The ladies here were very friendly and offer a variety of goods (coffee, pastries, chocolates, ice cream- amongst other things). I got a cafe au lait, and added some cocoa and cinnamon on top. The cherry danish matches my shoddily painted nails and looks very tasty. Stop here on your road trip

I agree with a previous reviewer, the clam chowder (New England style) in a bread bowl is excellent. The bread had a flaky crust and was better than most loafs used for bread bowls. The top of the loaf was toasted and buttered--so good. The plastic knifes they have will even cut the bread. My drip style coffee was very good too. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The setting is plain with art works (for sale) on the wall and windows on the highway.

Ordered an iced latte with white chocolate/coconut and it was delicious! Not too sweet, not too bitter. Only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the pastry selection left me wanting, but it was past noon when I went in. Adding on to my review since my husband grabbed some food for us for breakfast. Breakfast burritos were good, not amazing. Wish the egg to potato ratio was a bit more even. Too many taters. He also grabbed us some cream puffs, the filling was to die for! So good. read more

I have no complaints about the place at all. The server was nice and funny considering i was there 15 minutes after opening. The coffee was fresh and just the right flavor for the morning. The pastries were yummy and the overall price was adequate for what you get. Plus there is a nice bookstore on the second floor! read more

Came in close to closing and ordered three drinks. The barrista was kind and got our drinks out quickly. Super good latte. We also tried the lavender and Marion berry scone which was awesome! Not too overpowering on the lavender but enough to taste it. read more

Great coffee drinks and pastries with good service and attention to detail. Moreover, it's part of Gold Beach books which has an art gallery for local artists and both new and used books. The new books by local writers and on local topics are also great for visitors For me, grabbing a warm beverage and a cookie on a rainy afternoon while starting on a book I've just picked up is just the trick for a rainy afternoon! read more

My friends and I are on a road trip up the coast and golden beach coffee was the closet shop to our route. We weren't expecting much but just needed some coffee to start our morning. We were all thoroughly shocked when we tasted the best coffee and pastries we had ever had. 30 minutes later we are still talking about it and decided to write a review. There was only one woman behind the bar but she was so sweet and wished us safe travels on our way out. The service was fast for only one persons as well I definitely recommend anyone traveling through to stop in and get the best coffee ever. We felt very welcomed and it had such a warm and cozy vibe. read more

Used books (including collectibles) and local artwork galore with a cute cafe with tasty pastries and well made lattes. We got the cream cheese, spinach, and bacon puff and an apple streusel. This tiny little spot was HOPPING. They only have three 4-tops and 6 bar seats, so expect to wait for a seat. Or, better yet, use their drive through window for a grab and go meal. The inside is designed like your traditional Mexican restaurant with rustic paintings on the walls, lots of bright colors, parrots, etc. You know the place, its your favorite neighborhood Mexican eatery. The food was pretty darn good. I had the Camarones Rojo and my wife tried the birria torta. Both dishes were fantastic, the shrimp was spicy and super flavorful and their beans & rice are AMAZING. Best I've had outside of Mexico really. My wife loved her torta. The carne was juicy, the bread crispy on the outside and chewy inside, fantastic. You have to order the consume separately but its a must. It ranks in my wife's top 3 favorites. There were only a couple not quite perfect things. Nothing to major, but worth mentioning. The birria torta came with raw jalapeños. While fresh and usually enjoyable, this just provided an additional raw heat that didn't go we'll with the rest so she removed them. If you dine in they provide chips & salsa. Unfortunately the salsa was quite bland. The chips needed salt too. They worked as an appetizer but could have been better. They have a few more dishes we're excited to try and look forward to eating here again!
