I seem to always call these guys first when going to the DCA airport. Cabs are clean and they have always arrived on time. In fact they usually arrive a few minutes early. They seem to drive the hybrid Toyota Camry. I like the fact that they use the Camry, vs the Prius, as the Camry has more room, not just for people but also luggage. Only ever had one time that they couldn't pick me up at my scheduled time, but hey it was 4:30am after all. They had to come a bit earlier due to a conflict. I made a reservation on Monday, 7/27/15 at 3:50pm using the online reservation system for my 15 year old needing a ride from his job training program. It was raining really heavily, so I texted my son that I would get a cab and would text him after I received the confirmation. The confirmation never came. I texted them to request the cab a second time and to confirm. Both the online request and the text were ignored. So I called. There was no answer. So I called another company, which also took so long to show up that the rain had stopped by then and my son was able to walk home. He wound up waiting 50 minutes when I really needed a cab for him (work reasons). It looks like this is a small business, so if all the drivers were on a run, then at the very least the office should have put that notice up online at the reservation screen, left a voice message on their main phone line, or replied that no one would be available via text. I'm glad that the other patrons have had great experiences with Go Green Taxi; it's the reason why I emailed, called, and texted. However, if they are a serious business they must have a dedicated staff that answers the phones, especially when there is inclement weather and business is heavy. If they are unable to meet demand, then call your customers back, and let them know! Or better yet, hire sufficient staff. The nature of a taxi service is transportation, usually urgent or significant, when a bus won't do. Understand your customer base. If an Alexandrian has called you for a cab, it is probably to get to/from work, medical care, the airport, or there is inclement weather. Those are all urgent, time-sensitive situations for which they are relying on the information the taxi service provides. Be professional. When my son was going to take your cab he was going to pay with real cash, not monopoly money. So when you say there is a reservation system, then respond your customers. read more

I work in MN, so I catch a cab to DCA early every Monday morning. As a frequent traveler, they're perfect for my needs. Specifically: -Experience: The cabs are clean and the drivers are polite and friendly. -Speed: The cabs arrive on time. Both cabs I've used use Square, which means the transaction part is super quick and they can email you the receipt. I have to expense these cab rides, so that makes my life a lot easier. -Customer Service: It's a small company, so they can really cater focus on great customer service. I live in a confusing apartment complex, so as much as possible, they try to send me the same driver so I don't have to help someone navigate to my place. I made a reservation using the online site. Within a couple minutes, a woman named Evelyn called me back. She told me it would take a long time for them to travel out to Loudoun County (where I live) since they operate out of Alexandria. (I didn't realize they only serve out of Alexandria, or I would have called a local cab to begin with) But here's what shocked me. And in 20 years of taking cabs, this is TRULY a SHOCK. Evelyn not only told me that I could probably get faster transportation than what GoGreen could provide at that moment, but she called a cab company in my area to see if they could serve me quicker than GoGreen could. She even negotiated the cab company's flat rate to Dulles down below the fare I would have been charged. When I had agreed to take the local service, the other cab company was on the other line waiting to hear if they should pick me up. When I agreed, she gave them all of my info for me. Within 10 minutes, I was picked up by another cab company, and Evelyn texted me a map with my route and who to expect to pick me up. Did I actually get into a GoGreen car? No, but the customer service that Evelyn provided was beyond awesome. Especially in the world of cab services, where dispatchers can be like talking to machines, I was really thrilled to have received great attention from a company that had no obligation to help me like that. Just because of her, I am going to go out of my way to use them when I am in their area. I am in no way affiliated with this company. I'm just psyched to come across a company that seems to CARE. I had to go downtown for a 3 days conference and I used GoGreen Cab for most of the rides. I was able to get a cab with only 30 minutes notice. I did most of the communication via text messages. The driver that picked me up on the first day took me on the 395 HOV lane (when there were two of us, 395 HOV is 3+). He said that the law allows taxi with two or more to use the lane. I tried to google this but unable to find it anywhere. On the way home, I contacted them again. The cab driver texted and told me that he was on his way to pick me up. However, he ended going to a different address. Apparently, the call center gave him the wrong address. It was no biggie for me since there was a cab line outside of the convention center where I was. I continued to use them the next morning. Why? It was easy to book a ride, they were on time, the cab were clean, and the drivers were friendly. I yelped the other taxi companies in the area and got scared of all the bad reviews. My to and from rides for the rest of my conference was good. Why only two stars? Normally I wouldn't look at the charges on my credit card statement so careful. This time I was on a business trip, I used the company card and needed to file the expense reimbursement report. As most of you know, in order to be reimbursed, the transactions on the credit card must match with my receipt. I found that one particular driver was dishonest. There was an additional 26 cents on one transaction, and 30 cents on the other. Did I mention that I tipped him well too (20-25% of the fare amount). I disputed the charges with amex and now waiting for the credit. Not all drivers from this company are dishonest, but if you are going to use them, please make sure you keep your receipt and review your credit card statement. read more

