Going Green never responded to my email inquiry, but I called because I like their philosophy. I wanted to take their service to and from my wedding- nothing crazy, just a ride there early afternoon and a ride home at midnight. They do not do this type of package for 'weddings' so I asked for a quote for just point-to-point since that is really what it is. Turms out they won't allow limos to be used for this on a weekend, even the one at midnight. I don't know if they don't have enough limos or just want to get away with saying there is a 4 hour minimum on this... It's unfortunate because I really wanted to use them, but their rules are too rigid. I have gotten quotes from 6 other companies since and none of the others have this restriction. I don't think it's too much to ask for a limo home from your wedding to have some privacy rather than sitting in a sedan or SUV with a stranger. read more

Our driver has always been early, and has the car seat and children's video playing for our daughter when we get in. We always have a hybrid SUV, which is extremely clean and fits all of our luggage. We recently used Going Green to transport 10 people (6 adults, 1 kid, 2 toddlers and a baby) from the north suburbs to ORD (and back a week later). I called numerous limo companies trying to find one that provided car seats. Going Green's large van fit all of us plus our luggage. The additional fee we paid for car seats was well worth it because they were clean, size-appropriate, and best of all already installed. The driver Rich arrived early for pickup and was professional and safe. We will definitely use them again when we don't want to drag car seats on our travels. read more

Terrible service. Less than pleasant way to end a vacation. When planning this year's holiday vacation, my husband and I thought we would treat ourselves to a comfortable return...no waiting after a four-hour flight, etc. After our experience with 'Going Green Limousine', we wished we had opted for public transportation or a stinky cab. I'll keep it brief...in making my reservation, I specified the number of passengers (2 adults and a 2.5 year-old toddler), that we would need a forward-facing car seat for our son, that we would have a travel stroller and three pieces of luggage. All of this was communicated AND actual...3 passengers and 4 pieces confirmed in the reservation. Upon being picked up by Jeff in a Ford Escape, he immediately challenged my husband, who was assisting him with the luggage; Jeff charged my husband with not giving an accurate description of our luggage to the reservationist, commenting that they "have others" in terms of sizes of cars. Rude and unprofessional rather than apologetic for the tight fit. Happy New Year to you too Jeff. Even luggage aside, two average-sized adults and a carseat in the backseat of small SUV is tight. Not impressed and even more disappointed in the response I received from the company's president after I replied to an auto-email I received from the company in which they stated they were confident we would be happy with the service. Wow...presumptuous. She claimed that they had never had any complaints and that she was surprised to hear my commentary about Jeff. Really? I'll leave it at that. Just hope to save someone else the disappointment. Oh...and one star is justified because scheduling was relatively simple (although they didn't note that I needed a toddler forward-facing car seat so they needed to clarify that while I was in baggage claim). read more

I picked this company based only on its great Yelp reviews and lowest price. Funnily enough, this company also fit my personal philosophy the best in terms of being the most environmentally/socially conscious of the limo companies out there. The service on the phone was nice, personable, and efficient (we later found it was the wife our driver Jesse who I believe is also the owner). Our driver Jesse was right on time at 3 AM!! (leaving for a 5am flight). Even so, Jesse was very apologetic because he says he usually likes to get to pick-up's at least a half hour in advance! but could not this time because of some technical issues with the car. Jesse was very personable and helpful but also left myself and my large group (eight people) to enjoy the limo. The super stretch limo (fits 10) has two tv's with dvd's, a fully stocked bar, leather, lights inside, etc. Everyone in our group including wife and family were very impressed with the limo and the service. On our trip back from the airport we will be using Going Green again and we highly recommend this company as your first choice in limousine services. read more

It's hard to find a good, reliable limousine/chauffeur car service with a responsive call center and nice drivers, but Going Green ticks all those boxes! We rented a 7 seat SUV for our wedding party and were extremely happy with the service. The call center staff were very helpful and responsive, when we asked the driver to come early only 60 mins before the scheduled pick up time, they were happy to oblige. The driver was friendly and professional, and was happy to alter the route to stop for photos wherever we wanted. It was a very positive experience from start to finish. Those with small children in Chicago know that safe, convenient transportation with car seats to/from the airport is hard to find. Going Green has found a wide open niche and is doing awesome serving this market. They are on time, their price is exactly what they say, they understand that a kid at age 1 gets a different car seat (probably) than a kid at age 2, the car seats are already installed when they arrive and you are on your way. We had one flub on a pick-up once and they fixed it very quickly and credited us the entire trip without asking. WHAT AN AMAZING AND AWESOME COMPANY!!! I was nervous about choosing a limousine service in a city I am not familiar with for a weekend event for my company - long distance. I chose Going Green because the reviews for them on Yelp! were so stellar. I was not disappointed!!! I personally was not able to experience their car service, but my boss cannot stop raving about them. It's just a wonderful plus that all their vehicles are environmentally friendly. I scheduled at least five trips, with two different-sized vehicles, over the course of the weekend. My boss reported that each and every time the cars were impeccably clean and the drivers timely and incredibly helpful. My boss also stated that the drivers' appearances were not only professional and neat, but they were elegantly attired. The drivers' went above and beyond with the help they provided to some of the members of my boss' party as they had some minor physical disabilities and could not easily enter or exit the vehicles. I did personally speak with Rebecca when making the reservations and she could not have been sweeter, more helpful, or professional. I coordinate the fundraising activities for my company all over the US and Going Green Limousine is, by far, the best company - in any category - I have had the pleasure to work with. I just brought a group of 35 from California to Chicago for a work trip. We used Going Green to provide passenger van service for 2 full days and had an excellent experience. I'd given them our itinerary and addresses for both days, and everything went off without a hitch. The 3 drivers were at each location at least 15 minutes early and didn't seem to mind when our group was running late. They were all professional and friendly. We used Going Green on our wedding day, to drive the photographers and the bride/groom (us!) party around downtown Chicago for First Look photos. All interactions with the company prior to our service were prompt, friendly, and accommodating. Our driver was on-time and flexible - especially considering we had a number of stops and he had to wait for us during each photo stop. Your prices were by far better than any other company I checked with and both the ride out and ride home were in spotless, Ford Expeditions. The car seats were spotless, in fact, they looked brand new. The drivers were on time, friendly, helpful and had cold bottled water for us. Despite my giving the wrong flight information for our return, I was contacted via phone by the company and promptly texted by the driver. Everything was perfect. In fact, the driver on the return trip even joined in singing Happy Birthday to me with my family.
