We were looking for a way to get eight 11-year-olds and four adults to LEGOLand in Schaumburg for a birthday party which is about an hour away. We decided to try to arrange a limousine to make the trip special. One quick phone call and we booked Going Green's stretch Lincoln Navigator. Jessie, the driver, arrived on time and helped all of us get loaded. After a quick tour of the Navigator showing us how to work the air and the music, we were on our way. The Navigator was clean and in perfect shape. All 12 of us fit perfectly. The girls loved the starry sky in the ceiling! We arrived exactly on time at LEGOLand. As a bonus, there were also 12 seatbelts! When it was time to leave, Jessie was ready for us at the front door. He was polite and courteous with a lovely sense of humor. He even took our photo for us in front of the limo with all of our party hats and balloons. He also helped load some of our extra food from the party into the back trunk. Our ride home was just as smooth and fun as the ride out. At one point the girls erupted into singing a Katy Perry song, and Jessie told them over the intercom that he would take them over the radio any day. They were thrilled. This is just THE BEST car service in Chicago! Dependable, safe, and always there for you. I had a nightmare of a flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Chicago a few nights ago. This was one of those trips where the original plane discovers a mechanical issue as it is pulling away from the gate and they have to change planes. In my case, the replacement plane left about 4 hours later than the original. We get close to Chicago and circle over Indiana (which I haven't done for years!) and take a slow, slow approach to O'hare when-whoosh, we are revving the engines, climbing and turning south. The pilot comes on and announces we are heading to St. Louis for refueling. We get there at 12:20AM and then leave to return to Chicago with a full tank at 1:00AM, arriving at 2:00AM. I am officially 6 hours and 45 minutes late. Now the practice of limousine companies is to pick you up no matter what and I have used this company for years. I calmly relaxed knowing that I would not have to worry about someone being there to pick me up at the airport. So we land and taxi to the gate. Just like clockwork, my driver texted me and made sure I knew how to call him when I retrieved my bag. I did and he was there promptly and took me home. I later found out that he had been the driver who was assigned and had waited the full time for me. I called later and got the full story and determined that for service like that, which was above and beyond, I owed him a bonus. You always need to take care of service personnel when they go out of their way for you - and this was just amazing. Bottom line: I didn't ever have to worry about my ride and I always have found Going Green to be ultra-dependable and SAFE. I used to use this service for rides to and from the airport regularly. Had no issues until guests from out of town missed their connection and had to reschedule their pickup. Going green canceled the existing reservation without refund and insisted on charging full price for the new pickup time. Operator told me that a manager would call me back to rectify. I called back a few hours later and was told that a manager would call me the next morning but no one ever called me back. Extra star for offering car seats for kids. read more

Whether you care that their cars are fuel efficient is immaterial (I happen to like it but some might not care). The owners are ridiculously polite and helpful, their service is appropriately priced and the drivers extremely prompt and courteous. Chose this service because of an online coupn and am very happy I did. Very punctual, even early, en route to the airport. Even better, when they say they are tracking your flight and know you land, they mean it! Trust me, not all the limo services do. When I called from the luggage carousel, they said my driver would be there in "six minutes" and yes, he was! Saving me the 10 minutes of shivering on that "arranged ride" island I thought was mandatory when flying into O'Hare. And this was New Year's Day night, a busy travel time. My fantastic experience with this company began from the 1st moment, when I simply sent them a Quote Request via email. SO many other places claimed you could request a quote online, but then they'd just send you an email saying "call this number for a quote" OR they just didn't respond at all!! We're all busy & the convenience of a quote via email is something that we should be able to expect! Going Green responded within 24 hours & their quote was MORE than reasonable. I mentioned in my quote request that I was buying this sedan service for my Mom, for her wedding. The friendly gal who responded with my quote was even personable, wishing my Mom well & saying what a great gift idea this was. Then I was able to make the booking online myself- which I also was happy for (convenient!). I made a mistake & put my Mom's email in, which would have resulted in her getting a receipt with the price on it! Yikes! I called Going Green immediately & another extremely nice, obviously caring employee helped me out of that mistake. Day-of service, I got a receipt letting me know my card had been charged, along with a repeat of all the details of my booking. Then the night of the wedding, they wound up needing an earlier pickup, so I called & they were very accommodating (again, wishing my Mom well with her wedding & just generally being kind & friendly). The driver was great with communication (calling when he arrived) & both he & the return trip driver (which was 2 days later) were professional, prompt & courteous. We were having trouble finding a ride to the airport for our very early flight thae day before Thanksgiving. Most of the car companies we prioced out either charged a premium for a 3am pickup or didn't pick up then at all. We didn't want to risk a cab either not showing up or refusing to allow our small dog (in a carrier) to ride. Fantastic service! We needed service at 4:30AM Christmas morning. The owner personally picked us up. He was on time and extremely friendly and chipper for having to drive that early on Christmas morning. The car itself was impeccably clean, very quiet because it was a hybrid, and they even had ammenities such as water and tissues available. We were thrilled at the quality of the service and the quality of the car, and the ride home was no different. I'm a bit late in writing this review, as I last used the service in February 2014. For our trip to O'Hare, the driver arrived right on time. The requested car seat was already installed, which was great considering my 1 year old was rather annoyed that he was yanked out of his warm, comfortable crib at 4:30 AM to go to the airport in Chiberia weather. Our scheduled return coincided with yet another winter storm warning for Chicago. Our flight from OGG to LAX wasn't in any danger of being canceled, but our connecting flight back from LAX to ORD definitely was. Not wanting to be stranded there with the 1 year old and quick-to-complain 8 year old, I changed our flight to two days later. I was impressed that someone at Going Green Limousine answered the phone and sounded awake and alert at 3 AM Chicago time. The schedule change went through with no problems. Each driver was courteous and drove very well. While the price is a bit high for me to afford on a regular basis, it seems like you get what you pay for with car service, so I'm willing to pay more to this company. read more