Reserved them 3 times for rides to/from the airport - they were always timely despite one being at 5am, 8pm, and 1am. Did the booking online, since it seems like the only way - and then they call to confirm. Apparently I can text them too, but I don't like the idea of that so much. Got a discount as a 'repeat' customer, which is very nice -- the rides were fine and safe, though definitely getting a long polite pitch requesting I put a review on yelp after coming from a super delayed flight, lost luggage, and being close to 2am is something I would highly recommend they don't do with other customers in the future, as all I wanted to do is have a quiet zoned-out ride. read more

I live near the Van Dorn Metro in Alexandria but it's far enough that a cab is needed, so I saw all these rave reviews for GoGreen. Tried them, but from my perspective they're not even in business, they're "Ghost Cab". Their website is just a reservation form, ok, so I completed for a reservation 3 days ahead of time. 24hrs later, no confirmation email. Called their number, got voicemail that said to use the form, ugh. Found an email address on the form, sent an inquiry to that, 24hrs later, that's right, no response. I have used Go Green exclusively for transportation to the airport for the past 6 months or so (usually 2-3 trips/month) and have yet to be disappointed. One of the best cab services I have ever used - clear communications, prompt pick-up, superb service and drivers. Could not recommend this cab service more highly - puts other area car services to shame! Context: Maryland to Reagan ride, 4am pick-up, international cell phone only, pick-up address of a new property that doesn't register on Google maps. After calling 5 other area cab companies to no avail (seriously inflated prices, no pick-up from Maryland, no delivery to DC, no confirmation available, unable to book without US number) - I put a request through to GoGreen despite needing a pick up from Maryland, not Alexandria where they are based. Evelyn wrote back to me within a half hour (this is early morning on a Sunday) and conversed with me via email promptly and clearly. She gave recommendations on how to call them on an international cell (Viber), and swiftly confirmed a driver with me, assuring me he would be prompt and giving me his cell. I was then able to confirm my location and also make sure the driver was on his way by texting the driver. GoGreen stayed in communication with me throughout the process - even at 3:30am in the morning to let me know the driver had left to come pick me up. Mr Ahmad arrived 15 minutes early and also took the time to find an optimal route to take me to Reagan - he was an absolute gentleman and I had a great ride. Thank you so much! read more

The online reservation service is a great concept and provides you with peace of mind knowing you have a confirmed reservation. They keep in contact with you through text, letting you know when the driver is on the way and outside ready for pickup. Horrible Horrible Horrible experience. I called requesting service from 5134 Leesburg Pike to Ballston Metro Station. it took longer than 35 minutes. Every ten minutes I get a call or a text saying the cab number it is on the way. Nobody showed up at the end ignoring also my calls. God bless New York,you just have stop walking in the street to find out that at least two cabbies fighting to get you !!!!!!!! That was a sad experience a rainy dark night and I do not know anyone. finally I looked up there was a bus I took and it cost me only $ 1.75 read more

If I could rate our driver, Nebiyou, 10 stars I would. I mistakenly left my phone in another companies cab and we went on a long journey to find it. We were very grateful for his willingness to basically drive to Maryland from Alexandria to find my phone (thank God for tracking apps). Quite simply, this is the only cab you should be using in Alexandria, especially if you are a Cameron Station resident. Incredibly responsive to reservation requests and the best courtesy in the business. I used them to go to Dulles recently and back home again. I like the flat fee for CS residents and my on-line reservation request made from Heathrow at 1 am here was confirmed promptly. I boarded my flight for Dulles with the assurance I would have a cab waiting for me when I cleared customs. No hassle...walk out the door and straight in the cab at curbside. Marvelous! I had a very early train to catch for the holidays and didn't want to rely on Uber/Lyft that early in the morning and also didn't want to rely on Red Top or Yellow Taxi after bad experiences with them. GoGreen Cab is a small operation so make sure you schedule ahead of time if you want to use them. The company's driver was very professional and courteous. Dispatch notified me when my cab was on the way and the driver arrived on-time. You are almost hiring a town car service instead of a taxi service. I accidentally left my wallet in the cab and almost immediately after arriving at my drop-off point; the driver called me and turned around to allow me to pick it up. Customer service is their speciality! Fair warning, you will pay a lot more for their service compared to Uber/Lyft, although they will be on time, they know the area, and they are very professional. read more
