I get home and open it up and realize that I didn't even receive the shrimp for my steak and shrimp. They just simply gave me steak hibachi, but they did change out the rice and give me the teriyaki noodles. The food tasted really good, but it's unfortunate that it was expensive as it was. I can go to a hibachi buffet or a Chinese buffet for that price. Also, very disappointing that I didn't even get what I ordered. read more

As a former west coaster, a Yaki spot in a gas station is not entirely a foreign concept, and usually results in some pretty good food. Finding one in NC was unexpected and a bit of a gamble, which luckily paid off. Yes, you heard that right Yelpers, Yaki in a gas station. Don't go in expecting the best you've ever had but this is absolutely passable for a lunch or dinner on the go. I subbed teriyaki noodles for the rice with my chicken kebabs and it was a great choice. The chicken was tender and came with some tasty sauce on the side and the grilled veggies helped round everything out. Pro Tip: grab a beverage to go with your meal, plenty of options considering your location. read more

When you look at this place you're going to want to judge it. It's not pretty and fancy. It's in a GAS station! Now, I'm picky on food and honestly not much locally for Japanese has impressed me.... but this has! It's always good, fresh, and amazing. The portions are just barely too much for me to finish and I always have leftovers. The woman at the front on weekdays makes it better, she remembers my order and even today when I was sick and my boyfriend tried to get my food and was lost on my order she just said "the usual?" And helped him out. Overall this is a "Dont judge a book by its cover" place. If you want to eat at a gas station go ahead, but if you want great take-home Japanese and don't mind the gas pumps outside or cigarettes and lottery tickets being an option at checkout then Gogo Yaki. My point is the atmosphere inside isn't the best but the food is up there. Don't shy away from the hot sauce unless you don't like hot sauce. read more

Don't let the gas station fool you; the food here is super good. They have a daily lunch special that is always worth it. With the daily special, you get teriyaki (or hibachi) chicken with vegetable friend rice and a spring roll. All of it was good, and I'm not usually a big fan of spring rolls. The chicken was quality and the vegetables were fresh. I highly recommend getting white sauce over the ginger. They give you a ton of it too. 3 ramekins for a styrofoam box full of food. This place can't be beat. They have a little seating area too, but I got mine to go. The only turn off for me was the diet coke. I wasn't a huge fan; the drink machine might have been low on carbonation. Definitely going back here. read more

Cheap, quick, to-go habachi style food. Exactly what I was looking for! This place is tucked inside a gas dtation, which is abnormal around here but quite the smart idea! The convenience store clerk takes your order and rings up any other goodies you want from the normal convenience section, and the cooks get to work on your food order. There are tables and a television for if you choose to dine in, but all are prepared to be taken to go. I enjoyed it. read more

I was down there for business. When the boss said he was taking use for dinner and we walked over to a gas station I thought he was joking. When I saw it was a "gas station japanese steakhouse" I was floored. I could not imagine getting steakhouse food from a gas station and surviving. Well, I could not have been more wrong. Not only was the food inexpensive (about $8 for a steak dinner) there was a ton of food and it was awesome. I was stunned. The meat was good quality, the flavors were great and the fried rice was really good as was the Yum Yum sauce. It was so good I craved it 2 nights later and had to get it again. It might seem scary but trust me, you can't go wrong. Things may have changes as I was there 11/2014 but then it was really good...plus I had the added benefit of telling people I ate a gas station steakhouse meal and how good it was. read more

I had my friend pick me up an order because i was at a tech rehearsal, and I asked for chicken with vegetables and instead of rice, extra vegetables. When I got what I asked for, there was a very small amount of chicken, and instead of a full plate of vegetables, I got BARELY ANY. I'm not much of a fan of onions either, and what I had of vegetables was 90% onions. The chicken was good though. read more

Stopped in for a fill up and notice the restaurant. Prices pretty reasonable and decided why not. Wasn't anything to write home about. Maybe it was an off day for them. It was quick and fast. I got the Teriyaki chicken. read more