Cars were clean; both drivers were great - very courteous. We used Going Green Limo on our wedding day 2 years ago and for transportation to and from the airport for our honeymoon. They were great! Clean cars, super polite, on time, etc. This past week we used them for transportation to and from the airport and it was a very poor experience. The first driver was late picking us up for our ride to the airport, was apparently sitting in someone else's driveway waiting for us. The check engine light in his Ford Escape was on and the car was in desperate need of a brake job. There were a few times I didn't think he was going to be able to stop. Extremely unsafe! After we returned from our vacation we were told to text or call our assigned driver when we had gathered our bags are were ready to be picked up. We did so and then waited 30 minutes before he arrived. I don't know if that's acceptable or if I was just grumpy from the long day of travel. This driver's brakes were just as bad, may have been the same Ford Escape. Severe jerking every time he applied the brakes. Both drives were very polite and helped us with our bags in and out. However driver 2 was either very tired or had problems seeing at night. He drove 5mph under the speed limit the entire time and swerved into the other lane several times. We both agree that something has happened to this company since we first used them and we will not being using the again. read more

I booked Going Green off of some great Yelp reviews. My main need was for a rear facing carseat to be installed for both ways. I planned to take the train once in the city so just needed airport transportation to avoid traveling with a carseat. The car service in general was great, very easy to book, reasonably priced, drivers both ways were on time, nice and helpful to me (mom traveling alone with baby). The cars were both very nice and clean, and they even included water bottles which was nice. I will say that the carseats were quite possibly the cheapest carseats ever made (one of the two I had in particular). They both had messed up straps (most likely from previous users) and I was pretty nervous about both rides with my daughter. The seats were installed with a seatbelt (not LATCH) and could have been tighter installs. The straps were twisted on one and on the other seat one of the sides was too long. I wasn't familiar with the seats enough to fix them on the fly. So overall, very happy with the car service, not so happy with carseat quality, however probably about the same level as getting one from a rental car company. read more

As a single mom traveling with a 9 month old baby, I checked reviews to find a service with car seats already installed that could help me with all the bags required when traveling with a baby. Since this company had good reviews on yelp I called and made a reservation. Bottom-line is this is the most unhelpful limo company I've ever experienced and feel a need to warn others traveling with small children. First, I didn't receive a call to say the car had arrived, I had to call the company and they had to call me back. Secondly, I asked the driver to come help with the bags, he was very hesitant to come to the front door of the building and when I asked him to come up to the second floor to my actual condo, he looked horrified by the request. I had one suitcase that was about 40 lbs and I live on the second floor, I don't consider this an excessive request, since I'm paying $95 for a limo to the airport. He told me he had hernia surgery and couldn't lift anything!!! I had to put the baby in a car seat in my hall which caused the baby to start screaming, while I went and carried all of the bags, not only out of my building, but I had to load the suitcase and baby stroller INTO HIS LIMO!!! Even a taxi has better service than that. I said to the driver, why wouldn't they send someone who can lift a bag, when I specifically ordered a limo and paid extra to have a car seat installed, didn't you think I would need help, in which he responded - we're very busy and overbooked... this is not my problem ... well it actually turned out to be. It's hard enough traveling with a baby and this company is not one I would ever use again. read more
