Warm and welcoming. The Ben Franklin stove was on, tunes playing in the kitchen with a full cook team. We were greeted with smiles. The Eggs Benedict was tasty and the peach and pecan waffle cooked just right. Food was served quickly. Coffee was a bit weak for my taste. I can see some coffee snobs being disappointed but that didn't ruin our breakfast or experience. Indian Creek Cafe is a local tradition.

The reviews for this place are kind of mixed so I was a little apprehensive about it until I tasted that sausage gravy. It's so freaking good. I ordered the chicken fried steak with sourdough, and the steak itself is standard but the gravy was a delight. My partner got the waffles which comes with a very thick syrup and it's a bit chewy but he enjoyed it overall. Great place to stop by for quality classic american breakfast food. Plenty of parking up at the front of the restaurant as well.

This place was perfectly cozy and exactly what we were looking for on a windy Friday morning. A nice rustic spot along the creek with classic breakfast food - we devoured our waffles (*drool*). Our server was super sweet and always had coffee flowing.

Would make the drive for these waffles!!

Wow!!! One of the best breakfasts I've ever had!! If you're in the neighborhood, you have to give this place a try! Our waitress, Melissa, was super friendly & quick with our order! She recommended the pecan waffle and she wasn't wrong... The pecan waffle was off the hook & I didn't want it to end! Caleb, the chef, cooked the bacon to perfection!! We also ordered a BLT with avocado that came with homemade potato salad and it was pretty amazing as well!

Food & service were great! Ordered to go so I can't comment on dining in, but overall loved it.

Nothing interesting or groundbreaking about these boards for the prices in my opinion. Everything seemed liked basic grocery store items and I make more artisanal and elevated boards just at home. Service was subpar. Table of 2 & they asked for my ID to seat us at the bar -- we didn't plan to sit there but that's what seemed available to them. was there at a very slow point of the day. The place itself is small and not very spacious. Overall my first experience at this could have been way better and I did expect more. I also visited the store that is interconnected -- bought a few items including a coconut blondie. The blondie was delicious but service in the store was just the same as the restaurant.

I was relieved to find that not only are there wholesome homemade soups on offer but the sandwiches are made with homemade and unboring ingredients like house-baked bread, dilly tuna salad, chanterelles and their own cranberry sauce. I ordered the veggie sandwich, and a cup of the daily soup: veggie stew with chanterelles. Both were brimming with fresh vegetables, and they did not skimp on those freshly foraged mushrooms. Service was so friendly and welcoming. Our sandwiches took a bit longer than the time it takes to stand in line at a Subway. And that is for good reason; the owners were lovingly putting the finishing touches on our lunches as if we were visiting house guests. Definitely stop at the OAS if you're passing through or staying nearby.

I love this place, and desperately want it to succeed…read more My partner and I can't afford to go a lot; we're not rich or even medium income. But when we can go, it's so worth it. I am not certain, but I think reservations are a must. That may not be; check when you call. Either way, make a reservation regardless, because seating in this small culinary gem is limited. The meal is not pre-prepared. You are going to wait. That's good. Have a drink, kick back, and let the feeling that life is good wash over you. Because it is. That's what the best restaurants give you: the sense that life is good, is special, and places like this are worth every penny you spend on their food and drink. The chefs and the cooks and the wait staff aren't hidden behind a door, but work behind a counter, usually with some boss music playing. The last time we were there it was some tasty R&B, but it changes. Another plus. It isn't loud, just enough to add to the ambience. Excellent Italian food awaits. Not a big menu, but the best places don't have big menus. Very decently priced for the portion sizes and the atmosphere. Our last outing we dropped $85 for food, drinks, and a 20% tip. So worth it. Small towns like Port Orford ... they survive by means of places like these. Not corporately owned, but locally; not a chain, but a small, intimate, proudly part of the town, open and welcoming. If you're passing through, pop by. Their hours are limited (especially in winter), so don't hesitate to make a reservation if you're going to go. Bon appetite!

Being happy is a choice…read more I was passing through Bandon and decided to stop at this large warehouse-style spot that combines clothing, a bit of live music, a small fish market, and a coffee counter. It had an interesting, eclectic vibe, so I figured I'd grab breakfast there. I ordered a coffee and a gluten-free bagel with salmon which was awesome! Three stars for the food! I would've given more, but considering the circumstances. The employee who helped me was noticeably unfriendly from the start and very monotone and detached. I sat at the counter right by the coffee area and watched her interact with other customers. The service stayed consistently flat and impersonal. She even forgot to give one gentleman his coffee and scone and didn't apologize or acknowledge the mistake, which was surprising. I own a business myself, and customer-facing roles are critical. The person at the counter is the first impression people get. If they're not warm or attentive, it really hurts the whole experience. Unfortunately, that was the case here. The concept of the place is cool and has potential, but they need to seriously reevaluate their front-of-house staff and bring in people who actually enjoy engaging with customers. Without friendlier service, they risk losing business in a town that sees plenty of visitors. I probably won't be stopping back on future trips.
